View Full Details of Ashbury LodgeMy father has recently become a permanent resident at Ashbury Lodge and we were made very welcome by the staff and management. The staff are extremely caring and compassionate and work very hard to support each resident. My father is well cared for in a safe homely environment.
My mum was in Ashbury Lodge for three years until she passed away. Their care was excellent. She was always clean and never had any pressure areas. They were with her when she died, and I had the sense they really cared about her.
My mother was in Ashbury Lodge for 2 years and 5 months and she was treated with so much love, care, support and dignity. I personally couldn't have wished for her to have been anywhere else, she felt so safe, and I know she enjoyed being there all that time your staff were all so kind and caring towards her and also so friendly and supportive to me. Thank you all so much. Highly recommended.
My mum is a resident at this beautiful care home. Mum is extremely well cared for all her needs are catered for. Mum loves the activities they do there, they are amazing at keeping everyone stimulated and entertained. The food is great always a good choice for each meal and snacks in between. The staff are absolutely amazing, very caring and dedicated (in my opinion deserve more wages than they get) not that they have told me how but I know from experience what wages are like! They all work extremely hard and when visiting my mum have witnessed this! I would not hesitate to recommend Ashbury Lodge as a top-class care home, so glad we chose this home for my mum she absolutely loves it there 100%. Keep doing what you are doing Ashbury Lodge.
I found the home a high standard of cleanliness and the staff welcoming and helpful. I can't thank you enough for the way you look after my husband.
Mum has been here nearly 5 years and she has been happy. The home is always clean and warm and the staff are amazing, nothing is too much trouble.
Very happy with my grandmother's care. The staff are amazing. The care they provide is amazing. We are always kept informed of what is happening and with any issues that may arise.
I have always found Ashbury Lodge to be extremely accommodating. The staff are attentive and caring and the food provided is home-cooked with a varied menu. The home itself could benefit from modernising as some areas look a little tired but I can’t fault the staff who are always upbeat and friendly whilst dealing with challenging residents.
Mum moved to Ashbury Lodge for respite care after hospitalisation. This period of respite care has been increased in length, and she is now likely to need ongoing care. In a time where the NHS/State response seems to be completely inadequate in their diagnosis and support of dementia, Ashbury Lodge has been incredible in how they have supported Mum while she finds out how to adapt to her new needs. In my opinion, their standard of care is as good as it can be. All management and team members are doing everything they can, and I do not believe a better care system could be provided. The attitude of the entire organisation is one of compassion, and they demonstrate a goal of providing the best possible standard of dignity, comfort and safety for their residents, in every way they can, and they seem to be constantly looking to improve. There have been areas where we have provided feedback, and Ashbury Lodge has responded immediately with direct action. I would highly recommend them.
My mum has been at Ashbury Lodge for about ten weeks now, and she has settled in very well. The staff are lovely, and can see when I visit how well they care for the residents.
Mum moved in to Ashbury Lodge in June this year following a terrible period of self-neglect, confusion and agitation due to her worsening Alzheimer’s. She was scared and lost, whilst fighting to remain in independent living, however since she has been at Ashbury, this has changed so much. Mum is happy and settled now and can often be found chatting to other residents. She also has a great rapport with staff at Ashbury and it is lovely to see her laughing with them. Her diet, which had reduced to a really unhealthy amount and variety, has expanded - she is eating well and choosing well. Her physical appearance is a testament to that. Any ailments are treated as they come up and we are kept advised with what has been done. I would not have believed this time last year that Mum could be so happy again whilst living with this terrible illness and I can truly say that the environment and the staff at Ashbury Lodge have performed miracles!
Mum had a great time with you. It was really nice knowing mum was in safe hands. The team at Ashbury Lodge are very friendly, helpful and caring. A big thank you to you all for looking after my mummy. Thank you
Mum has been at Ashbury Lodge since November 2021, she settled in well and has a lovely room. All the staff are welcoming and very supportive with all mum's needs which have increased over the past few months. The home is inviting, there are lots of activities for the residents to join in with and it’s nice to see what goes on as they post this on their Facebook page.
My mother-in-law has been a resident of Ashbury Lodge for just over two years now. Due to Covid, it was never intended to be her permanent placement but they made her feel so welcome and she settled so well, she asked to stay. My mother-in-law has formed lovely friendships with both fellow residents and the care team responsible for her care. As her dementia advances it is very apparent the level of trust and rapport she shares with her care team and quite simply we consider that to be priceless....their patience, kindness and empathy is endless and we are extremely grateful to them all. As other health issues creep in we are reassured she is closely monitored and receives medical attention if required. We have always been supported by all levels of staff at Ashbury Lodge through some very difficult and challenging times which we are very thankful for. As dementia takes my mother-in-law further away from us we cannot thank everyone enough at Ashbury Lodge who try to keep her smiling!
I have just become a volunteer befriender at this care home and currently visit every weekend to spend time with any residents who fancy a chat. I have found the home to be a very welcoming and friendly place to reside in. The residents I chat with all seem very happy and well cared for.
My Dad needed to go into Ashbury Lodge for some respite care and potentially full-time care. The Management team couldn't do enough to help facilitate what was a difficult situation and, once at Ashbury, my Dad was made to feel very comfortable and, he quickly regained his strength enabling him to be discharged home. Thank you Ashbury Lodge team for looking after my Dad and, responding so quickly to our requirement. I wouldn't hesitate recommending (and using if required), Ashbury Lodge in the future.
Both parents are at Ashbury Lodge. Mum has got her colour back in her face, so has Dad. The staff have been fantastic, especially the manager. She has helped us so much and helped Mum and Dad to settle in. Every time I go to visit the staff have been amazing. The things they do and say, and are very patient. They have made a sad time a lot easier.
I cannot praise Ashbury Lodge highly enough. The wonderful manager and her team have made one of the most challenging and difficult times in our lives bearable - not just for my mum, who is 94 and suffering from dementia, but also for me (her daughter) and our family. Despite working under the onerous pressure of Covid, they have proved themselves to be kind, caring, compassionate, and accommodating. I thank them with all my heart for their fortitude, empathy, and continued support. I particularly appreciate being able to log in to the relatives' portal to see how Mum is doing at any given time. All interactions with staff are logged and so I can clearly see they are doing an amazing job, which is hugely reassuring.
The staff take very good care of Dad, particularly during this very difficult time. They keep a close eye on him and always ring me with the solution if there is a problem. I can't visit but talk to Dad on Whatsapp weekly.
In the few months we were able to see my husband we found the staff very helpful and we were very pleased with the way he was looked after. When we had trouble upstairs they moved him downstairs where he seems to be settled and happy. We have done Facetime twice, the first time not so good but on Christmas Eve it was lovely. A couple of times I saw my old husband. Thank the staff for making him happy.
