View Full Details of Buckland CourtI find all staff helpful and responsive with any concerns or queries I have and actions necessary are carried out promptly. There is a slight turnover in staff, especially on nights, but not problematic. We have a good relationship. I hope they feel the same.
All staff work incredibly hard, they are welcoming and polite. In my eyes, the care home is well presented but it would be nice to open the courtyard area for the summer months where residents and their family could sit outside when visiting. Regarding my mum, I would like staff to keep up encouraging her to come out of her room. Thank you.
Very good due to the way I was struggling to get along at home on my own, I'm feeling a lot better. A bit frustrated with the lack of freedom but a lot is due to Covid restrictions. Before Covid, I could go for shopping etc. but now I can't unless a staff member is with which is not easy. When Covid is over, hopefully I could get a bus to Salisbury etc. just for a bit of a break or even get my car in use again.
Just perfect in every way. He only does two days a week but when the sad time comes for full-time care, would not hesitate for Buckland Court.
I found the staff helpful and friendly, easy to talk to about my dad, how he was and how he was coping. They were all very good with him, making sure he was comfortable and looked after well. They were all a great team and Dad will miss them all.
My mother came into the home just before Christmas so was able to enjoy the Christmas entertainment. She was suffering from dementia so it was difficult for her but the carers were all lovely and she became very fond of them all. During her final days in the home, the care she received was lovely, kind, and respectful, catering to all of her and ours as a family, needs. I can't thank them enough for making what was a difficult time, easier.
My husband has been in Buckland Court for nearly three years and spent four years going to the day centre before Covid. he is very well cared for by lovely caring staff. He is clean, happy and safe, despite being bedridden and non-verbal with dementia. I attend most days to give him his tea, I am greeted by smiling faces, clean rooms and a happy atmosphere.
My mum was only at Buckland Court for the last three weeks of her life but the staff did their utmost to make her feel included and then comfortable when end-of-life care became necessary. I am very grateful that Mum was so well looked after.
Only been here for two months. Very much left alone to myself. My choice, I want to be left to die in peace.
My mother-in-law has been at Buckland Court for just over a year and is very happy there. Her mobility has improved considerably since her arrival and she walks around with her frame, popping into the office for chats! The care staff are lovely and their interactions with mum are always jolly and caring. Mum loves the food and tells me that she is happy there. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that her room is a little on the small side. Communication from the home is very good and I am informed of any change in my mum's health etc., I feel overall that mum is in safe hands and that takes a lot of worry off of my shoulders.
Staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful. They keep us informed of any problems, or if Mum needs anything. Mum is happy, healthy and enjoys the meals and is well cared for.
Our mum seems to have settled into Buckland Court really well since she was admitted in June. Her mood and general well-being have been transformed now that she has full care, healthy meals and companionship. She participates in activities, feels safe and is looked after. We couldn't be happier with her progress.
My brother-in-law became a resident around 3 years ago. He loves Buckland Court and the staff. He loves the staff, the care and the food.
My mother has been a resident for a little under a year. Her dementia has worsened since living in the home and consequently, she is cared for in the dementia unit. The staff are caring and considerate of her needs. Her room is adequate. I do worry about the lack of stimulation, however. Whilst the rest of the home was adorned with jubilee bunting, it did not extend to the dementia unit. That said, I am assured that things will be getting back to normal since covid. The recent jubilee lunch for residents and families, was well organised and good for all. We have yet to meet the care home manager. The member of staff, who is responsible for the admin at the home is always helpful and a joy to deal with.
Friendly and helpful.
The burden of guilt, putting Mum in a home, has been with me since January. I had no choice and she needs 24/7 care. Since Mum's move to Buckland Court in March, I have started to come to terms with the situation. Most importantly, Mum is having the care that she deserves. The staff are amazing! The home is clean, bright and welcoming and as soon as you walk through the door, Mum is mostly happy, loved, protected and has company and stimulation. I am so grateful for the quality time we now spend together.
My mother has been there for three months. The staff are very good on help and advice. Communication is very good. My mother appears happy and looked after. For the money involved, would have liked ensuite and access to the garden, otherwise happy.
The staff are very caring to my brother and keep me informed. My brother is very happy at Buckland Court and likes the staff. The home is clean and welcoming whenever we visit. There is awareness of needs and flexibility.
Very helpful and friendly. Looking incredibly well after the clients.
Fantastic team who genuinely cared about my mother during the last few weeks of her life. Nothing was too much trouble. Communication was excellent. A truly professional service by lovely people. I can't recommend them highly enough.
