View Full Details of Chandos LodgeI absolutely love visiting my Nan here I am made to feel welcome and part of the Candos Lodge family with a cup of tea available and a friendly face and smile. I was initially petrified of the thought of my Nan going to a care home but the team has not let me down and been fabulous.
I enjoy when visiting that the staff are always doing their best entertaining and keeping residents engaged. Very welcoming, friendly environment.
No complaints from me. My Mum is treated with respect and dignity. The staff are pleasant and friendly. It wasn't easy having to visit my Mum like she is, but Chandos Lodge made me feel so relieved that she is being well cared for.
Excellent care and staff are always happy. No restricted visiting times day or night which makes it easier for family and friends that have other responsibilities or commitments. The manager is always accessible and welcoming to residents' family and friends, she's very involved and joins in with daily activities that residents are encouraged to join in with (or not ) this helps with mental stimulation, moments and communication. Large events are organised regularly that everyone is welcome to attend. Residents are also encouraged to make their beautiful bedrooms feel like home from home. As a daughter, I feel that my mum is very safe and happy, when she was living at home on her own even with carers going in 4 times a day my brother and I thought we were going to lose her, but now she is at Chandos Lodge she looks fantastic and they have given us back years to spend with her. Thank you everyone.
Could not choose a better home for my mom. Staff cannot do enough for the residents and their families. The place is beautiful and welcoming, and there is always an event organised for all the family. The staff go above and beyond for everything. They even made my mom's 80th birthday extra special with banners and a homemade cake. Would 100% recommend it to family and friends.
Chandos Lodge is a very homely place to live. It is one big family. All the residents are looked after very well. There are lots of activities and entertainment. There is always something to do, and nothing is too much trouble for management and staff. My mother is very happy here.
Wonderful home. All managers and staff very caring/helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Every resident cared for and their needs met with cake and kindness. I would highly recommend Chandos Lodge to any person who would like to consider full time care for their relative. Would 100% recommend? They are a great team, every resident treated like family!
I can not express how happy we all are with the outstanding care, dedication, support and joyfulness the management team and all the staff have brought to Mum. She's settled extremely well and her health and well-being has improved massively since she has been at Chandos Lodge. As a daughter, I feel so relived and happy, I'm so glad Mum is here. Everyone is so lovely, it's like a home from home. 5-star! Thank you.
From the first phone call enquiry to Chandos Lodge, I realised that I was engaging with a caring, professional and welcoming home. I can not fault the care my Mom has received during her stay at Chandos. The whole team work so well together, supportive of one another and generating a positive atmosphere of warmth, friendliness and care. The daily activities programme is fantastic - it is a joy to visit Mom and to see how she has been encouraged to get involved with all that's going on, from crafts to singing to even dancing. The recent Summer Fete is a great example of how Chandos Lodge 'goes the extra mile' to enhance the experiences for their residents. I have been informed immediately of any concerns the staff have had with Mom's well-being. I feel confident that Mom is in the best place to meet her needs at this time of her life.
Since my Mother moved to Chandos Lodge, when I have visited the staff has always been welcoming, friendly, and polite. The care home residents are well looked after by the carers. Residents enjoy a wide range of activities. I'm particularly impressed by both the care home managers and deputy manager and their leadership of the staff team, setting high standards of care for the residents.
Care home is clean and tidy. Staff are always at hand and are very helpful and friendly. They always go that extra mile to help you. Activities that are available to residents are excellent and very thought through. When Mum first came we didn't think she would participate in anything but she seems to really enjoy the activities and is very happy when joining in. The food is outstanding, very fresh and good portion size. Food presentation is exceptional. When we visit I noticed all residents have a drink to hand no matter where they are in the home. Overall we are really pleased with the care and everything that Mum receives.
The care is brilliant and the staff cannot do enough for visitors or the residents. The meals each day are of an outstanding quality and always differ every day. Could not recommend this care home enough!
The professionalism and care of both management and carers are only enlisted by their pleasant and welcoming attitude. To be cared for so well and by such a well-trained and family-like team has enhanced and raised the recovery of my brother. Thank you.
As my wife and I have been out of the country for the past 6 weeks I have been impressed with way Mum has been looked after by the staff at Chandos Lodge. The Manager and Staff make sure that I am kept updated with any changes to Mum's diet, medication and general well being. Whilst away we were able to keep in touch with the staff and keep them updated on our trip which in turn and most importantly they passed onto Mum so she was aware of where we were on our travels 'Down Under'. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming and we have seen first hand both before our trip and since returning from being abroad how well they look after and care for Mum. This is very important and reassuring to our family and for that we are extremely grateful.
As someone new to Hagley, I was very surprised and pleased with the atmosphere. At Chandos Lodge Care Home management and staff perform difficult tasks with certainty. More toilet facilities, please. Sometimes the cleanliness of the toilet blocks could be better.
Quality care delivered on a personal basis. My mother-in-law has thrived from being cared for at Chandos Lodge Care Home; her physical needs are met but the activities and interactions that the team at Chandos deliver go the extra mile in care. Very professional and dedicated staff led by a highly experienced manager - thank you. Safe and homely.
My mom has been in Chandos Lodge Care Home for just twelve months. During this time she has been very well cared for. The staff are all very polite and friendly and, from my visits, I can see that they care for the residents and all go the extra mile. There is plenty of activities for the residents which they all seem to get involved in, which is lovely, my mom enjoys bingo now! No complaints, a lovely care home and all their hard work is very much appreciated.
Mom has not been there long and this is our first experience of care but is very happy and, above all, she is safe. The staff are all very friendly and always make you feel welcome and nothing seems to be too much bother, even when they're busy they will always answer questions. I feel very lucky to have got my mom into Chandos Lodge Care Home having looked around other facilities and care settings. I always manage to get an appointment to see Mom or take her out and it's so much easier with the aid of the family log-in system to just be able to book myself in and a guest. She has been able to bring some things in from home for her bedroom which I know she loves to look at the photos we sent in. The security is very good, no one can just wander in and out which is very reassuring as mom's dementia gets worse it's definitely a big plus for me, also I'm kept informed of what's going on e.g. if the dentist is coming.
My twin sister has been living in Chandos Lodge Care Home for four years. At that time she was suffering from Alzheimer's and was not only bad-tempered but wandering off all the time. I was living abroad but I came back to the UK for two weeks to try and find somewhere for her. I chose Chandos after viewing five other care homes and have never regretted it. She appeared to change overnight once she was in there, reverting back to her previous happy self. I am back living in the UK and can now see her regularly and despite the fact she no longer knows who I am it is still a pleasure to go and see her. The staff at Chandos are all very welcoming - I am sure they know every visitor's name. They have always kept me fully informed even when I was abroad. Perhaps the highest accolade I can give them is what my sister said two weeks ago. We were in the conservatory when she suddenly said "Can I go back in with my family now". So Chandos is family - you can't get better than that.
I am so happy with Chandos Lodge Care Home: the staff are kind and caring and know and care about the residents as people, not service users. I love that the manager sends me pictures and even arranges video calls as phone calls get more difficult. The managers and staff are really good at keeping me up to date as well. I can highly recommend Chandos Lodge.
