View Full Details of Northwick GrangeMy Mum has been at Northwick Grange since April and it's been a challenging time due to her dementia. The staff have made sure she's settled, medication addressed with the doctor, sorted podiatrist when needed, serve her beautiful home-cooked meal in her room when she doesn't want to go to the dining room, organise lovely activities and even tell her when music activity is on which she loves. So thoughtful and each individual need is attended to. We can relax and take comfort in Mum being cared for and her sometimes challenging times are never a problem, staff know how to deal with things. It's been a privilege to have Mum in this small, caring, family-like home. Thank you to all and especially those who make time in a hectic schedule to make Mum feel like she's the only resident there (when they're actually rushed off their feet) Highly recommended, 5 stars.
My mother has been a resident since July 2023 and from day one, the staff have been brilliant with her. Personally, I have a very good relationship with all members of staff, who constantly inform me of any issues relating to my mother's wellbeing. My mother has her own room, which is maintained to a high standard and has numerous photographs and mementos on display. The staff treat my mother with respect and consideration. The relationship between all members of staff and my mother is brilliant.
My mother-in-law has been a resident for the last 18 months and the staff made mom feel at home from the first day. They treat her with respect and with dignity. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they have built a very good relationship with her. The whole house feels like a family unit, they carry out their daily routines with care and to a professional standard.
Fabulous service from the carers. Nothing is too much trouble. Always trying new things to do with the patients to help keep them happy. Always get polite and helpful information when needed. When visiting always made welcome.
My mom is a resident here, and all I can really say is this place is outstanding, the care, the attention to detail. And my mom is so well cared for and looked after. And from what I see so are all the other residents. The staff all seem to actually care about their residents. And treat them all with the upmost respect. My one criticism is that they don't have Mom on an I.V. for her tea.
They take great care of my mom. I turn up unannounced and it's never a problem, which is so reassuring to find everything as it should be. My mom is a dementia patient, which is challenging for them I'm sure but staff go above and beyond to make sure her time here is as enjoyable as it can be. I'm happy my mom is here and have no hesitation in recommending.
Very warm and welcoming home, with plenty of resident interaction. They go above and beyond with the entertainment for the residents and safety is clearly paramount. The deputy manager is an asset to the home and has such a lovely relationship with my Auntie. Keep up the great work. We appreciate you all very much!
My aunt joined in November 2013 and ever since she's been there she seems settled more than she was, all staff are so friendly, warm and welcoming and put her mind at rest by reassuring her, she loves to help them out as she's so able, all staff are credit to the home, all rooms are always kept clean and homely and regular trips out too. Highly recommended.
My mother-in-law has settled lovely in your care, she has a lovely cosy room and we love seeing her being involved with all the activities you do with them. We love to see her dancing and having a sing-song with all the residents and care staff.
I would definitely recommend Northwick Grange, they all do a really good job and it's like a family vibe! They do a great job looking after all the residents especially my great auntie, keep going with the great work you are doing!
The staff at Northwick Grange are wonderful! They ensure that the residents are cared for and feel safe. They also have organised a number of activities to support the resident's stimulation and social inclusion; such as singers, music, and exercise. In addition they make family members feel welcome when we visit, and also have invited us to a number of events on Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter. Well done to one member of staff in particular and all of your staff!
From November my elderly mother who suffers with vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease has been a resident of Northwick Grange Care Home, what a godsend they have been for my mum she is loved cared for emotionally and physically she’s kept safe even though she’s declining in her mental capacity she is thriving at the home, nothing is too much trouble, she has her own room there are lots of activities for the residents to take part in the food is amazing the staff each and every one of them go far and beyond in caring for my mum and for that I will be eternally thankful, the management are easy to get on with and keep you very informed of what’s what the manager is lovely and my mother thinks a lot of her.
My Nan spent just over a year here at Northwick Grange and I’m so pleased she did. All aspects of her care were very good from all the staff. The care home has a nice relaxed feel to it and my family and I could visit whenever we wanted to. Nan’s first bedroom she was given when she arrived there was lovely. Her needs then changed and she was offered a ground floor bedroom which was also lovely. The staff really were fantastic with her. Nan loved to have a joke and they always joined in with her. The meals were great, a choice was offered, and lots of fruit with snack times. When I visited I was always offered too. Good range of activities and live performances from great singers etc. I know my nan was happy here and it made my visits to come and see her relaxed and happy reassuring knowing that.
At the age of 98, Mum was living on her own in Lancashire, and not able to look after herself any longer. Mum agreed to move to Worcester to live close to us. After visiting one or two care homes we immediately had a good feeling about Northwick Grange and felt so lucky that they had one vacant lovely room. The management and senior staff were so welcoming and Mum spent the next two years there being very well looked after. She enjoyed the home-cooked food, the entertainment, and the social activities. All the staff throughout were very caring, and helpful and made Mum's stay feel homely and comfortable, and I can't thank them enough. I would also like to thank the district nurses for their care and attention. On her 100th birthday, she had a wonderful party with lovely food and live entertainment. Many thanks to everyone and I would happily recommend Northwick Grange.
My mother was moved to Northwick Grange in March 2021 where she quickly settled in. She enjoyed the home-cooked food and socialising in the lounge. Mum had a lovely room with a view and staff responded quickly and efficiently when she needed assistance. There was nothing the staff would not do to make her time at Northwick Grange as comfortable as it could be. The management and staff were amazing, their care and professionalism were second to none particularly in her final days.
My father was moved into Northwick Grange following a hospital visit as a temporary measure, while we went through the process of deciding what was best for him long term. We could not fault the care. He was happy and comfortable throughout his stay and came out a lot healthier and although now in a permanent care home elsewhere, he is so much better for his time at Northwick Grange.
My mother is safe and well looked after. Her bedroom is bright and cosy. All of the staff look after the residents with care, compassion, professionalism and a sense of humour. There are protected, communal meal times and very relaxed visiting hours.
Mum lived in Northwick Grange for approximately 1 year and 10 months, but her medical needs have increased so she is now awaiting a nursing home place. The Grange has a lovely ambience and the garden is lovely to look at. The rooms are comfortable, the food and drink good and the staff do a very good job in very over-stretched and busy circumstances and have always been lovely with Mum and us. Entertainment excellent too. My only reservations are the use of commodes (although I wouldn't be able to suggest an alternative, sometimes) and the level of busyness meaning Mum has sometimes been wet or dirty for a while before being taken to the loo. I can't blame the staff though. Can I make a suggestion? Is it possible to solicit volunteer help, perhaps to provide 'friends' to chat to or sit with individual residents?
Excellent staffing. Food and a very warm atmosphere to the home. As a family member, I am more than happy and on the two/three times there has been an issue, it has been sorted promptly and professionally. Recommend the home any time.
Most importantly for me is that the staff are caring and professional, there are activities for Mum to do or opt out of should she wish. The home is bright and lean. District nurses available 24/7.
