View Full Details of Romney House LtdWe visited many care homes in the Bath and West Wiltshire area before finding Romney House, which stood out. Romney House has cared for both our mothers in their final years, even when their medical and care needs were significant. We are full of praise for all the staff and managers and are immensely grateful to them for the thoughtful care they have consistently provided. There is a homely atmosphere, full of laughter. Meals are very good. Varied entertainment and activities are provided, and visiting relatives feel most welcome.
Lovely home, lovely staff.
Always friendly, warm and welcoming. Always having activities and parties for birthdays, garden parties and Christmas. Could do with more staff sometimes.
My mother has been well cared for the last 6 years. All aspects of nursing care provided, both physical and mental. Activities are excellent and provided most days eg musical movement, quizzes, bingo. Food is plentiful and a wide variation of menu. Staff - management and carers are excellent. My mother says, "It's not like home, but it's the next best thing." Can't get a better recommendation than that! Summing up - living quite a distance from the home, I have peace of mind that my mother is well cared for.
Lovely sitting room. Residents all look comfortable and content. Friendly staff.
My husband has been cared for well and has had necessary test and treatment arranged, such as dental checks, eye test, hearing tests etc... Plus visits from the doctor. He has fallen several times but family have been informed and he has been to A&E when needed.
Romney House is a home from home. Whether you are a resident or a visitor, you are always made welcome and encouraged to be involved in the activities and events. The staff, on the whole, are considerate and caring and are always prepared to listen regarding any issues that may arise. Food is varied and a choice is offered and well cooked. The only criticism we have found - on several occasions, the front door entry bell has not been heard and visitors and returning residents are left in the cold and rain long before the door is answered.
Kind caring staff, always clean and smelling nice in the rooms.
My mother at this family run home, has received the best care available. All the staff are very kind, and helpful to all the residents. Relatives and friends are well received. Activities are good for her mental wellbeing, and the food is plentiful and nourishing. Birthdays are made special, also Christmas fetes and raffles held throughout the year for the benefit of residents (relatives invited). Summed up by my mother 'quote' "I loved my home, but Romney house is the next best thing!"
The home is always clean and never smells, it's more like a guest house. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The residents are always having activity events. Twice a year the home have open days for family and friends to attend like a garden party and afternoon tea. All meals are home prepared and they have a choice. The garden is lovely and had lots of seats for them to sit on. I would highly recommend this home as it's like a home from home.
