My father was made to feel very welcome in this friendly and well-run care home. The staff are marvelous, the facilities clean and bright and the garden brings the outside inside. I feel very fortunate to be able to make this my father's final home.

We had a warm welcome on arrival. Gran was spoken to and treated with respect. Great office stay, always speak to you, and are personable.

Overall experience was very good. All staff showed a caring attitude and willingness to help both patients and visitors. All the residents appeared happy and content.

The staff are exceptionally caring, kind, and helpful, both to my Mother and my Brother and I. The manager and clinical manager are always supportive and willing to listen to any concerns or queries and will always try to sort out anything we raise promptly. We are very happy that our Mother is so well settled and cared for.

My mum received excellent end-of-life care at Somerhill Care Home. She was in the gentle hands of the nursing and caring staff who were kind, attentive and professional at all times. The manager was very welcoming, easy to communicate with and genuinely caring. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. The setting and grounds are stunning. Thank you to the Somerhill Care Home team for the compassionate and professional care you provided for my mum.

My father was in Somerhill, little Somerford for just over 3 weeks at the end of his life. The care he was given by everybody from the laundry ladies, nurses, care staff and the manager was superb. It made the situation so much easier for me to deal with. The staff were so very kind when he passed away so quickly and I will always remember and be so thankful for every moment of his time spent in the care of Somerhill. Many thanks to you all the wonderful staff.

My aunt is looked after by absolutely lovely caring staff who are always amazingly kind and patient. The atmosphere in the home is lovely and welcoming. When my aunt arrived she was underweight and stressed and anxious and in the months since she has been with you she has really blossomed and seems so much better. I am so grateful. You really all do a brilliant job! Thank you.

My brother was very well cared for during his end-of-life care. The senior staff were all friendly, helpful and respectful towards my brother and the rest of the family. I was kept notified all through the last weeks of his life. The nurses and support staff were all very kind and preserved my brother's dignity all through his time at Somerhill. The room was excellent, ensuite, modern, well-maintained and spotlessly clean.

My mother has been a resident at Somerhill since September 2023. The experience has been brilliant. The staff have always been cheerful, smiling and always looking out for Mum. Most of my mum's children live in the United States so knowing that she has such a great team that cares for her is very reassuring. My mum has the great privilege of having siblings and friends visiting frequently and all are welcomed by the Somerhill staff. The grounds are wonderful and Mum loves being out there and playing with her dog when she visits. Thank you for the care you deliver.

My father has been at Somerhill for the past ten months and the care, love and compassion that he has been shown has been second to none. The staff always try to make my dad laugh and it is apparent that his happiness is of the upmost priority to all that care for him. The peace of mind that I get from Dad being there is immeasurable.

The end-of-life care given to my Mum and the support shown to our family, by all at Somerhill, was in every respect, excellent. At a devastating time, the manager and the team of carers, nurses and domestic staff were always kind, thoughtful, professional and genuinely caring. We were made to feel so welcome and Mum was treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Thank you.

Overall experience was good. The staff were friendly, helpful and caring, however, training or new/inexperienced staff could be improved. More attention to dietary requirements and preferences would have helped.

I attended the Summer Garden Party with my father. Despite the rain making frequent appearances, the manager and her staff worked so hard to ensure all the residents had an enjoyable and memorable day. The manager's ‘leaf dance’ will certainly be remembered by residents and staff alike! The care staff were, as usual, very attentive and thoughtful. Thank you to all staff for your hard work.

My father resided at Somerhill Care Home for five months before he passed. He received the highest level of care, compassion and love from all of the staff. My father suffered with dementia and at first, was very confused about where he was when arriving in the care home. The staff worked tirelessly to ensure my father felt safe and he believed he was back at home. We shared meals with him in the dinning room which we were able to book on a number of occasions. The grounds have recently undergone a major upgrade with accessible paths, lawn, flowers and seating areas. The home is a lovely place for a loved one.

Each time I visit, there is a lovely atmosphere. All staff are kind and caring with the residents. There is a happy atmosphere. It's well-maintained and clean. The resident I visit speaks very highly of the manager and the staff.

I very much appreciate the wonderful care that both my mum and dad have received at Somerhill. The carers have been like family to my mum, especially during her final days.
