View Full Details of Dingle Meadow Care HomeMy overall experience with the home is satisfactory to good. This can be dependant on which staff are on. Some staff go above and beyond and others do not so. Some pay attention to detail and provide support and action, and others tend to brush you off. The home is clean, the staff are friendly, good choice of food. Don't seem to notice many activities for residents. Another home I looked at had daily activities.
The home is very warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are lovely and genuinely caring, nothing is too much trouble. The food is very good and it is healthy and tasty. It has a very homely feeling and I am very happy with the care my mom is receiving. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
From the very 1st day mom arrived at Dingle Meadow all of the staff have been extremely caring and kind to mom, nothing is too much trouble. I feel mom is now safe and cared for and it very much gives me peace of mind which I didn't have before. As a family, we are always welcomed and made to feel at ease and part of the 'Dingle Meadow Family'
My nan has been her just over a year now and from the moment she arrived has been treated, and cared for absolutely incredible. We are all welcome as a family and it makes leaving her also easier knowing she is cared for and very happy.
What can I say about Dingle Meadow? Almost two years everything is still spot on which I think is exceptional after almost two years.
Moved into the Dingle Meadows in October 2023 this is the best move I made. I feel at home and I tell everyone this. I help laying the tables. I love everyone in this place. I feel it has given me a purpose, Everyone is loved by me.
My mother was a resident at Dingle Meadow from November 2016 until her demise in January 2024. Throughout her stay, she was treated with care, patience kindness and good humour even when her behaviour was extremely challenging. The staff supported not just my mother but also her family members at the most difficult of times. Thank you Dingle Meadow.
This care home is by far the best ever. Always spotlessly clean, always something going on. The staff are like family, nothing is too much trouble. Always speak, always polite. Anything that needs doing is done. Total confidence in the staff. 10 out of 10. Totally amazing home.
Unfortunately, this will be my last review of such a wonderful Care Home Dingle Meadow. My mum passed away at the end of March with caring staff at her side, love and dignity given throughout her last hours. In fact, Mum's stay with Dingle Meadow could never be faulted by myself or my family we could visit anytime and never found anything to complain about just made so welcome. Dingle Meadow had been Mum's home for over five years without their care she would not have survived until almost 99 years, so I really hope other families will visit and chat with all members of staff including residents and realise what a very special place this is.
My father was a resident in a temporary enhanced assessment bed between November to December. He was on a dementia wing for this assessment but also had several medical ailments including lung cancer as a primary diagnosis I would like to highly commend the care he received during his relatively short stay with the team. I would have no hesitation in placing any other relative for care. The whole team demonstrated compassion, kindness and care as well as expert knowledge. It was with regret Dad could not see his days out with you. Thank you.
The staff at Dingle Meadow provide excellent care to my mother. The home is always full of laughter and my mother is treated with dignity, respect and patience. My mother describes the food as very good and her room is warm and always clean. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms which really helps the settling-in process and makes their rooms more homely. I am always asked for feedback and kept up to date by the staff on any issues that may arise. Thank you for all you do, it really is appreciated.
As usual, when visiting my mother-in-law I found her in good spirits and immaculately turned out. I can only say all of the staff are kind and professional, with dignity given to the residents. I always enjoy the experience of the visit.
Although our Dad only spent a month at Dingle Meadow he had the best care you could have wished for. To us it wasn't a care home it was a five-star hotel. He loved the first three weeks there, lived like a king, then was taken ill. I highly recommend this care home. The staff are amazing, always a smile on everyone's face and they can't do enough for you.
Warm, welcoming, friendly staff with a comfortable lounge and delicious buffet served during our visit, which was a very welcome surprise and made our visit more enjoyable as we could all share food together. We found the home clean and warm, and our relative excellently cared for. A massive reassurance as none of us lives close to the home. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff we met.
Throughout my mother's stay at the care home, I have found her care, from what I have seen, to be first-class. The staff are very poltie, even when very busy. I am always put through to my mother when I phone her. I have always been able to take my mother out for the day. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
I cannot speak highly enough of the team and management. They have been friendly, helpful, informative and caring. My aunty has been extremely happy here. Thanks to the team.
I like living here. The staff are good.
My nan has been at Dingle Meadow for the last three years, unfortunately, the whole family live very far away - I’m in Aberdeen and other family members are abroad so coupled with Covid and logistics it’s been tough. Each time I have managed to get to Birmingham the team have been nothing but kind and helpful to provide a facility to at least see Nan. Of course, I’d rather be inside not just in the pod but that’s how it is right now. Nan is very old, nearly 98, she’s clearly well looked after and comfortable - it seems they look after her very well.
I would not recommend this care home. Our experience there was very disappointing and my Grandmother had two very miserable years there. I would not want anyone else to be left with the memories we have of our Grandmother's final days and seeing how she was let down. If it hadn’t been for the restrictions from Covid we would have moved her to another home. Unfortunately due to the review rules, I cannot give reasons why it was so appalling but I hope I can warn others not to make the same mistake we did.
In February 2021 at the height of the pandemic, we made the difficult decision to move both Mum and Dad into care. We couldn’t view Dingle Meadow in person but we had a Zoom show round. Mum liked the look of it, Dad was reticent but accepted that they needed help. From the moment they arrived the staff bent over backwards to make them feel welcome, their kindness and patience with my dad, in particular, was amazing. The food is plentiful and they are clean and comfortable. Visits were through a window to start with but now as an essential carer, I am able to visit in their room. The staff are helpful and they keep me up to date on everything that is going on. Emails to the manager are answered quickly or I get a phone call response. The senior carers are brilliant in keeping me informed of my parents' needs/changes in medication/doctor appointments. Dad still isn’t happy at being in a home but even he now says ‘it’s good here, they really look after us’. Believe me, from him, that is praise indeed!
