We had to find emergency care for my dad who has Alzheimer's. Caldene Rest Home were able to take him the same day and were very obliging. The staff were wonderful in helping him to settle in and looking after him. They developed a good relationship with him and made him feel safe at a very difficult time. Would highly recommend.

At all times, I have found staff extremely helpful, supportive and do the utmost to make the residents feel well cared for and happy in their environment going beyond expected standards.

My wife came here 15th August 2024, she settled in comfortably in no time at all, thanks to the staff who looked after my wife with care and attention. After a few weeks until her medication was sorted, my wife had a difficult time at Caldene, but with love and care and correct medication, she is now a fully settled resident who is happy to live there.

I cannot thank the staff at Caldenen Rest Home enough for the care they give my mom. They keep me up to date with everything. She is always clean and comfortable. Everything is tailored to meet the resident's needs, and she enjoys everything done. It's a pleasure to see her and the staff. Thank you so much.

Looking after my mother-in-law very well indeed, given that she now has quite serious dementia issues. She has benefitted from being moved away from her flat to the home in many ways, not least in that she now has 24-hour care.

The most caring staff - feels like family. They take care of my father's non-health needs. The only improvement could be the communication of health needs and also occasionally not realising the seriousness of health issues. Food and drinks are very good for Father. Rooms were kept clean and sufficient independence was given. Overall amazing home especially for the price but could just focus on my health needs a little more.

The staff at Caldene Rest Home are unwavering in their dedication in maintaining the highest of standards of care. My mother-in-law has settled into Caldene so well due to her needs being met with patience, kindness and dignity. The variety of activities keep her busy and active. Our questions are answered and welcomed, which is so reassuring for us. A special shout out to the manager who keeps us up to date and is so kind and supportive. Thank you.

The staff are very helpful and polite. The home is very clean and tidy. My friend is always clean and tidy when I visit him.

This is a lovely care home. I feel that my mom is taken great care of. She's happy, clean and well looked after. The staff are fantastic, always keep me informed of any problems or worries about her being there. Highly recommend.

This simple but kind care home has given our mum good and consistent care over several years now. The staff have become like a family in our place, since she can't live independently anymore. They are always welcoming of our visits and support us to take Mum out. They know her well, how to tease and encourage her. They find activities she is good at and Mum really enjoys the meals. Thank you to all the staff.

My aunty has been a resident here for a few years and I have to say that in all that time I find the quality of care and compassion to be excellent. The staff are always friendly and helpful and my aunt's needs are fully catered for. I would not hesitate to recommend Caldene Rest Home to anyone who needs to find quality care in the local community.

As always, I find Caldene Rest Home to be outstanding in the care of my relative. The home is always clean and warm and she is always well dressed and washed and well fed. She, herself, says she is well looked after. Although I don't go into the main rooms of the home any staff that I do come into contact with are friendly and helpful.

The staff are very helpful to my brother and myself if I have any concerns about my brother's illness they are always there to speak to me about it, my brother is difficult sometimes but they always have the knack to handle him and we are always made to feel welcome when we go there by all members of staff and are always prompt on any issues that arise so I thank you all very much for the job you are all doing.

Although still not able to enter the main building it always appears clean and neat. Staff are friendly and willing to talk and answer our questions. Although due to her dementia we are not able to converse with her, she appears comfortable and cared for.

Staff were very helpful to my husband and myself. If I had concerns about my husband's physical or mental health they always gave me the time to discuss things. My husband could be difficult at times due to his dementia but the manager and other staff had the knack of how to handle him and even make him laugh. They are very professional and have even given me support since my husband's death. Caldene Rest Home is to be highly recommended!

My mum was very well looked after by all the staff which include kitchen, domestics, health care assistants and nursing staff. Mum was not always the easiest of patients to care for but they all knew her wants and needs. Mum was happy and contented. Mum loved listening and dancing to the music and singers. All the staff catered for all of her needs. As family members, we were always made to feel welcome and at home. They always shared their concerns regarding Mum and during her final days and hours, she was looked after with reverence and dignity, for which we will be forever grateful.

As I live some distance from my aunt and her only sister is in poor health, all the care falls fully on the staff at Caldene Rest Home. The staff are always available to talk to me and are prompt to advise on any issues arising. We appreciate their work at a very testing time. Many thanks and best regards.

During lockdown we have been unable to observe the interior of the home. However, the operations have seemed to be perfectly satisfactory. We have had no problems thus far. The following ratings are only for what we have been able to observe.
