View Full Details of Austin Rose Care HomeMy Mum is currently staying at Austin Rose as a respite care resident, after a fall. She has received fabulous care during her stay. Her carers are kind and considerate and try very hard to make her happy. She has made friends and is starting to join in with some of the activities. I would not hesitate to recommend Austin Rose to anyone looking for a care home for a family member or friend. All of the staff are so helpful and thoughtful.
My wife and I visited Austin Rose Care Home on February 18th when we were looking for a nursing home for my sister. At the time she was in Harborne ward at the QE Hosp. and was due to be discharged within a few days as her previous care home could not meet her ongoing care needs. Austin Rose C.H. had been recommended to us by a Senior District Nurse who was a friend of one of my daughters. We were shown round on the 18th by a lady who answered all our questions and my sister subsequently moved in on the 24th
My mom was moved into Austin Rose when it became clear that after four years, we could no longer care for her at home. Having had previous good experience with Meadow Rose and knowing that Austin Rose has specialist dementia facilities, we decided Mom would be comfortable here. Right from our initial meeting with the staff and then from Mom's move, it is clear we have made the right choice. She has settled well, is now far more active than she has been in months, and enjoying life again. Thank you to all at Austin Rose.
My mom has recently moved into Austin Rose. From day one the staff there have been so supportive and kind to Mom and us, her family. The care mom is receiving is amazing and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The food is really good and mom's room is lovely and comfy and she has all of her things from home in there. We cannot fault the home or the staff in any way and are so grateful to them.
My nan has recently moved into Austin Rose. I cannot rate this home highly enough, the staff are absolutely amazing from the nurses, to the cleaners, to the activities team and all the maintenance team. They have all made my nan and all the family welcome. She is joining in with activities that are going on, to which there are so many on a daily basis. A special mention to the Relations manager, who is outstanding at what she does and has gone above and beyond for my nan and all the family. The home is beautifully presented and absolutely spotlessly clean. The food menu that is on display is a fantastic mixture of variety and we hear it tastes good as well! We can all sleep at night now knowing that Nan is not only safe but is having the time of her life!
Mom arrived at Austin Rose on Friday 24 January 2025, to such a warm and friendly welcome, we particularly want to thank the relations manager and all the staff for making sure Mom settled in well, thank you all for keeping us informed and putting our minds at rest.
Following an extended period in hospital, it became obvious that as a family we would not be able to manage the needs of my uncle following his discharge. With this in mind, we set about searching for an appropriate care facility for my uncle who as well as general old age issues suffers from Vascular Dementia. Based upon several glowing recommendations, we shortlisted the Austin Rose Care Home as a new home for my uncle. From my initial contact with Austin Rose through to every point of interaction, I could not find any cause for concern. I had no doubts whatsoever that all of the staff at Austin Rose were committed to providing the very best home as well as experience for those in their care, including relatives of their patients. All of the colleagues at Austin Rose made our experience as excellent as it was, however, it was obvious that the care home's way of working was being driven by their organisation. Our contact was everything that anyone could wish for. Thank you.
Everyone has been very supportive and understanding after the loss of our mother. My brother is a current resident. The staff are very friendly and take time to get to know the residents by chatting with them. They always try to encourage residents to participate in activities and engage with others.
My 95-year-old dad has been in Austin Rose Home since 2019, and it is due to their care and attention that he is able to remain a mentally fit, happy and alert resident. The care and nursing staff look after him and seem fond of him and he certainly is of them. He loves the musical entertainers that come into the home and is looking forward to the full range of events on offer in the run-up to Christmas. I visit weekly but am confident that staff keep me informed of any events or changes of medications etc. So If I am away I can relax knowing I will be kept informed if necessary. The home is beautifully decorated and furnished and always looks sparkling and clean and always looks gorgeous when decorated for events. Looking forward to the Christmas Market next Saturday!
Excellent help and support from a very friendly team at this challenging transition for mum. The staff have been exceptionally kind, supportive and caring both before mum arrived and during her time settling in. The access to an on-site Nurse and local GP has been outstanding. All staff from reception, care teams, cook and the handy man have been excellent.
My sister moved into Austin Rose in March 2024, after being at another home for six months which was not suitable for her needs and she became very withdrawn and difficult. Since being at Austin Rose she has become much calmer and more settled. She is mostly bed-bound but the staff are trying to get her accustomed to spending time in the lounge and mixing with other residents. The staff are friendly and supportive towards her and treat her with respect and understanding at all times. Austin Rose reception area is welcoming and is always decorated for the appropriate season or celebration and is often used for residents and family entertainment. I would recommend Austin Rose Care Home to anyone looking for excellent care for a loved one.
Mum moved to Austin Rose earlier this year. It's made a huge difference to her quality of life. She is very well cared for both medically and socially and this is visibly apparent. Austin Rose has a nurse on each floor. This means that Mum has appropriate and timely care when required, which has dramatically reduced drawn-out hospital admissions. The nursing staff monitor Mum's daily condition and liaise with any concerns. Mum goes to activities and concerts and has made friends. She feels safe at Austin Rose. There are both seasonal and creative activities and residents are encouraged to attend and participate. The kindness and consideration shown by both the nursing, caring and administrative staff is outstanding. Staff are polite, helpful and resident-focused. They are very supportive towards families. It's a huge relief to see Mum so well cared for. The home is spotlessly clean, tidy and well-appointed. A visit is recommended.
My mother moved into Austin Rose originally for some respite care in September, to the present day. She has been so well cared for that she has decided to stay permanently. Her health has improved and she has put weight on, due to the good food and is much brighter. The excellent team at Austin Rose have given her back her dignity. She is loving the daily activities, especially a trip to the nature centre yesterday. Myself and my family are extremely grateful to the whole team at Austin Rose as our lives have also improved and returned to some normality. Please keep up the good work. It is much appreciated.
My Mother had a terrible experience in hospital and wanted to give up. She needed 24-hour care. The change in her in the last 6 weeks of her life was remarkable. She was showered, had her hair done, and her nails painted, and opticians, and a chiropodist. Although she was in a wheelchair, joined in and enjoyed some of the activities and had company. She had a lovely room she made her own. With her own personal bits. Lovely meals, she was treated with dignity and care second to none, even though we were made to feel so welcome. It was like leaving an extended family, we'll miss them.
I have never felt so reassured or happy since Dad was welcomed to Austin Rose last January. Everyone is so kind and caring. They give Dad dignity care and respect. They will laugh along with him and I am always greeted with a warmth whenever I pop through the door. Dad feels safe. He eats great food and has the very best care you could ever wish for. Thank you to all the team at Austin Rose. You are brilliant.
The staff at Austin Rose have been outstanding with their help and support to enable my mom to move into the home and although very short stay, they were absolutely golden when she passed.
A huge thank you to everyone that looked after my dad in his short time at Austin Rose. He was treated with great dignity and respect. The support, care and compassion shown to us as a family was outstanding. Myself, my brothers and our family were able to be with Dad 24/7 in his final days. Your staff looked after us and it was much appreciated. As my dad would say... "First class!"
I would just like to say a big thank you to all the carers who looked after my dad. I have never witnessed such a lovely load of people who would do anything for you, didn't matter what time of day or night. They didn't just look after our dad they looked after us with food and drinks it was unbelievable. To you people at the top need to recognise the little lady who I can't name, she is a legend. She keeps them all in check amazing lady.
As my late dad would say, first class everything you would want and need at a terrible time, the full team of carers and nurses were fantastic, not only to my dad but to me and my brother and sister. They all looked after us as well. I cannot rate the service they have provided to us highly enough. We as a family are so grateful that Dad spent his last 10 days of his life in such a wonderful place as Austin Rose. Many many thanks to all the team.
As a regular visitor (about once a week) I have found Austin Rose to be a very good facility. Staff are friendly and helpful and my friend who's staying there is well looked after. Food and room seem very good and he feels he is well looked after as well. I enjoy my visits and speak to the staff and have a good rapport with them.
