View Full Details of Coton GrangeI have found the care home in the short time I have been visiting my husband to be kind, caring, friendly and extremely helpful in every way. My husband seems to be settling in - at nearly 98 - a big change in every way for him to accept. I feel confident that with the years left to him, I can be sure that he will be cared for at all times.
My cousin has been a resident at the care home for a number of years. All staff are polite and pleasant to him. He is well looked after and shown dignity and respect. He is well and happy. The food is good, it has entertainment now and then and outings. Overall I am happy and contented knowing that he is in a good place and being looked after if there are any issues. The manager or staff let me know. Thank you all for being there for him.
We found Coton Grange on the internet and we were struck by the lovely, heartfelt reviews and lovely photographs. We arranged a visit over the phone and the manager was very kind and supportive. We were made so welcome by one member of staff in particular and all the other staff and residents, who we were introduced to. Mum has a lovely warm room overlooking the gardens with her own shower/toilet. The staff were kind. The food was lovely, the environment was pleasant. We have no regrets about our choice of Coton Grange.
All staff are polite and plesant to my mum and family members, care staff always had my mum's best interests at heart. She was well loved and cared for by all staff.
I have had very good care from day one, and a nice atmosphere. Excellent food can eat what you like. Very nice people who are friendly. Helped in and out of bed and you're not left to your own devices.
I had to find a care home for my mother who suffers from dementia when my step-father was put into end of life care because he lost his fight with cancer. We wanted my Mom as close as possible to us in Wolverhampton and searched a number of homes. Coton Grange were extremely supportive and helpful from the first conversation we had with them. This was done during Covid, so it was very difficult and the management and staff did everything they could to help us make this very traumatic time, as bearable as possible. My mom has now been in their care for nearly 6 months and we could not be happier. It is very apparent that she is happy there and the staff treat her and the other residents like family. I have never had any concerns and the team at Coton Grange do all they can to make their lives as happy and enjoyable as they can. It has not been easy through Covid and I am really pleased with everyone there and the efforts they make daily to enhance the lives of the residents.
Mum has had quite a bad experience at home alone and then going into sheltered accommodation-increased mental confusion and decreased mobility to the point of doing nothing and complete lack of interest. Due to a fall, she was taken to hospital and was not deemed able to resume at sheltered accommodation. Almost by default, she ended up at Coton Grange during the Covid problems, and what a change in her circumstances. She now can articulate and walk with a frame and appears completely happy in her surroundings. Our life has changed completely from worry and care to the point where she is quite happy for us to continue our life whilst she is "living a very pleasant life with friends". Difficult to see her due to Covid restrictions, but this will end, and all should be good. We are very grateful for the care and compassion shown to Mum and the liaison with us as to her well being.
My Mom has been with you since February and we are extremely pleased with the way she is being looked after. We saw her a few weeks ago through the window as it was her 93rd Birthday and she looked happy and comfortable and was smiling. She was glad to see us. The staff in the home have been great with her and they have managed to get her to come out of her room and join the other residents. One of the staff members told us they all love her. We are very happy and would recommend the home.
My mother has been a resident for 3-months, during which time, we have been unable to visit due to lockdown but from interactions with the staff, I am very satisfied that my mother has settled and is well looked after. The staff are very caring and supportive and have done their utmost during these difficult times.
Mom was admitted into Coton Grange in May 2020 from hospital. Unfortunately, Mom had contracted Covid-19 before she got to the home. We were scared and frightened of how this disease would affect Mom. But with the love and care of all the staff at Coton Grange, Mom pulled through. We are encouraged to call the home anytime if we have any worries or concerns about Mom. With contact via the telephone with Mom, we know that she is safe and happy there. Due to the current situation, the staff have made it possible for us to see Mom at a distance which has been amazing. The staff go above and beyond to care for all the residents at the home for which I am extremely grateful. I would personally like to thank the manager and all the staff at the home for the superb job that each and every one of them are doing to make their final years happy ones. Thank you Coton Grange.
My mother has been in Coton Grange for a few years now. Although there have been a few minor challenges over that time, these have always been resolved to our satisfaction. Staffing is often a challenge in this professional, as the nation is now realising. But where staff have occasionally not been suited to the role they have always left, one way or another, and we feel that current arrangements and management is very good indeed. We have great, two-way communication and although visiting has of course been impossible recently we always feel able to contact management and influence Mom's care if needed, which is rare. We also very much appreciate being able to make a phone call to be able to talk to Mom once or twice a week. The deciding factor as to our happiness with this home is whether Mom is happy or not. She is happy at Coton, and feels that she is well looked after. So long as that remains the case then I'm happy too and can rest easy.
I find the staff kind and patient even when under pressure. They are always friendly and chatting and smiling. We have had difficult times lately, but they have carried on regardless of their own health, and still found time to hold my hand through worrying times. I know they aren’t real angels, but I’m sure I have caught a glimpse of something shining over their heads from time to time. Thank you.
We are very happy with the level of care and the communication and reassurance from staff at Coton Grange during this very difficult period. Thank you to all staff for the work you have done under extremely challenging conditions.
Mom had a couple of falls and due to dementia was unable to cope any longer at home. It was a very challenging time as Mom went into the home two days before lockdown. The staff have shown the utmost care for Mom, and have kept us well informed. The management took the very hard decision to lock down the home before they were told to by government and this has very probably saved lives. Although unable to visit we have been able to wave at Mom through the window and staff have explained this to Mom. Mom always appears well kept and very happy. I would not hesitate to recommend this home, a lovely home, nice surroundings and very caring, pleasant staff. Looking forward to when we can all visit and join in activities.
Mom went into the home during a very trying time. She had moved from the hospital straight to Coton Grange, and we had very little choice over the move itself, as the hospital forced Mom to go there. Since her admittance, it was discovered that she had contracted Covid-19, and naturally, we were devastated and very worried. The staff have been more than happy to talk to us over the phone, and it was clear that Mom had moved into a very caring facility. Considering she had been quarantined for three weeks, she settled in reasonably well, and the staff seemed to know Mom's personality quite quickly. We cannot enter the home to visit Mom because of the virus, but the staff are happy to arrange for us to visit to see her through the door, and Mom seems happy enough there. The staff have a pleasant and caring attitude, happy to hold Mom's hand when they communicate with her with patience. The home is in a lovely location, very quiet and safe. The staff are kind and approachable.
Thanks to all the staff at Coton Grange, for keeping Mom and the other residents happy and healthy during this pandemic. It has been so hard not being able to visit, but a comfort knowing she is happy, and well looked after. Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.
My mother has been in Coton Grange for around three years now. The location of the home is second to none. Coton Grange has all of the facilities required to take great care of all of the residents. The staff are always polite and take great care of the residents. I can’t imagine what all of the staff have been through since lockdown. Obviously I have not been able to visit my mother due to the virus. But I have been totally comfortable and confident during these unprecedented times that my mother will have been looked after to a very high standard.
Mom has settled in well and been reassured by staff about her daily care. All staff are very approachable, helpful and attentive. Any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. One always felt welcomed when visiting and feedback from staff on well-being is often shared upon arrival without being asked for.
Although my next of kin was only with Coton Grange for a relatively short time, she was very happy and content whilst there. She loved her room and the kindness and care of the staff was second to none. She couldn't get enough of the food, especially the puddings. When she was suddenly taken ill at the home, the staff were quick to respond and get her the medical care she needed. They showed compassion and support towards me when she passed away. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
My aunt has only been here three weeks but I am happy that she is being well-cared for.
