View Full Details of Greville HouseWhat an amazing care home, from the moment we walked into the home we felt everyone made us welcome. My mother was scooped up and taken care of. We felt the same, we were so reassured that everything would be all right and staff were going to take care of my mother's needs, they were true to their word. Every visit we make reaffirmed we have made the right decision and feel so blessed to have found a real gem in the rough. We had looked at a few homes but this one felt just right. We are delighted with all the support and care given. The activities are brilliant and can't fault anything. Keep it up.
I was so glad I found Greville House when I needed care for Dad. Dad was very independent before he had a fall in March 2024 leaving him needing respite 24-hour care. I looked at many care homes but Greville House had the right feel being homely and not too big. My meeting with the manager put my mind at ease and left me confident Dad's needs would be met. During Dad's stay at times it was difficult as he really did not accept being in a care home setting, but realised he needed 24-hour care, especially help in the night. Dad got to know all the staff who have been so kind and caring, treating him with respect and dignity and doing their utmost for him. I do not believe Dad would have been in the position to have gone home without Greville House's care as his health conditions have improved. I am grateful to them for helping me work out a safe transfer home for Dad with a door open if it did not work. We know who to contact if residential care is needed again!
Greville House has a wonderful team of kind and thoughtful carers. My dad is slightly younger than most residents as he had early onset dementia and they are making so much effort to ensure he lives a happy and fulfilled life. He is able to continue doing his gardening and has lots of wonderful chats with the staff about his past. The environment feels very much like a home, not a care home and I am so grateful to all of the lovely people that work there for persevering and helping me sort out the care we need for him. From my perspective, Greville House is just the right size, to feel safe and comforting. There are lots of bigger care homes and for me, bigger locations can mean less meaningful interactions and relationships as you see more people and less of the same familiar faces. So all in all great work Greville House team keep doing what you are doing, I can't thank you enough.
Mum has been living at Greville House for just short of a year now. In that time the carers have got to know Mum very well and seem genuinely fond of her. As Mum's health continues to deteriorate they are going out of their way to ensure her comfort, including cooking suitable meals to encourage her to eat. The residents really respond well to the staff and I've been present when they thank and praise their hard work. The visiting District Nurse team also recognise what a superb residential home this is and has commented on how impressed they are with the level of support offered here. It is the most distressing time once you've made the decision to place a loved one in a care home, the management team recognise this and offers support every step of the way. Thank you to all those who clean Mum's room and help keep her plants alive, those who cook individual meals for her, care and sing with her and continue to keep her best interests at heart.
My mother has been a Greville House Care Home for 3 years now. In all that time she has been treated with care, compassion and dignity. No family wants their loved one to have to go into a home but the standard of care that my mother has received at Greville has eased our worry's. I am kept informed at all times how Mum is when she has been unwell. Our family cannot thank all the staff enough For their continued care and support.
Greville House has been an absolute blessing for my mom. After a nervous transition, the staff's warmth and care made her feel instantly at home. They've been incredibly supportive in managing her health needs and keeping me informed. The home offers a variety of activities, from quizzes and entertainment to gentle exercise, ensuring residents stay engaged and stimulated. As a pescatarian, my mom has enjoyed a delicious and varied menu. Greville House truly feels like a home away from home. My mom's happiness and well-being have improved significantly since she moved in. I'm so grateful for the exceptional care she's receiving.
My Mum has had a few stays in the hospital and after each return to the home, she has been looked after and cared for so well. The staff, management, and team are amazing. Also, the care and treatment we as a family have had has been amazing. Greville House is a wonderful care home and we are so pleased we found this home. Thank you.
I looked for an emergency placement for my aunt after a fall at home and hospital stay, this home is absolutely gorgeous and the staff are all lovely and welcoming, I felt at home immediately and knew my aunt would be happy and well cared for so had no hesitation in leaving her in there very capable hands and she is settling well. And I am so relieved that she is cared for so well. I actually love coming to visit her now and the worry and stress is now diminishing.

My mum came to the residential home in October 2023. The home is well run and the staff are excellent. My mum has been treated very well and feels safe there. Every member of staff is kind and ensures that my mum's needs are met.
I have found the support, understanding and empathy in the care of my loved one has been most welcome on all occasions. The level of personal care is what I would expect for myself if I were a resident, the staff are attentive and focused even when under challenging circumstances. Thank you for the care so far given.
Sadly mother was only there for two weeks. All the personal reviews were good and we were pleased that a place for mother was found. Mother settled in during her short stay, the home was well-run and certainly fulfilled our expectations. It is very sad that mother passed away before she could reap the benefits that her stay, I'm sure, would have provided.
My mother was a resident at Greville House from May 2022 till October 2023. All the time she was there she was treated with care and dignity and was very settled. As a family, we could not have asked for anything better for Mom and we always felt welcome by all the staff when we visited. Communication between the Management and ourselves regarding Mom's health was first class.
Placing Mum at Greville House has been a wholly positive experience from the outset. Having lived alone until 97 years of age, the decision to go into residential care was not easy. The staff at Greville House have been efficient, friendly, welcoming and reassuring, from management to carers. They have ensured the transition has been a pleasant and trouble-free process, treating us as if we were family, which I suppose in a way we now are.
Greville House has proved to be an oasis of calm in a difficult period in our lives. The surroundings are comfortable and the staff are cheerful and friendly. The management are great at supporting and arranging hospital appointments and keeping the family informed on everything to do with Mum. Overall, we are very happy with the home and the staff.
Mum has Alzheimer's dementia and went to Greville House as respite when we had to leave the country for a couple of weeks. We were nervous and she was nervous, but everyone is so welcoming and genuinely caring. The management couldn't do enough for Mum and she (although naturally anxious and frightened due to her condition) seemed to make friends. In the end, she stayed for an extra week and began to settle. We are currently making arrangements for her to stay for another period, with a view to 24-hour care.
Greville House is a caring home. The staff are also caring about their clients. The home is always clean and the person we visit is always happy and talks well of the staff. The home's food always smells good when being cooked.
