View Full Details of Parkdale Residential Care HomeMy family and I visited the home today to see my mum and to join in party celebrations. Mum enjoyed the lovely food, and the staff were very, very attentive towards the residents and visitors. Everyone appeared to enjoy the activities. Thank you to all, and as we left, I think Karaoke was about to start.
My Mother receives excellent care/support and treated with dignity. She has a good balanced soft diet. The staff are excellent and polite, with great respect for my Mother. The care home is always clean and well maintained. It has an excellent management and owners, who are caring, thoughtful, patient, kind and lovely people. A very warm friendly environment. Safety and security is excellent. I have no problem at all with any issues. The food is very good. Overall standard is excellent. Everyone is made welcome and looked after.
When I visit my mother-in-law, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are warm and welcoming, I am greeted by name and always directed to where my mother-in-law is sitting. The staff fetch a chair and offer a warm drink to consume during the visit. My mother-in-law is treated with respect and dignity, the staff always have time for the residents no matter when I visit and how busy they are. In my opinion, Parkdale consistently offers a personal touch to residents and their families by the management team and the care staff. Specific dietary requirements and preferences are catered for and alternative meal options are always available. Staff are always smiling, taking the time to get to know the residents, respecting their level of needs and care required. I am confident that my mother-in-law is happy and cared for like a member of their family. I have received consistent communication from the staff to make me aware of any additional support that is required.
Couldn't ask for better. Prior to Mom being offered care here she was visited in respite by a manager to see if the care home was suitable for her needs and I was contacted to discuss this. From the first day, Mom has been looked after so well. I am overwhelmed by the friendliness, professionalism, attention and personal involvement the staff provide on a daily basis. If Mom has additional needs in her care I am always contacted and consulted and if required to give my consent. The interaction between staff and residents is so wonderful to see. Mom's room is always clean and tidy every time I visit. Catering is discussed if required and a suitable diet is always offered on an individual basis. I can't thank the staff enough for the endless smiles they have and the lovely interaction with my family whenever we visit. I can say overall that I am just amazed by the level of support and care Mom gets. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
My mum has been a resident of this care home from August and since then we have been very pleased with the standard of care she had received, and the dignity she has been treated with. All staff members are kind and considerate, working hard to get her settled in and comfortable, and nothing is too much trouble. We feel well informed at all times, and would recommend this care home to any family.
My mum has been in this care home since June 2022 and I can only praise all of the staff that work there. They really do care, my mum needed to adapt to being in a home and they worked with Mum and myself to settle her in. It was a difficult time for us but with their help, care, and support my mum is really happy. She has made friends and they have helped her get into a routine. What was a very stressful time became more manageable with all the support and help they have given, and still do. We feel extremely lucky that we found this home, they are always so happy and take time out to have the chats with you - it really is a feel-good factor home and all of the staff are lovely. I will add they are always cleaning and tidying and the residents are very well looked after.
After having a stroke my father moved to a couple of other homes prior to finally making the move to Parkdale. We visited Parkdale and was shown everywhere, nowhere was off limits. My father is intolerant to gluten and Parkdale has made sure he has been catered for with all meals, food is exceptional. Staff are lovely and always make residents and visitors feel at home, residents also aren’t just left, at Parkdale they have music sessions and quizzes to keep residents entertained. My dad always says Parkdale is 5 stars, I cannot praise them enough, very approachable and knowing this is one less worry, knowing he is being looked after and he is happy means the world, thanks for what you do.
My uncle had to be placed in a safe setting following a safeguarding referral by the family to local social services. I had knowledge of care homes having been a reviewing officer previously before retiring. We had to find an adequate residential placement within a limited time. A search showed Parkdale as good on inspection report. We contacted the manager and visited the same day. On arrival we were met and shown round different rooms. The setting was clean, well presented, and no lingering smells as witnessed at other establishments. Since my uncle's arrival he's settled well with the staff and interacts well with them. He's encouraged to eat and put on 10lbs. He's encouraged to undertake as much self-care as possible. He was at the previous home bed bound, however after being assessed by a visiting nurse from practice is now walking on a frame supported by two carers. The staff interact with visitors and are open to questions and explain fully the residents' care needs.
My dad has recently moved from another care home to Parkdale, what a difference. Parkdale scores ten out of ten in everything, they have made my dad so welcome and really been there to support all his needs. Nothing is too much trouble, the encouragement and care Parkdale gives is exceptional. The place is spotlessly clean and all staff are very attentive and polite. I can finally sleep easy knowing my dad is finally getting the best care possible. Thank you so much.
Staff are friendly and motivated. Managers are often about, chatting to residents. They gave my friend good support in moving from previous accommodation, and continue to be available and helpful in ways beyond what I would have expected. This has made such a difference and is really appreciated. There is a positive atmosphere, the food is good and the home is clean. It is well-placed and easy to access by public transport.
Food is good. Carers are sympathetic, friendly and caring.
Very pleased with Parkdale Care Home, nice surroundings, clean, No smells. Staff all very nice. Bus stop is right outside from town centre, Management very approachable.
