View Full Details of The Lawns Care HomeMy sister lives at The Lawns and I often visit her to have lunch with her and to join in with activities. All the staff are fantastic and they make me feel welcome every time I visit. My sister is well cared for and she always tells me how caring and kind carers are. There are plenty of activities every day and also a lot of entertainers. We enjoy a little dance with everyone when there is a singer or a band playing live music. The food is amazing, always have a variety of food to choose from. The garden is really lovely and me and my sister love sitting there. I would highly recommend The Lawns to anyone.
My mum only went for a 'holiday' for a week to give my brother and sister-in-law a well-earned break... Loved it that much that she's stayed here ever since! I feel the best parts of The Lawns are not only the really quality rooms and gardens but the passion shown by the staff. The respect shown for my mum and her individual life choices is really rewarding as I've seen so many homes where this isn't the case (ex-ambulance so seen a lot). The food is really great, made onsite and of a decent quality and the activities offered are ace. The team leader takes the time to listen and offer a professional opinion when required and most importantly it is all, every time about my mum... What else could you possibly desire or need?
The care staff at The Lawns Care Home are patient with my dad and try their hardest to help him eat and drink, although has a small appetite in both departments. They also help him wash which, due to depression, he doesn't do independently. My sister and I will be eternally grateful to them. They are kind and caring.
Mom has been a resident at The Lawns for approx. 18 months. We are all very happy with her care and treatment at The Lawns. She is also very happy and content here. She enjoys the food and activities, it is always spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. The staff are always very kind and helpful to the residents and relatives both. I would thoroughly recommend The Lawns to everyone.
Mum has been a resident at The Lawns Alvechurch for almost 12 months and in that time she has received the most wonderful care and support in every possible way. The food is exceptional they cater for her needs very well as she is diabetic. Her room is extremely comfortable and has all that she requires. All the staff are supportive, caring and sympathetic towards mum and our family.
My mother was so happy during her short time here. Every effort was made to make her feel as though she were in her own home. If you want a home from home experience, this is the place.
Following a stroke, dad suffered from Vascular Dementia and needed care. Mum chose to remain with my dad and they became residents of The Lawns. Very sadly my mum passed away first, which was rather a shock, although she was 90 years old, leaving dad on his own. The staff at The Lawns were wonderful, they loved and cared for him so well, especially during the Covid lockdown when we weren't able to visit. They kept us informed on how dad was doing, allowed us to have video chats and passed on letters to him. Unfortunately, dad became unwell and was taken to hospital and was later discharged back to the loving care of The Lawns for his final hours, where they did everything possible to enable us to be with him. The staff were incredibly supportive at such a sad time, showed such love and understanding and maintained dad's dignity throughout. We cannot thank them enough. I would 100% recommend this wonderful care home and would like to thank all the staff and management for their care.
Mum has been at The Lawns for 2-years now, and I think that it has been a kind and welcoming home for her. Covid has caused some difficulties but the management, have managed to shield the residents from this virus. My only criticism is that I think communication with the families could be a little better, but they're busy, I know. The home has a lovely garden, and the staff try to offer a variety of things for the residents to do.
Having visited my Aunty on a regular basis she is very happy living at The Lawns. Aunty has been at The Lawns for several years. The new management team I can not fault, more approachable and the door is always open. I find the care staff very helpful and caring and look after her really well.
My mother, already frail and often ringing the neighbours whilst still in her own home at night, was about to be discharged from hospital following a fall. The Lawns helped immediately, I will always be grateful and my mother too. Now she's been there since December 2014, really settled. The staff - everyone - are always cheerful and positive. The food is great. The whole place is so clean. Lots of nice entertainments and friendship for residents. I can't fault this wonderful place.
The Lawns is like home from home for my mother. The staff are brilliant, always go the extra mile, they have a person-centred approach to each resident. My Mom is so lucky to have found a home like this, she went for two weeks respite and decided to become permanent after two days.
I can say without question that the level of care my mother receives from The Lawns is excellent and of a very high standard indeed. My mum was made to feel welcome from the very first day she arrived. All the staff are very friendly and of a very high standard.
Well looked after and cared for. Staff are always ready to help. Plenty of activities and things to do. A very clean home.
