View Full Details of Arden ParkAfter a bad fall my Mum left hospital on a Discharge-to-Assess basis. We had no input to where she might be placed so I feel we were very lucky that Arden Park was home to Mum for 10 weeks. I struggled with the idea that Mum was in a specialist dementia care home as most of the residents were clearly much further down their dementia journey. But I needn't have worried as the care team were absolutely brilliant. Everyone was hardworking, compassionate and caring, not just in dealing with my Mum but also in providing reassurance to our family. There is a lovely atmosphere in the home and it feels calm and welcoming. The staff are attentive and formed a lovely relationship with my Mum. There was often laughter between the carers and Mum which really helped her to settle. I also must mention the food provided, what a great chef they have. Lovely meals and frequent tea and cake/biscuits throughout the day. Thank you to everyone at Arden Park for all you support and kindness.
On my first visit, I was very emotional but realised it was because a lot of the residents were visibly very poorly, time has shown how the staff are kind, caring and hard-working. I would like to thank all the staff who have looked after my sister so nicely, I also think the food and kitchen facilities are excellent.
I would like to see more done in the garden i.e. open it up to make it more accessible with some nice flower beds and seating etc. in different areas as I do think it is important for the residents to be able to walk outside into the fresh air.
Friendly caring staff and good homely facilities.
The staff is always pleasant, approachable, helpful and knowledgeable. Queries dealt with very quickly. In the short time my mother has been there I am very satisfied with the care she has received.
My mother came to Arden Park Care Home via hospital, initially for a six-week assessment period. I had resigned myself to having to struggle with her to remain in Arden Park as she is a fiercely independent lady who had continually said she wanted to go back to her own home. My brother and I were absolutely astounded when, at the end of the six weeks, she decided she didn’t want to leave Arden Park. I can put my hand on my heart and say I cannot fault the staff for the care and attention they give my mother and whilst visiting her I always see the “girls” chatting to all the other residents, simple conversation goes a long way! The food at mealtimes smells amazing and the menu is varied. The manager is lovely, there’s always a smile on her face and nothing is ever any trouble. Wonderful home that may not suit everyone but nor do all hotels, we are all different but this home suits my mother.
When my mum first came to this home in 2022 I found it welcoming and plenty of staff there to help. The rooms are lovely with plenty of light, they seemed to have activities for them to participate in if they wished to do so and if not it was fine. I have however found in the past six months or so seen it go downhill, hardly any staff about no activities whatsoever are in place, and staff don’t seem to listen to the residents about what they need or want. I have noticed a lot of the residents including my mum go downhill fast as there is nothing for them to do, they stick on the radio and telly even if they want it on or not and let them amuse themselves, it’s so sad to see as this was a lovely home and we were very happy. I hate seeing my mum like this and other residents. I do understand it’s a very hard job and a thankless job and they are all underpaid and overworked but this is still no excuse for the leaves of care and kindness.
Arden Park always has a very calm, family, friendly atmosphere. My mother has been warmly welcomed and enabled to settle into her new home very quickly. The staff are very courteous, consistently kind and very caring. They got to know my mum very quickly. Her holistic needs are verin met at a high standard. The staff are able to answer any of my questions due to their in-depth knowledge of my mother.
My mother has been in Arden Park since September 2022 and although not in good health, she has been extremely well cared for. All the staff are friendly and approachable and always have my mother's best interest at heart.
I visited Arden Park today and was very impressed with the staff in regard to safeguarding the residents from covid however I am disabled and find it hard to stand up for very long and in Arden Park, there is no room for a chair to sit down (awaiting the covid test result). I think the porch needs to be extended so people with a problem standing could sit down. That is the only moan. You can be very pleased with the people who work there.
Takes good care of our mum. The staff interact with the residents on a regular basis and all always friendly. Knowing the way they are gives us all peace of mind.
Excellent staff and facilities. The manager and carers are great and look after our mum and give 100 percent care. Thank you.
The manager and her team are very friendly. I am very pleased with the way they treat my sister and myself at all times. The home is very clean and the food is excellent. She is very well looked after.
My mother entered the home following hospital treatment. She was made to feel very welcome in the home and was treated with a great deal of kindness which was so important at a very anxious time for her. I also felt very confident form the start that she was in good and caring hands. My mother has now been in the home for 17 months and has been looked after really well during that time.
I have found most of the staff to be extremely friendly and caring. The atmosphere of the home is very welcoming and the menu is very varied. The manager is always willing to talk to me if any problems occur and I am always offered a drink if I want one. There are activities and entertainment.
We have been so happy with everything at Arden Park, very caring and informative. My mother in law was also here and received the same wonderful care and comfort until her death. I cannot fault it in any way!
My mum was in Arden Park for a number of years. She was always treated with respect and cared for by care staff and management who made her as happy as they could. Any health problems were dealt with without delay and I was always contacted if there were any issues. Her final days were made as good as was possible with loving care and consideration. I was always made welcome at any time and all staff were very kind and helpful to me. I couldn't have managed without them.
