View Full Details of Coton HouseHappy with Mother's care. The staff are friendly, efficient and approachable.
I was sent to Coton House because I had broken my femur and couldn't stand or walk to start with, so required somewhere to stay and be looked after.
Excellent staff, very caring, person-centred care, and nice to relatives. The staff help to facilitate nice birthdays and welcome wider family. He has been treated with dignity and respect and his safety is met, which is most important to me. I am allowed to visit whenever I want but I try and come within the times. The home itself is dated and could do with some improvements. Overall happy.
The staff are professional, efficient, and friendly. There are activities, jigsaws, clay modelling, knitting, sometimes bingo, and a male singer - everyone enjoys this, brings back happy memories for all, and a chance to dance or tap your toes. Very friendly and happy home, where everyone has a good time.
I am very pleased with Coton House, my sister was in a very poor staff when she went in there and we thought we were going to lose her, but with the care and attention she got, I am glad to say she rallied round so will always be grateful to them.
Our Stepfather has been a resident at Coton House since 20/2/22 after discharge from the hospital following a fall breaking his wrist, and contracting COVID while there. The staff from senior management, direct care, kitchen, laundry, and domestic are excellent. They show care, kindness, consideration, and most importantly dignity to Dad always. On occasion when staff had concerns over Dad the appropriate agency was called and the family was informed immediately. The same applies to us as visitors as a family on our frequent visits. My sister and I have worked in the care sector at local authority care sectors. for 30 + years before retirement. Dad is content and very happy we know at Coton House. Thank you all Coton House staff.
Mum has been at Coton House for two years and I really can't fault the care and support we have been given as a family. Mum's needs have changed so much but the quality of care has not diminished at all it's just got better. As a family, we are greeted with a smile at the door, kept up to date and always feel welcome. Louise the assistant manager in particular has been a rock whilst navigating the care package with the Local Authority fighting for Mum quality of care. I am so grateful to the staff at Coton House and would recommend it to any family looking for care for their loved ones.
My mother moved in on a temporary basis to recuperate after being very poorly. I have to thank the management and support for your time and care. This had been a very challenging time, and everyone had done their best to listen and care for Mum's recuperation period. I cannot thank you all enough, everyone has been exceptional.
Found Coton House to be very clean and safe for its occupants and the staff very helpful.
I would like to thank all staff and management of Coton House Care Home for the care of my aunt. They have gone above and beyond in their care for my aunt and informed us on a regular basis. Very clean environment, staff are so humble.
Our family would like to say thank you to the team at Coton House Care Home. We recently lost our beloved mom who has lived here for the last four years. She was shown care, compassion, dignity and given quality of life with dementia. The professional manner at Coton House is exemplary. Looking back now, we can honestly say that Mom received a high level of personal care and safety. The lovely team were both informative and approachable and for this we are grateful.
I have been at Coton House Care Home for over three years, Coton is my home. Staff encourage my independence. The care is wonderful, staff are very helpful. We have been through a lot over the last two years. Things are now going back to normal and can start outings to the pub again.
I have been very happy to know Mum is being cared for properly; in comparison to a previous respite home. She always looks happy, clean and content. This a relief to know that I don't have to worry about her. I would feel happy to recommend Coton House. Many years ago, my grandfather was here, and he enjoyed his time here.
During the eighteen months my mother resided at Coton House Care Home she was cared for in an exemplary way by all staff and they always had her best interests at heart. Communication between the home and family was very good and we were kept well informed about any visits from the nurse, medical updates, dietary issues and any special activities organised for the residents, Covid permitting. The seniors are to be commended for arranging FaceTime calls and for the friendly manner in which they helped us navigate through such difficult times. All the very best moving forward.
Coton House Care Home came highly recommended by a friend whose parents and aunt had all been residents, so when it suddenly became necessary to find a residential setting for Mum then Coton House was our first choice. Although Mum has only been a resident for eight weeks we can see that she is starting to settle into her new surroundings. Her general level of anxiety and agitation is very much reduced and the care team has been able to establish an improved sleep pattern which is contributing to Mum’s wellbeing. I feel that Mum is in safe hands with the care team and am very grateful for the kindness and attention they are giving to my very frail and elderly mum.
When Mom was admitted to Coton House Care Home I had received a call prior to Mom's arrival there to explain everything involved with her care which was very assuring. The care Mom received was very good, especially as Mom can be extremely challenging at times. The manager was very accommodating when approached with a phone call to arrange a visit or to see how Mom was doing. I was very impressed all round with Mom's experience.
My mother went to stay at Coton House in December last year due to her dementia. All the staff I have dealt with have been caring, professional and made my mother's last few months comfortable. I have no hesitation in recommending Coton House for residential stay and thank all the staff for looking after my mother so well.
Although I have of course not seen Mum due to covid for 4-months, I have spoken with her regularly. She appears to be content. Care staff are looking after her well; I believe. It is difficult to give a complete review of the circumstances.
I would like to thank all the staff of Coton House for the care and support over a very difficult year. They have gone above and beyond in their care for our mother and have kept us informed on a regular basis.
I was always very happy with all aspects of care given to my great aunt. The staff were wonderful, especially in these difficult times, always kind, helpful and approachable. We were kept informed at all times of my great aunt's wellbeing.
