View Full Details of Belvidere Residential HomeI just want to extend my thanks to the wonderful care team at Belvidere Residential Care Home. A couple of months ago we found ourselves in a situation where we had to find respite care for my sister who has dementia. Anyone who has been in this situation would understand the anxiety this decision caused us as a family. I was extremely concerned that the experience would create a lot of distress for my sister and it was not a decision I took lightly. I have to say, however, that my worries were put to rest from day 1, upon seeing the level of care that the staff provide at this home. My sister soon settled in after being warmly welcomed by the carers and it was plain to see that the residents well-being was at the forefront of their approach. The home is kept spotlessly clean, there is good entertainment provided and most importantly the staff maintain a good rapport with the residents. Thank you so much for all your hard work and for your care you all gave my sister.
We have to express how pleased we are with the care that our father has received. He was sent here from the hospital (discharge to assessment). All staff, care, housekeeping, laundry, kitchen and management have been nothing other than professional, kind and approachable. The care staff keep us informed about his care, any concerns etc. The food is excellent and varied. We are aware that the building is a little dated but it is exceptionally clean. We actually thought that a negative review on one site was for another home. Cannot agree with what was written. This is a 'caring' care home.
Mom is excellently cared for at all times. The staff are exceptionally kind and friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
My stepfather was a resident at Belvedere till the end of November when he had a chest infection and was admitted to hospital and later sadly passed away. The home was covid-free for several months because they put in all the restrictions anyone could have done. Belvidere was the best place my stepfather could have spent his final days in, it was home from home, he had Alzheimer's and dementia and all the staff were marvellous. When we visited, it felt like they were our extended family. A noticeable thing when you enter Belvidere is everyone is all smiles and relaxed. The food always looked very tasty and the smell was very appetising. If ever I end up and need care, Belvidere will be my first choice. A message to all staff, keep up the great work you are all doing.
My auntie stayed here for a month. She was very well looked after. The staff went above and beyond. The home was clean and inviting. The staff were all very bubbly and always made me feel welcome when I visited. I admire how the girls work together, it's not a job I could personally do.
My stepdad was at Belvedere for 18 months and he was looked after by very caring people. He always had a smile on his face, the staff were so happy and cheerful and I always felt welcome when I visited, they took care of my stepdad so well and I wouldn't hesitate to give the staff 10/10 for their care, very professional in every way...Thank you, Belvedere.
My mam spent the last few years of her life at the Belvidere which was a very happy time. The home itself, I found to be very safe, homely and had a happy atmosphere. the staff were always kind and professional and would go out of there way to help you. When man pasted away. The manager, sometimes in her own time helped me all the way with arrangements as I'm on my own, It was greatly appreciated the staff showed great empathy. So I feel the last few years of my mom's life they made it a happy and wonderful time. I could not have asked for any more.
My Great aunt was admitted into Belvidere for a short period only. Considering the current circumstances the staff went above and beyond in ensuring how well my aunt was looked after throughout her stay. Although visiting restrictions are in place I was able to see my aunt via facetime. It was evident that she had settled in well. I would recommend Belvidere to anyone looking for a caring home for their family member.
My mother received excellent care during her 2-year stay at Belvidere. All the staff were very caring and compassionate towards all the resident and me. I would highly recommend anyone looking for residential care.
I could only say that all the staff were very good. They could not do enough for you and my dad.
In the fourteen months that my mother was in care, the last seven months were spent at Belvedere. The staff were absolutely brilliant, very professional in their duties and a very kind and friendly attitude. It is obvious that care is a vocation and not just a job. The management is excellent and leads by example to maintain the very high standards that have become the norm. A very good home.
My dad has been at Belvidere Residential Home for the past twelve months; my dad is very happy being there. The staff are all friendly, and they treat all the residents as though there were looking after a member of their own family. They do various activities and have themed days. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone to have their Mom, Dad, Aunt, Uncle or Grandparents staying there.
My dad went into Belvidere in January 2020. What I experienced before lockdown, was very good care. Dad was very underweight and was not eating; they tried hard to encourage him to eat. My dad would like a shower more often he's only had two since he moved in there. He finds this upsetting as he loves his showers, and was a very clean person. This is the only downside everything else is good.
My grandad has been a resident since August 2019. Can’t recommend it highly enough. The staff are warm and welcoming and the quality of care is excellent. Very down to earth, always happy and grandad is being cared for in a safe, clean environment. We’ve just returned from the home after not seeing grandad since February. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon outside, with 2 singers who entertained us with songs from 1900-1940. The carers got my grandad up and dancing then had a bbq. All visitors and staff wearing masks and strict 2m rule adhered to. Was lovely to see my grandad singing, dancing and smiling.
My mother was admitted initially to Belvidere residential home in a Pathway 3 bed. She quickly settled and when it came to looking for a permanent place she was adamant that she wanted to stay at Belvidere. All the carers are very conscientious and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. My mother is very happy and loves all her meals. Difficult to fully review due to lockdown due to Covid-19.
I am pleased with the care that my grandad has received whilst in this home. The staff are amazing and worked out his character straight away. The food always looks great with a wide variety and staff go above and beyond to cater to individual needs. I can't thank the care team enough as they have provided a wonderful environment for my grandad when needed.
My Aunty has been a resident at Belvidere since December 2013. She has always been treated with care and dignity. She has always been happy there and the staff is always there for the family too. We can be content that she is safe and cared for by the excellent staff and manager.
My mother has been staying at Belvidere since February 2020. The staff has been very efficient and caring. Nothing is too much trouble and my Mom has settled in very well. Due to lockdown I have not been able to visit but have been able to chat through the window and phoning her has never been a problem. Well done Belvidere for keeping the home COVID-19 free throughout the pandemic.
Mother, who is now in an advanced stage of dementia, has lived at Belvidere for over four years. During this time we have never had cause to consider changing this. There are no issues with regard to food, cleanliness, and accommodation generally. Have always found the staff to be genuinely caring in attitude and responsive to resident's needs. The home is well managed with a proactive attitude to problem-solving. Prompt communication of any issues regarding mother, medical or otherwise, is particularly appreciated.
Mum has been staying at Belvidere for four years and is well looked after and cared for by the staff. Her room is very basic but this is partially due to her illness as she moves, empties, and hides things. As mealtimes are protected I can't comment on them as I only see cups of tea and biscuits at snack times between meals.
