View Full Details of Birchams Grange Residential HomeI have had a really happy time - marvellous food, great care and I look forward to visitng again next year.
Care and facilities are excellent. Staff couldn't be more caring and helpful. Father's room is a little small but was made available at short notice.
Mum has been at Birchams Grange for two years and I have always found the care to be of the highest standard. It is refreshing to see the staff encourage residents to get involved in activities, trips and entertainment. The staff always appeared to be committed and motivated towards residents' care and always have a friendly welcome and smile for families visiting. Birchams Grange have a great team.
Always a welcome from lovely, friendly staff. It is never a problem to visit at short notice and always find the resident looking clean, tidy and well cared for. Great that I can take my dog to visit too. The resident gains great pleasure from this. The home is very well run and we feel lucky to have the resident residing here. Thank you.
My friend has settled in very well. I am very pleased to see her in good spirits and well cared for.
My family member has been a resident at Birchams Grange for several years and has been very well looked after. During my visits, the atmosphere in the home has always been a busy, friendly and caring place. It is always nice and warm in Winter with a high standard of décor, very clean and fresh. The meals are tasty, and there is a well-cared-for garden with an enclosed patio including outdoor furniture to sit out, enjoying good weather with coffee and cake or afternoon tea. I have always been impressed with the standard of healthcare at Birchams Grange, keeping me well informed, and the management of the recent Covid outbreak was excellent. The staff are amazing, very kind, friendly, and happy to chat, although they are always busy! Trips out are arranged, eg. to see the beautiful bluebells flowering on the slopes of the hills in Spring or to a meal out locally. It is also possible to walk to the nearby woodland café for a change of scenery.
An outstanding standard of care. The staff are overwhelmingly kind and genuinely caring. My mother is living a happy and dignified latter stage in her life, and my brother and I have been greatly comforted to know she is so well cared for. We have complete confidence in the management and the standard of care.
My experience with Birchams Grange has been incredibly positive. It was a hard and emotional decision to put family into care, but the managers and team have made it as smooth as possible. I am very satisfied with the care for Mum, she is settled, looks beautifully presented and I know she is safe. The staff treat her with respect and speak to her as a valued person with humour and fondness. There have been a few minor teething issues with Mum settling in due to her dementia and huge change in living conditions but the communication and support has been great. I feel confident we all have the same aim of making sure Mum has the best quality of life possible. Although the care is predominantly for Mum, I feel supported too and I am certain and thankful that this is the right home for my mum.
The staff here have been so kind and thoughtful during my mother's time here. Her mobility has improved and all the staff are patient and understanding and have all taken the time to get to know her properly which, as a family, means so much to us.
I highly recommend this small, friendly care home, which is immaculately clean and fresh at all times, with dedicated well-trained staff who are the kindest, warmest people whose aim is the happiness, well-being, safety and dignity of all residents. There is a real team spirit and a happy culture. My father has lived there for almost a year. He settled in very quickly and is extremely happy. Meals are home-cooked by a small team led by a wonderfully caring cook who produces lovely well-balanced meals, and fantastic cakes! Much of the food is sourced locally. The days are well-organised, with lots of activities to suit all interests, and a nice daily rhythm coordinated by a dedicated and fun staff member alongside the care team. The managers are outstanding, with a hands-on approach. They are close to all residents and communicate well with their families. The care offered allows residents as much independence as possible, whilst recognising when assistance is needed.
