View Full Details of Rayner House CareMy father arrived at Rayner House almost three months ago and was immediately made to feel very welcome and cared for, with all the staff making a real effort to ensure he was comfortable in his new surroundings. He speaks highly of the food and of the attention he receives from the carers as they run his daily routine with him. As his family, we are reassured that he's safe, being well looked after, and in our daily visits we see the degree of care and kindness shown to my father and the other residents. Having seen other care homes previously when visiting other family members, Rayner House is way above them in many ways, from its facilities, care, and most importantly, in its 'look and feel'. Very well done to all who work there.
From the moment you walk through the door, you are met by very helpful friendly staff. The staff and carers are all very approachable and take time to chat with residents and visitors. The food is of very good quality with ample portions and a varied menu. The home is always clean and you regularly see the housekeeping staff around. The hairdresser visits every week and there is a weekly activity schedule. Extremely happy with the service provided.
I would definitely recommend Raynor House Care Home. The staff are just lovely, they are very caring and professional. It is very clean, the food is really good and the chef will always provide any special requests. There are plenty of activities for those who want to take part. The care provided is top quality. And one of the cheapest in Solihull, it is situated in a really lovely area of Solihull. My relative has been there for nearly 2 years now and i really wouldn't like her to be anywhere else.
My mother has been a resident since last year. She has experienced some real health challenges during this time including several stays in Hospital. The carers at Rayner House Care have always looked after my mother's needs with care and respect. As a family it is very reassuring for us to know that she is being cared for but most importantly to hear my Mother say that she cannot praise the carers highly enough, she says they will do anything for you. The staff are very professional and friendly whenever we visit.
The care, love and attention my mum gets is outstanding, there never appears to be any rush to do things quickly at the expense of the right care at the right time. Crucially whilst I am away with work most days I feel reassured that she is in great hands. A big tick for not for profit organisations running care facilities.
This care home gave my dad excellent care from the day he went there until the last day of his life. They are most professional and were always pleasant and encouraging towards him. I would certainly recommend the home to anyone. An exceptional, kind and caring home.
This care home gave my husband exceptional care. Nothing concerning him was too much trouble for the staff. The carers were kind, caring and always happy he was kept very clean and was changed every day. The care at the end of his life was excellent and they also looked after my son and myself. I would recommend this home to anyone. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff there.
Couldn't say anything more positive about Rayner House - absolutely faultless in their culture that is instilled in everyone from the care home manager all the way down to the catering staff and the cleaners. The carers really and truly do care and that's the number one worry that we had when making the difficult decision to send both of our grandparents to Rayner House. They have looked after our grandparents for nearly a decade in total and treated them with the utmost dignity and faultlessly to the inevitable end. The facility is not the newest but that did not detract from the standard of the food or the quality of the care. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering care facilities in Solihull or the wider area. Fantastic through and through.
Mom has been at Rayner House for over three years now as she had become unable to look after herself at home. When she arrived there from hospital she was unwell, lonely, unhappy and had lost all sense of purpose. The staff at Rayner House were friendly, approachable and understanding, I knew straight away that Mom was in the right place. She settled very quickly and soon became much happier, enjoyed better health and clearly felt secure and more confident. Over time it was lovely to see how much she enjoyed being there and how she had developed some lovely relationships not only with other residents but with staff too! Mom has simply thrived there and I cannot speak highly enough of the manager and her team. Mom has recently returned to Rayner House after being hospitalised and her needs have now significantly changed. The staff have welcomed her back and shown her the utmost care and consideration and a positive approach to her recovery. I highly recommend Rayner House.
Mum moved to Rayner House just over two years ago. After a fall at home, she decided to try Rayner House on a respite basis. She really settled in well and after some thought, mum decided to move in permanently knowing she was safer living with 24-hour care. The staff have all helped mum feel at home as well as promote as much independent living as is safe. There are activities to join in at the Day centre if residents so wish. Mum says “I couldn’t be anywhere better, the staff are marvellous to me”. The rooms are very clean with ensuite facilities and there is a lovely private garden to sit in. Staff are very professional and approachable at all times. They are to be commended during the pandemic for keeping their own and residents' spirits up and for protecting all residents against Covid. I would highly recommend Rayner House.
My grandmother has lived at Raynor House for over 5 years and has always been treated incredibly well. Staff are helpful, friendly and the care provided and decisions made by management throughout the global pandemic has always been spot on. I commend the staff for a brilliant attitude, and would wholeheartedly recommend Raynor House.
In these difficult times, I have always found the staff most helpful and caring. And most of all, the fact that a year on from the start of the pandemic, they have kept all of their residents safe, without a single case of Covid-19! Exceptional! Well done to everybody.
Mum (95 years old) had lived in Yew Trees for a few years, unfortunately, after a fall while shopping she became unable to look after herself properly. After a spell in hospital and three weeks in another respite home, arranged by the hospital, she was transferred to Rayner House (the first week of lockdown). I was unsure how she would react to her feeling confined as she has always been very independent, however, I should not have worried as she has been looked after very well. The staff have taken care of her and she is now happier than I have known her to be for some time. I cannot praise the staff enough for their care and patience with Mum.
My dad has dementia. He attends the day centre twice a week, which he loves, the team are all fabulous so patient, engaging, caring and fun. Dad had a week respite at Rayner House and they were fantastic. So caring and professional. They supported dad and the family. Dad settled well and was very well cared for. They took dad into the day centre every day for continuity. I can’t thank the staff at both centres for their support and excellent service.
My mother has lived at Rayner House for almost 12 months, the staff are very caring and supportive, they listen and respond to concerns and requests. The home is welcoming, clean and comfortable and has a wide range of activities available and a lovely garden. I would not hesitate to recommend Rayner House.
My mother was admitted directly from hospital in the knowledge that she was no longer capable of living alone at home, even with a daily care package. After a few days, the staff had increased her confidence, her health improved and she quickly settled into the comfortable and safe environment, participating in several of the activities. Within 18 months, there has been very little change of staff. The Trust Manager is to be commended. I have no hesitation in recommending Rayner House and it has been a great comfort to know that my mother is so well cared for.
My husband was admitted from the hospital for respite care. He was dehumanised, sad and confused after that 10 days underfunded hospital experience and within a day or so at Rayner House with their care and encouragement he was unbelievably improved. He was up, washed and actually dressed from the beginning (but not cruelly and abruptly at 5.30am) and helped down to breakfast and lunch with some other male residents who told him off if he didn't eat! The facilities were homely and safe and the staff on every level were fun but firm and like family. They all gave him just the right level of care, whilst sometimes standing back to give him confidence. Home after a week with a new lease of life and completely independent. Thank you to the Trust Manager and her team. I have no hesitation in recommending you and hope you will take up my offer to volunteer when you need help in return!
