View Full Details of The CroftMy mother-in-law has dementia. She has been a resident of The Croft for one year. The Croft have been amazing to her and to us as a family during this time. We cannot speak highly enough of the manager here and her team. My mother-in-law was 100 years old in October and celebrations were held for her here and a cake made. The activities team made sure of that. Exemplary care throughout which gives us as a family so much peace of mind well done to everyone.
I would just like to say I am very pleased with the service my mom has received since being in The Croft. The staff are very good and always there to help her and even to sit and have a chat with Mom.
My mother has been a resident for almost a year and has been very content at The Croft and always tells me she has no complaints. She especially enjoys activities and numerous trips out. The staff are all caring and attentive and The Croft has a very homely, happy ambience.
The home is like 'home from home'. The staff make the residents feel like part of a community. My mam has dementia and has thrived during the 3 years at the home, I can't thank the staff enough.
Lovely care home, always plenty of staff around, so caring. Lovely and clean and nothing is too much trouble. Recommend highly.
I find The Croft excellent and helpful in every way.
It took me a couple of weeks to settle into The Croft, but as time passed, thanks to the support of the staff I began to feel comfortable and make friendships. The staff were all so patient and knew their jobs so well that it helped build my confidence. Many of them could multitask and help everything ran smoothly. My room was kept clean and comfortable and the meals were good with generous servings. Visitors were welcomed. Our safety and security were important and when we needed medical attention I was confident I would be looked after promptly by appropriately qualified staff. The manager set high standards, the whole management team were seen around the home constantly. They were approachable, experienced, kind and friendly. If I have to spend time in a residential home in the future, The Croft would be my choice without a doubt, especially as attention was given to our minds through the afternoon activities, which I enjoyed a lot.
Early days yet of mum's care but up to now, general consensus is good.
My dad is being very well cared for by the staff, they are all very kind and approachable. The food is excellent, since my dad has been here his health has improved dramatically. It was easily arrange for my dad to come here and short notice for respite.
The Croft provides excellent care for my Father. The staff are always busy but responsive to residents and relatives. In my opinion, we are very lucky to have found such a fabulous home. My Father is very happy here as he is always stimulated by the varied programme of activities provided (something different every day). The staff takes care to learn about the interests of residents and tailor care and activities accordingly.
I am very happy here. I have been here for 3 years and have no complaints. The staff are excellent, and look after us very well.
The Croft is a comfortable and cosy care home. The rooms are warm and homely and are decorated perfectly for the residents. The staff are always friendly and helpful. My mother is given a soft diet and the meals I have seen for the residents look fairly good.
The staff at The Croft are pleasant and welcoming. The care workers I encounter on visits to my aunt are patient and caring. The standard of my aunt's room is barely satisfactory by modern-day expectations, especially when her fees are taken into account. The food is good and the home is very clean. My aunt is very independent and doesn't require the level of care other residents receive but it frustrates her not knowing whether her fees are fair.
My elderly (94-year-old) aunt has been in The Croft for a few months and I am very pleased with the care and support she is receiving. The home has all the necessary facilities, is well run and the staff are wonderful. Moving into the home has been a difficult transition for my (widowed) aunt who had been living independently in her own home for the past 30 years. However, she is happy in her new surroundings and full of praise for how she's being cared for, which is what matters, most to her family and friends. Thank you!
The best asset of The Croft is the staff who are always kind and treat my mum with care and dignity. The food is always of high quality and my mum really enjoys it. Rooms are always clean and looked after, the cleaning staff are excellent, especially one in particular. There is a great variety of activities that she could participate in. The events such as the Summer Fayre are always very good and well organised.
My relative has been in The Croft for the past 18 months. As a family, we are very happy with the care and feel we can relax and know she is in good hands.
The staff members at Croft are so warm and welcoming. The manager is amazing every step of the way she is always available reassuring and very warm. The home itself is beautiful its got a very homely feel to it. My grandmother always enjoys the activities that are put on regularly. The meals offered are always fresh and if my grandmother doesn't want to eat what is available an alternative is made. My grandmother always looks happy, clean and fresh. When we visit she always speaks highly of the staff.
I feel that my room needs updating (curtains particularly). I am happy living at the Croft - carers are kind and friendly but sometimes the constant change of staff is a concern.l
Generally very good. Like many care homes, they have been short of staff at times. Excellent outdoor space for the summer. Staff very friendly and helpful. Problems are sorted out in good time. A good supply of books to read.
I have found that staff are very friendly and accommodating, although they are very busy and sometimes things don't get done when promised. Mum is generally looked after well and her specific needs are looked after. In my experience, the home is a good place to be.
