View Full Details of Weavers Care HomeMum was a resident at this home and she received the best care we could hope for. The staff were always friendly and welcoming and she always felt safe- it became her home. The professionalism and knowledge of the carers, the range of equipment used to help them deliver that care and the efficient way they carried out their work was outstanding. This I am certain was down to the exceptional management of the home and nothing was ever too much trouble. They made Mum feel special, even when her needs became more complex. The enthusiasm shown from everyone, especially evident on open days was lovely to see and I would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.
My sister has been at the Weavers a few months now and it has taken away a lot of the worries we experiencing as a family. The care she has received is very good and all the staff are caring and patient and do all they can to help her.
Mum went into Weavers Care Home at the end of November 2024 after being in another home for 9 months. I was a little worried as Mum has dementia and I was concerned the move would upset her. The staff were very informative, helpful and extremely kind, explaining the care plan they had put in place for Mum. I called the home after 2 days and was reassured that Mum was not only fine and had settled well, but that she was sleeping through the night, something she hadn't done in the previous home, being a "night wanderer". I believe this is down to the interaction and stimulation offered in the home. The activities are excellent and it is so nice to see Mum taking part. She looks clean and tidy when I visit. I am very happy with the care she is being given and rest easy knowing she is well looked after and safe.
My wife has been a resident for 2 years with dementia. The expert care and love she receives is outstanding. This home is second to none and I have recommended it to several people. I am always greeted by staff warmly on every visit I make. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They run therapeutic sessions very regularly to enhance the well-being of residents which are welcomed by all. I am contacted immediately if there are any issues regarding my wife's health. I am so pleased I entrusted her to the Weavers Care Home.
They always celebrate residents' birthdays, a photograph of the person and birthday on the wall, and provide a birthday cake that is shared with all the residents. Entertainment is provided on a daily basis and weekly outings for those who are able. Whenever there is national event residents are involved in making decorations, e.g. poppies and Christmas decorations. The staff go to great lengths to ensure all national events are celebrated, e.g. Chinese New Year, all the staff wore something red and where possible so did residents and Chinese food for lunch. My sister has always been particular about her appearance, the staff recognise this and go to great lengths to ensure it is maintained. I have only ever witnessed patience and kindness shown to all residents even the most difficult and troubled ones. To me, the most important thing is that I know my sister is safe, happy and well looked after and that the care home will not hesitate to contact me should they need to.
Weavers have been caring for my father for over a year now and it stands out from other care homes by far. The staff are exceptional in providing a genuinely caring service and take the time to get to know individual residents in order to engage with them more effectively. They are also sensitive to cultural and dietary needs. Whenever I or other members of my family visit, we do not have to make an appointment and are always made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Although my father has severe dementia, he is able to convey that he is well looked after, which speaks volumes for Weavers. He is also a relatively fit and active person and I appreciate that he is taken out for walks, lunches and other interesting activities such as local museums. My family and I are so very grateful to the management and staff who look after my father in the most thoughtful, compassionate and professional way.
Dad has been at Weavers for over a year now - it was a hard decision for us to send him to a care home but the team at Weavers have made a fantastic home for him. He clearly sees it as his home, seems at ease there and is well looked after. He seems much happier and less frustrated than when he was living at home, which is a reflection of the care he receives and the activities that the team at Weavers put on to stimulate the residents. My family and I would definitely recommend the team at Weavers.
The staff and overall ownership and management are thoughtful and caring. The home is set up for the residents to be comfortable and happy. The activities and the other services that are available for the residents are varied and resident-focused. I can't imagine my mum being anywhere else.
The manager and her team are the most amazing dedicated respectful staff we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. As soon as we walked into Weavers, we knew we wanted our mum to be cared for there, the homely feel was overwhelming. Mum became a resident on the 25th of October 2023 and we are forever grateful that we made the right choice. The care that Mum received was outstanding and the communication is excellent, always extended to the family. The home is always clean with plenty of staff on hand and there is a full calendar of activities, with an excellent. Mum passed peacefully in October 2024 with family and staff that cared for her every day by her side, treated with dignity and kindness to both Mum and us. I could not have got through the final hours without them. We would highly recommend Weavers to anyone thinking about placing their loved one in this wonderful care.
Weavers provides a safe, warm and enriching environment and it is a huge comfort to know my mum is in such safe hands and able to enjoy a wide range of activities as she lives with dementia. The home is well-run with caring and knowledgeable staff and my mum always looks well cared for. The food is cooked on-site and my mum is well nourished, proper nourishment is always a worry when dementia sufferers live without constant support. The activities really are well thought out and the home has a number of small lounge areas so if my mum doesn't want to join in, she can sit somewhere else.
Thank you for this opportunity to share my family's thoughts and observations regarding Weavers Care Home. Our mother has been a resident for 18 months. Prior to this we have used other care homes for respite. When an opportunity arose for our mother to become a permanent resident we did so with obvious trepidation from our prior experiences. We did not need to have worried! Our mother has been looked after to a standard that has surpassed our highest wishes. Excellent care, superb activity schedule, hairdressing, nails, doting on her every wish and whim. The food, and choice is amazing in presentation and service. We appreciate that there may be other care homes of possibly equal standards. However we are quite certain that none can surpass Weavers. Thank you Weavers for making our beloved mother's life and happiness so complete.
Weavers was Mum's home for over ten years until her death in August 2024. Mum loved living at Weavers and always considered it her home, as all her family did. Mum was always treated with care, kindness and most importantly respect. She was always clean and looked well cared for. If there were problems of any kind, I was always contacted immediately and involved. The social activities team are excellent and go way over and above the activities on offer at many care homes. There's an excellent choice of food at meal times, it's fresh and cooked on-site and looks and smells delicious. I cannot rate all of the staff at Weaver's highly enough, it was the best decision I could have made when looking at care for my mum.
My nan was at Weavers for just over a year, she was always happy when we visited and pointed out staff and would say that's my friend. I loved that even though Nan lived with dementia, the home still took her on trips out and from the photos on their social media page of everyone enjoying there trip it made beautiful memories. Home has activities on daily and a good mix so everyone gets to enjoy something. Food is all fresh home made and Nan always cleared her plate. Staff are very dedicated to their jobs.
Weavers Care Home is exceptional with the level of care they supply, the staff are caring, friendly and very professional. The food served to the residents is of a high quality and well-presented. A special shout-out must go to the Events Coordinating team, the team leader is constantly reviewing the needs of the residents to ensure that they have an enjoyable time, this includes days out to theatres, gardens and other venues. There is an assortment of indoor games for the residents to partake in and singers etc visit the care home to entertain the residents.
My Mum has been at Weavers since March 2023 and I have to say it is and has been absolutely the best place for her after being at two other care homes in such a short time span. Here at Weavers she has settled down eventually and I definitely see Weavers as her "forever home " now, even though Mum has her confusion about where she is etc, I soon am able to reassure her that this is home now and it really is the right place for her, to which Mum always replies " I know - they are so good to me here". The staff are just amazing and get to know their residents quickly to enable the best care for them - they all feel like an extended family to both Mum and me now. And as for the activities team, they too are amazing, arranging trips and seasonal activities constantly, they all work so hard at entertaining the residents, just brilliant. I can never thank the staff for all they do for Mum, the peace of mind it gives me is priceless.
My aunt been resident for quite a few years but gets on with the staff which are lovely and very friendly. No end of activities going on and days out. Nothing is too much for the staff Wide variety of meals.
My Grandfather was in this home for 8 months, he was at a stage where we could no longer care for him with his numerous health difficulties at home and was seriously poorly. From the minute we contacted the home the staff were amazing they explained everything and the move was so smooth. They gave us our grandad back for those 8 months, his health improved and he went out regularly with the staff, something we couldn't do in 4 years since he declined. Since my grandma passed this was the best my grandad had been and as a family we are forever grateful to everyone at Weavers.
My Father suffered with Dementia and was in the Care Home for nearly 2.5 years until his death. The Care Home has such a wonderful team who showed my Father great compassion and loving acts of kindness and support. Nothing was too much for them. On taking Dad on days out, he always looked forward to going back to the home. He often expressed to me that the carers were lovely and looked after him well. The home regularly lays on activities where the staff try to get the residents involved. Also the food at mealtimes was lovely and wholesome. The staff at times would also take the residents to the shops/ parks etc. It is such a homely warm place for the residents.
I find the staff at the home are very helpful and they take care of the patients. Upon any problems with my sister falling they do let me know which is important to me. I don't have much to say in this review. Thank you.
As the son of a resident and regular visitor, I've found Weavers to be ideal for my mother's needs. The staff are some of the most caring people I know and the facilities amongst the cleanest. I feel safe knowing my mother is in good hands.
