View Full Details of Bryony HouseI have always found the staff helpful and welcoming. When I visit, they have always made the person I visit available. They have always answered questions and kept me informed when I visit regarding my friend's situation. I have not visited when activities are being undertaken but have been welcomed into some entertainments. The residents have certainly enjoyed the entertainments. I would recommend the home to others.
The staff at Bryony House are fantastic - kind and caring. They do everything they can for the residents to make them feel at home. They went above and beyond to get my mum to eat when she had not been eating before she went to live there. My mum could not be better cared for anywhere else. When I see her she tells me how lovely all the staff are and how she likes living at Bryony House. I don't worry about her all the time anymore because I know she is being well looked after.
Bryony House is located in a quiet residential area with easy access and welcoming reception. Security, security and communication with residents' families is good. It offers a wide range of activities which relatives can tailor to the residents' needs. My father is looked after well, food options are excellent to suit his dietary needs. Above all, he is happy which is important to all our family.
My mother has lived at Bryony House for two years. She has a lovely garden, ground-level room which is always clean and tidy. She is very well cared for and the staff are always happy to help. My mother isn't always the most patient person but the staff will always give her their time. The food is very good and the activities and events organised are great for the residents. I used to visit this home in a professional capacity so had no doubt that when my mother needed care this was the place!
Dad has been at Bryony House for nearly 2 years. There have been a couple of accidents but sorted out promptly and with care. He loves the activities especially when have a singer and music.
Very caring staff who are always friendly and approachable. My mother has been at Bryony House for nearly ten years and thinks of Bryony House as her home. She is always complimentary about the food and looks forward to the many assisted activities that are offered.

Visited my mother who is very well cared for and happy. Staff were very helpful and accommodating as usual, not to mention friendly as well.
It was my mother-in-law's 94th birthday and a beautiful day. The staff were extremely helpful in supporting us to take her out into the gardens. A wheelchair was provided and a tray of tea (teapot, milk jugs, napkins etc.) brought down to us. It made the day special and enriched the birthday for all concerned.
Mum has been at Bryony House for a fair few years now and I am welcome to see her at any time. When entering the home it smells lovely and whoever you come across will be friendly and helpful. Her room is kept clean and tidy, enjoyable food and mid-morning tea, afternoon tea and cake. Entertainment is there if you want to join in.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful at sign-in. My aunt was comfortable and happy in her room. Her birthday being acknowledged by everyone gave her pleasure. Our request to take her into the garden for tea and the cake my cousin had brought was enthusiastically received and the whole operation smoothly facilitated. A well-presented tea tray was brought out and my aunt chatted about memories and contributed to general conversation happily. The whole visit was very successful and a memorable family occasion.
After being here for nearly three years, we are still more than happy that my husband is having the best care and he is happy. On the odd occasion we've had a query, it has been dealt with promptly.
My mother has lived at Bryony House for nearly three years, it's lovely, the staff are friendly and very helpful to residents' needs. They have a new activities coordinator that keeps the residents busy from 10 am until 3 pm most days, they also go out on day trips, this is fantastic as I feel my mother benefits from joining in the activities and days out. The food is lovely and all home-cooked, Mom enjoys the tea and cake every day at 3 pm and to be honest, so do I. There is a family BBQ with activities and a singer every year, this is great as you get to see your loved ones having fun. They also have several singers coming in throughout the year which the residents all enjoy and have a dance to. There are days when small therapy ponies come for a visit and other little animals, very therapeutic for residents. The garden is beautiful. Overall, this home is excellent and it would take a lot to beat it, my mom is very settled and happy here.
My brother has been at Bryony House since Sept 2019. He is very contented with the way he is looked after and that as a vegetarian they have gone out of their way to meet his needs. As a visitor, I have always found the home to be clean and tidy and the staff most helpful, though as with most homes, they work very hard, because of staff shortages. This is a well-run home with activities for the residents to do throughout the week and has a cheery atmosphere. My brother loves the outdoors and takes full advantage of Bryony's beautiful and extensive garden, weather permitting. During Covid, we were able to talk with him over video calls, as the home was in lockdown and all residents were kept Covid-free. It is good to know that my brother is in a good and pleasant place, run by kind and caring staff.
I helped an old friend move into Bryony House, some nine years ago. Right from day one, he has received the very best of care. He is kept very clean at all times, nicely dressed and has more than enough of the well-cooked and well-presented food. Whilst he is not always ready to join in with all of the activities, the staff always make sure that he is comfortable. His room is always clean and tidy and the staff are always on hand if he needs them. The management and staff are always very welcoming and keep me informed of any relevant details. My friend, who is in his 90's, could not be in better hands and I would recommend this home to anyone.
