View Full Details of Silver BirchesUpon visiting the home I was overwhelmed with the standard of care delivered. I had a discussion with the general manager and was very touched by how caring and passionate she came across. Nothing was too much trouble and it is evident with the team she leads. thank you. The home was presented well with no odour and inviting, the residents were engaged as well as looked cared for.
As soon as we entered the building, it had a warm, friendly feeling and smelled nice. The staff were so friendly. On seeing our dear friend, I was over the moon; her room was so lovely and cosy; she was sitting waiting for us, looking so fresh, clean and happy. We are so pleased with this place; I would not hesitate if I had to put my family members here. The walls have been painted by an artist country scenes etc, amazing. We had a lovely visit with a nice cup of coffee. Many thanks for looking after our dear friends so well.
My mom has been a resident here since May with dementia. I couldn't have wished for a better home for her. The staff are so lovely and friendly. They make you feel part of a family, and nothing is too much trouble for them. I don't worry about my mom like I used to; I know she is being well looked after, and I can phone whenever I want. I would highly recommend Silver Birches care home. I can't thank them enough.
Care at Silver Birches is very good. I have never felt any anxiety about the way my brother is cared for, and the staff always keep me informed if any problems arise. The home is a little shabby but always scrupulously clean and fresh.
Outstanding care. The staff are very thoughtful and caring. The home is always clean, and if there are any issues with my sister, they always ring me. The individual rooms are very nice, complete with a bathroom.
My wife has been at Silver Birches for four years and is generally very happy. I usually see her once a week in her room, which is usually clean, and she is well presented. There are occasions when the staff seem to be overworked or maybe they are just short of staff on a particular day, but generally, she appears to be well looked after, and I have no serious complaints. I can’t comment on any functions that she takes part in, as I’m not there, and her Alzheimer’s condition makes it difficult for me to understand, as she is unable to converse with me in any meaningful manner. However, overall I am satisfied with the treatment received at the home.
Silver Birches suits my mum. It is very homely, clean and well thought out. All the staff I have met have been polite, friendly and caring - emphasis on the caring as honestly, I am taken aback as to how kind, hard-working and caring they all are. With all the media coverage and most of it not good with 'care homes' and negative talk, I found myself feeling like I didn't want my mum to go into any care homes, but I have to admit my mum's experience and mine have been nothing but wholly positive and a good journey, and I know she is in a good place, safe and happy. Even though management and staff have a lot to do, 'we' are never left feeling we are an afterthought, nothing is too much trouble, and they all seem happy to be there. I have no problems in recommending Silver Birches; it is small, perfectly formed and highly organised. 'Thank you'.
Would just like to say that the staff at the care home have cared for my mom in very difficult circumstances and still always found the time to support me with advice or just a friendly chat, and they always have my mom's best interests at heart.
My mum has been in care since March 2020, and I can honestly say I couldn’t be more delighted with her care. I know my mum is happy as she tells me when I visit her. I can say thank you to Silver Birches for your continued care and support in what is challenging time’s for us all .
