View Full Details of Bloomsbury HouseMum arrived at Bloomsbury House 3 months ago malnourished and in a poor state of mental health. Mum has been so welcomed and well cared for that she is now eating properly, thriving and very happy to be there. Mum loves the food and is given a choice about what she eats and her daily routine. We have no concerns for her safety or well-being. The manager and her team are so caring, we are extremely grateful to them all.
My mum has been taken excellent care of by all the staff at the home (and yes, it is a home atmosphere filled with genuine care, love and support!) We cannot fault anything, we all visit different times of days, always made to feel welcome and part of the family. None of us have seen or heard anything to cause concern in any way, unlike some homes we viewed prior to Mum's move. Everything is dealt with professionally, any health concerns and they act immediately, calling medical assistance. We all feel that without the individual help given to her at all times, she would not still be with us otherwise!
I recently spent two weeks in respite. The staff were all excellent. the only thing I was dissatisfied with was the food. I was impressed with the way most days the residents were kept engaged with appropriate activities.
I recently worked at Bloomsbury House and I thoroughly loved it. The residents are wonderful and the staff I worked alongside with, were great and worked to high standards. The activities lady was brilliant with them and they joined in with everything as she made it fun for all and truly spoilt them. The management were lovely, especially to myself as I was going through personal family health problems. The food was delicious and home made. I would recommend any families to enquire about the home if looking on behalf of a loved one.
My fiercely independent 96-year-old mother move into Bloomsbury House after much persuasion and I feared for how she would adapt, but my fears were unfounded. My mother liked her airy and light single en-suite room, the high quality and substantial meals and the busy, everyday environment. However, what she really enjoyed was her interactions with the staff, who made her feel both valued and welcome. Unfortunately, after only three weeks my mother suffered a cardiac arrest and whilst the staff acted swiftly and appropriately, she died later the same day. My mother was happy and relaxed at Bloomsbury House.
