My friend has been at Charnwood for 2 and a half years, has a lovely en suite room that is always clean and tidy. There is a warm, friendly community of residents and staff that have been kind and supportive. Lots going on. Fabulous food and flexible compassionate care.

We have been very impressed with the level of service at Charnwood County Residence. When we visit our grandma, it is clear that all the residents are well looked after, offered a variety of activities throughout the day, and by all accounts the food is great! The home is spotlessly clean and the gardens are maintained to a high level. We really enjoy the updates on Facebook from the staff, and enjoy seeing our grandma happily getting involved in bingo, painting, flower arranging - to name a few. We also like how the residents are offered a trip out of the home to places across Herefordshire, with the staff taking in to account places which might hold a special meaning to a resident. Her room is light and airy, and always very clean. We are so pleased to have found Charnwood, and would recommend to others.

Mum has settled in well and made friends. She enjoys taking part in the bingo sessions, on a Thursday afternoon, painting the pictures provided and arranging flowers. The trips out to various locations are very much enjoyed especially to areas that are local to were she lived and garden centres. The family are always made to feel welcome especially when we joined her for her 90th birthday. The staff are very caring and Charnwood Country Residence is a home that we would recommend to anyone looking to the future for a family member.

I have been extremely pleased with the care my mother in law has received since arriving at this wonderful care home. She has settled in well, with all of her needs catered for. The home has a lovely relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and I would thoroughly recommend Charnwood Country Residence.

My grandma has been a resident at Charnwood Country Residence for some time now, and we are so pleased that she is so happy there. Her room is clean, light and airy; she enjoys the multitude of activities set out (which are engaging and inclusive) and she really enjoys her trips out in the mini bus to visit local attractions and locations of special interest to the residents. In December, the staff couldn't have been more supportive of our request to give grandma a 90th birthday tea party, providing both the food and a room for the family to sit and celebrate. Charnwood is a special place, and I would highly recommend to others.

I am so pleased that my elderly friend is being cared for to very high standards. I cannot express from the moment I walk through the main reception at Charnwood Country Residence, there is a great atmosphere and it just confirms what a caring and wonderful care home this is. They include all the residents, in what ever disability they have, in so many activities to keep the residents happy and motivated too. The catering staff serve up some amazing food from breakfast through to tea time and there is always plenty of tea and coffee too with a biscuit or cake during the course of the day, this includes birthday cakes for the residents too. All staff are so loving and go above and beyond and treat the residents as one big family. There is just one word I would add to this and that is Charnwood is amazing.

My mum has been at Charnwood Country Residence for 2 years. She is very well cared for by wonderful staff in top class accommodation. She thoroughly enjoys all the activities and days out. She also enjoys being able to get out in the garden and help with the vegetable trugs. I visit most Saturdays and am always made very welcome.

There was a lovely atmosphere, the home was decorated beautifully and they residents had lots of activities to do. Everyone is included, whatever their abilities and everyone seems happy. I would recommend this home to my family and friends.

The Charnwood Country Residence team care about their residents. My mother moved to Charnwood in Spring 2020. The staff are kind and attentive. The management team take time to get to know the residents and react swiftly to queries and concerns. As a non-local family member, I particularly appreciate the regular newsletters and social media updates. We did a great deal of research before selecting Charnwood and are very pleased with the choice that we made.

Charnwood Country Residence take wonderful care of my aunt. She is very well looked after and comfortable and safe. The staff are very helpful and always are on hand to help out when needs be. I am very happy with Charnwood.

Charnwood Country Residence is fantastic, a wonderful place. Full of amazingly fabulous staff, always a great atmosphere there, the residents seem to love being there and are loved by all staff. Also the foods wonderful, very lucky residents.

What an amazing Care Home Charnwood Country Residence is. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming, and the home has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Mum has been a resident for 2 years now, and considers Charnwood as her home. She takes part in all of the activities which is overseen by an amazing activities co-ordinator, who goes out of her way to encourage residents to join in. Mum especially enjoys the day trips, playing bingo, and flower arranging. It is a great comfort to us as a family, knowing mum is being well looked after and all her needs met, and we would highly recommend this special care home.

Having looked at a number of care homes in the area and not being impressed, Charnwood Country Residence gave me confidence the minute I stepped through the door and was welcomed by the deputy manager. The orangery or the communal lounge is bright and looks out onto the garden. The furniture is uniform, bright and clean. Personal rooms are the same as is all corridors and bathrooms. The activities are amazing, executed lovingly by the activities coordinator who I could not praise enough. When my time comes, I would love to end my days in Charnwood.

My father has been in Charnwood Country Residence for six weeks now. From the start, I have been impressed with all the staff who provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. During his stay, they have identified and solved problems to make it easier for him to settle in. The team is well led and it is interesting to see that all members of staff multitask to help each other in their roles. When my mother and I visit, we are made to feel welcome and are given regular updates on my father's care. Most importantly, I feel my father is in a safe and caring environment which helps to allay my family's anxiety about having to place him into a care home.

The facility is comfortable, smells free, airy and light. The atmosphere is very homely and welcoming. My Father was extremely happy here and was planning to return after his operations, even consenting to sell his home of 44 years. Naturally, all of this was due to the staff and activity organiser in particular who made his stay so wonderful, poetry reading, painting, excursions, and a planned "chair-cycle ride" to Jon O Groats!

Charnwood Country Residence is an excellent example of how all care homes should be run. Having had dealings with other homes in the past, what a breath of fresh air this one is. The staff make a fantastic effort to get to know each resident individually and provide activities geared to their interests. All staff are welcoming to visitors and take the time to chat about their loved ones and address any concerns swiftly. Although my friend was only here for a short while, I'm pleased to say the last few weeks of his life were bestowed with affection and care from these wonderful staff at Charnwood.

Charnwood is now a welcome extension of our own family. All the staff are so loving and caring and my mum is very happy. As a daughter of an Alzheimer's sufferer, I have also been incredibly grateful for the caring support the staff have given me. They are so understanding and sensitive to the whole family's needs. Thank you, Charnwood.

Mum has been a resident since October 2022. The Manager and staff were very supportive when I went through the funding process. I really feel there is a partnership with the staff myself and my mum. The food appears to be locally sourced during a recent visit I saw a sack of potatoes delivered from a farm less than 10 miles away and boxes of fresh vegetables. Although Mum does not take part in any activities, she is really happy there.

I am so pleased my elderly friend with dementia is being cared for at Charnwood. I cannot express enough what a caring and wonderful care home this is. They have so many activities to keep the residents happy. The catering staff serve up some delicious food and birthday cakes. The residents are so happy and cared for, it’s worth every penny.

Charnwood is an amazing place. I’m so glad my dad is here. There are constant activities and celebrations for him to join in with if he chooses to and the surroundings are well-maintained. But most of all they build real connections and relationships with all of the residents. Thanks Charnwood for everything you do.
