View Full Details of Breach HouseOverall very pleased with the care Mum has received at Breach House. Would be better if there were more residents, would create a livelier atmosphere.
My sister and I moved our mom into Breach House Care Home after being unhappy with her previous home. It was the best decision and we are very happy with her care and surroundings. All the staff go above and beyond and our mom is so much happier in herself. We feel very fortunate to have found such a good and caring home for our mom.
The location and overall environment are lovely, quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Staff are very attentive and caring, and this is a great reassurance to me and the rest of the family. With so few residents currently, it's very quiet, and the addition of new residents would enhance the atmosphere and social environment, including activities.
Caring, compassionate, helpful, considerate and welcoming. Do a great job looking after my mum.
My experience of Breach House has been excellent. We have found it to be clean, well equipped and homely. Dad has settled really well, despite not wanting to go into residential care. He has found the care to be really good and is obviously enjoying the social interaction he didn't have at home. We were recommended to Breach House for respite care, but we have since decided Dad is much safer and happier here and have decided to make his stay permanent. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to other people.
My mum has been a resident at Breach House for three years. During that time, her mobility has decreased and her needs have increased. All the staff at the home, care for her with the utmost professionalism. She is treated with dignity and consideration and in addition to our weekly visits, the staff always keep me informed of any changes to her well being. I have the utmost confidence in the decisions made concerning my mum's care and the staff always discuss any concerns they may have, with me.
An excellent care home with the highest standards of professional nursing and with a happy, lively atmosphere. The management is professional and well developed, leading a very caring and organised team. I have been impressed with Breach House and would recommend it without hesitation.
I am involved in "care" and have been for over 10 years so I am aware of most care homes in the area. When it came to finding a care home for my mother I knew it had to be Breach House. The residents are well cared for with dignity at all times. The staff are friendly, caring, patient and considerate to residents and their family or friends. I would have recommended Breach House to others.
Have always found the staff to be very friendly and informative to questions asked.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Breach House since Feb 2020. The staff and the quality of care they provide are excellent, she's treated with such kindness and dignity. We are so pleased that we found Breach House after looking at a few other homes in the area this one was outstanding the best obvious choice. My mother-in-law is happy and settled always smiling when we visit her and is always apparent that her needs are being more than met. The staff have done a fantastic job during these difficult Covid times. We are so grateful and will never be able to thank them enough.
My mum needs 24/7 care due to severe dementia. Due to Covid restrictions, it has been hard to visit as regularly as I would like. However, I have no concerns about my mums care. She is as happy and content as she can be with dementia. I have always felt welcome and there is always someone to speak to and answer my questions. My mum is always clean and tidy. The home is also kept very clean and the staff are friendly.
Generally very good care. Quickly recognise needs and get G.P to check dad. Clean and pleasant atmosphere. Communicate well. Staff always friendly and communicate well.
I have nothing but praise for all the staff at Breach House. Their care towards my mum was excellent and the care mum received and we received towards the end of mums life was exceptional.
Location is good. Parking adequate. Access/security good. Cleanliness is excellent. Decor is good. Staff friendly.
Mum was put in Breach House for emergency respite care last November. When the decision was made that mum needed permanent care, she was clear she wanted to stay at Breach House. After being very frightened at the idea of being in a "home", she had really settled. So far I cannot imagine my mum being in a better place, now she needs 24hours support.
My mother has recently died, 3 weeks before her 100th birthday, as a resident at Breach House since February 2014. My husband and I have visited her over 500 times over that period, and have NEVER seen anything at all that has concerned or upset us in any way, with regard to the happenings at Breach House and have only very good things to say about the staff and carers. We are both elderly and my husband and I have joked with the Principal that we may be booking in there ourselves in due course as we are so very impressed with the whole set up at Breach and would be more than happy to spend our last days there.
When you and your family have to make the decision about your loved one and full time care, you wish with all your heart that they will be looked after with the love, care, respect and dignity that they deserve. We found all of this at Breach House! Thank you to all of the staff and management for your dedication!
When I first signed the contract for mummy to stay at Breach House I felt like I had signed her life away and was pretty upset. The Manager took me in her office, gave me a huge hug and told me to just wait & see ... She couldn't have been more right! After a couple of weeks mum was playing bingo, snap with another resident, having singalongs with the musicians that come in on a regular basis and doing exercises! She has always been a social character & very rarely spends time in her spacious room (where she has a lot of her own furniture & paintings), she prefers the company of the other residents and staff who couldn't be more helpful or caring. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, from ensuring mums visitors have tea & biscuits/cake when they come to visit to doing their nails and hair to make them feel special. I know that at Breach House my mum is being truly cared for, I can visit on a daily basis at any time & now when she comes out with me after a few hours she looks at her watch and says "isn't it time to go home now?"
A lovely home in beautiful surroundings. The care provided for my mother was fantastic - she was fortunate to be able to walk in, and beyond, the confines of the home and grounds at Breach House which gave her a feeling of independence. My mother was in good health and she did not suffer from dementia or Alzheimers. She found it difficult to find companionship with the residents in the home and preferred to spend time in her room. This, however, is not a criticism of Breach House staff in any way. Simply that mother was a very independent soul and had lived on her own for over 20 years before moving to Breach House at the age of 98. Initially, mother did not need any close personal care, but during the last few months she was totally dependent on the staff. The commitment, love, time and understanding all the staff showed to my mother could not be faulted. The staff were superb. During mother's last week at the home, she was kept spotlessly clean, fresh and totally at peace with her surroundings. Almost every time I visited, a member of staff was with her and she could not have received more attentive care. I shall remain eternally grateful that mother died in her room with music being played and was totally at peace.
