Friendly staff. Always in care and they show support to the family. Wonderful place, home from home for all residents. Well cared for and loved.
My partner and I took my sister's presents to Newland Hurst. I am pleased to say there were strict covid-19 rules. There was no contact. My sister her usual happy safe. The other residents I saw were all cheerful and smiling. The care workers were their usual helpful and professional selves. The residence is clean, warm and peaceful. There are many varied activities for everyone and the management and staff have made excellent efforts to give activities during the pandemic. all residents look happy. When residents are ill they are well managed and cared for.
My youngest sister has been a resident at Newland Hurst Trust almost since its beginning, in the late 1970s, when she was sixteen. From the start, she has been happy here, living life to the full, classes in carpentry, art of all sorts, gardening, music and drama, and animal husbandry have been skilfully woven into the fabric of the merry community life. In addition, my sister has enjoyed fruitful classes at the nearby Further Education colleges, notably computer skills, caring for pets and cooking. Now she visits a care farm every Wednesday which she relishes more than words can express.
Much has been said of care homes over the years good and not so good. Yet Newland Hurst has remained consistent with highest standards of care maintained throughout and much of this can be attributed to its voluntary status as a charity. The management and staff whose increasing care and their willingness to go the extra mile for the residents has proved a success story.
My daughter appears settled and happy with both her accommodation and her care workers. We hope that she will continue this way and that Newland Hurst will continue to be her home in the future.
We were apprehensive, worried and very sad that my cousin had to move from home life to a care home but we couldn't have been in better hands. Newland Hurst is in a beautiful spot, the staff second to none. Endlessly patient, kind and always find time to talk to residents and family alike, to sort out any problems or to give reassurance. My cousin engages in the many activities, doing things he has never done before and enjoys it all enormously. He stays with me at intervals throughout the year - but is always anxious to return to his life at N.H. He and we are so lucky to have found such a special place with very special people who care and make life such a joy for the residents.
My brother has required a great deal of help and encouragement over the past 25 years at Newland Hurst. The staff there have always been cheerful, practical and encouraging and continue to give this excellent care. The principal has been careful to include and inform me about my brother's life at Newland and his "individual care plan" is the most professional I have ever seen. Thank you to everyone at Newland Hurst.
I am confident that the love my brother receives is excellent and thorough in every way. I fully commend the staff of Newland Hurst in the work they do.
My brother has lived at Newland Hurst for over 35years. Our mother died in 1994, so since then I have visited him on a regular basis, supported by my brothers, sister and other family members. My brother is happy and content. He is a valued member of Newland Hurst and regards it as his home. Standards have always been high, and the staff are most caring and professional. He needs and receives a lot of support. He has his own room and bathroom, which are clean and pleasantly decorated. In fact everywhere is kept beautifully. In the past he has enjoyed partaking in many activities provided by the staff and management, but now prefers a quieter life. He enjoys his meals, likes outings and attends the sacred hear church in Droitwich. Safe and secure, Newland Hurst is great value for money. Our family are delighted that he is at Newland Hurst.
