View Full Details of St Andrew's HouseOur mum spent the last two years of her life at St Andrew's and she was very happy there. The staff are all very caring and make the residents feel loved and respected. There is a real sense of looking after the individual's needs and making it very homely. There is a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Mum enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden, all the activities that were arranged and the church services. The home is kept clean and the food is good. The residents are consulted about changes that they would like to see. Mum often used to say how kind the staff had been.
My father moved here in 2022. He initially had lots of health issues. The staff looked after him so well and would call the doctor or paramedics whenever needed. The home is beautifully decorated and maintained, and so is the garden. There is varied entertainment on most days and the entertainment lady is always very friendly and jovial. All the staff are so friendly and all stop and chat with residents. Dad's room is kept clean; it's ensuite with a view of the garden. I'm very happy that my dad lives in St Andrews, and I no longer have to worry about him.
I am really well looked after. Couldn't be in a better home.
I always find the staff very welcoming and kind. My mum loves it here, she said that nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
My mother has been a resident since September last year. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming when we visit the home. Her room is warm and comfortable and she is well looked after. There is a lovely garden which we enjoyed sitting in when the weather was warmer. The weekly church service is very much appreciated by the residents who attend it and there are a range of other activities available.
I feel my father is looked after and his needs are dealt with in a dignified manner.
When I visit the home, it is always clean, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The garden is well kept and pleasant to sit out with my father-in-law. I have enjoyed the events I have attended (summer fair with hog roast and fireworks display on bonfire night and Carol service). My father-in-law is very happy with the care he is given and enjoys the variety and quality of the meals provided. He is treated with dignity and respect.
My friend was received well by the care staff and he felt welcome. He enjoyed his stay over Christmas 2017 for respite so much that he missed the residents and staff when he got home. He constantly asks when he would be going back as he misses his 'friends' lovely staff and the activities. I cannot recommend this home enough and will be looking looking forward for the next respite.
