View Full Details of Madeleine HouseStaff are overwhelmingly friendly and helpful. Concerns are acted upon. Being able to eat with my mother is a huge bonus, it's what we would do in her own home, this makes Madeleine House feel more like her 'new' home, which of course it is.
My mom is a current resident of this care home. My sister and I and my Mom's long-term partner are very happy with the care that Mom is receiving here. It is a lovely, really well-thought-out environment, specialising in dementia care. The staff are all friendly, helpful and cheerful. You can feel the atmosphere of the place when you walk in the door. The decor is stimulating and well thought out and the facilities are excellent. My mom's room is comfortable, warm, clean and a 'blank canvas' to add personal touches to. We have experienced the management team as professional and compassionate and they actively encourage dialogue and feedback. Having had a previous negative experience at another care home, we are really happy that our mom is living out the rest of her days here. I'd be happy to live here when my time comes!
Madeleine House rocks! Our mom is a resident and the way they look after her is wonderful. She feels part of a bigger family now and it means we can relax knowing she is cared for so well. Nothing is too much trouble. We feel so lucky to have found such a good care home for our mom. Bravo Madeleine House!
Carers are exactly that, caring. My sister being disturbed when she originally came, is now pleased with her situation. Contact with the home is very easy and any concerns are dealt with.
We were met by friendly and caring staff. They took us to our friend who they helped to a seat where we could catch up with him. Everywhere looked spotlessly clean as did our friend. He seemed relaxed and happy. It was a lovely visit and put our minds at rest. Already looking forward to our next visit.
What a day and what a visit. It goes beyond being scanned or emailed. I cannot speak highly enough of the visit to see my friend. The staff from cleaners, caterers, carers and management showed so much care, dedication and devotion. This home in this day and age where we have aa 'don't care attitude'. Should be held up as a beacon of how it should be run correctly, a wonderful place. Many thanks.
A very friendly and safe environment. Carers are very attentive to residents' needs and health issues. Lots of activities to entertain residents. Overall, a very pleasant home to visit. Leave with confidence that mom is getting the very best care.
My mom has been at Madeleine House since March. She has settled well. This is due to the excellent care she is receiving from all the lovely staff. Cups of tea and biscuits are plenty, which makes Mom very happy. Only qualm we have is there could be a bit more entertainment.
Overall care and support have been excellent with good communication with updates from staff on a regular basis. Accommodation is always clean and support is provided on a regular basis. Food and facilities are good and regular activities are provided and residents are encouraged to join in.
I am overall happy with the care my mother receives at Madeleine House, if I have any concerns or issues then I am able to speak to staff and manage to quickly address it in a timely fashion. There is an ongoing matter of my mother's favourite mug going missing from time to time and I understand that it may end up in someone else's room, but this mug means a lot to her as she enjoys drinking from it as it's a bigger size mug compared to the ones in the home. I would like it to be replaced now.
My husband spent almost a year at this care home and was very happy and was looked after very well. The staff and carers were very friendly and kind. Thanks to all who cared for him until he passed a few weeks ago.
I cannot rate this home enough. They go above and beyond. They genuinely care for the residents and it was definitely the best decision I made for my Mom sending her here. I don't have to worry that she's not being cared for or that she's not safe because they couldn't look after her any better. She has lovely meals, her room and the whole of the home is spotless and all the care workers are amazing with her. They have lots of entertainment/things to do for them, the garden is kept immaculate too. It is lovely to see the residents sitting outside, enjoying themselves. Mom loves the home and that's the most important thing to me.
A lovely care home with helpful, kind and attentive staff. Couldn't have hoped for anything better.
The staff have been very attentive to my uncle and are very helpful. The facilities are fantastic and everywhere is very clean. I can fully recommend Madeline House to any new resident.
I visit my mother every week and the staff are always very welcoming and friendly, they always come over and speak to me and keep me informed on any issues with my mother. My mother seems very happy and settled, she enjoys the food and the staff are always very good with her. Overall I would say it is a lovely home with a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
They are very friendly with a good atmosphere. My Mom was welcomed and put at ease straight away. They look after all her medical issues and medication. They involve us with everything they do. The staff make us feel welcome. My Mom is very happy there and I am satisfied with the way she is looked after.
The staff do an amazing job and are very helpful with anything we need, very good communication and updates on how Dad is doing. Overall a happy and beautiful home with some lovely residents and staff very attentive to each and everyone in there, like a little family.
Since my dad has been here he has been looked after very well, he is always clean and tidy and eats well.
My uncle was admitted to Madeleine House last year, and although, the time spent there was only about five months, he really enjoyed it. The staff were always willing to help out and my uncle was very well looked after. We received regular emails about events and photos of him taking part. I would recommend Madeleine House to everyone looking for their loved one to live in.
Mom spent the last three and a half years of her life at Madeleine house, and at all times she was treated with care and compassion. There is a lot of love and laughter there and we were very thankful when we found it as Mom had previously been in another bigger home and struggled to make connections because of her loss of language, but the staff at Madeleine House got to know Mom quickly and soon understood and provided for her needs. There is always plenty for the residents to do and a safe sheltered garden where Mom enjoyed walking and sitting. The staff are friendly and approachable and communication by phone and email was regular and prompt. As a family, we were always welcomed and felt comfortable there.
