View Full Details of Regent Residential Care HomeMum has been in Regent Residential Care Home for some years now, she will be 100 in 10 days, and although bedbound she does have some quality of life given by all of the staff at Regent, my brother and I are eternally grateful the team here are amazing, I shopped around before moving Mum and this was our fab option for Mum she fitted in straight away.
My parents relocated to Regents, St Johns, Worcester from Torquay very early January, so this was a massive event for them both being in their mid-80s and with health issues. There was a bit of confusion with transport but all this was quickly solved with the Regents Manager making the decision to do the trip himself. All went smoothly and parents safely arrived at Regents. My parents and myself have been made to feel most welcome at Regents and feel confident my parents will be happy in their new home. It wouldn't be fair to favourably mention staff, but they know who they are. All staff have been caring and pleasant. Gold star to Regents House!
Having recently had Dad into a care home it has given me confidence that he is well looked after and safe which for a long time has been a big worry. Regents have done a great job of settling him in. Thank you.
Mum has been at Regent Residential Care Home for five months. We are amazed at how she has settled. Mum was very anxious and often agitated due to her dementia, however she is happy and relaxed at Regent. The staff are fantastic, so friendly and caring, Mum loves them. There is always something going on and Mum regularly enjoys trips out. Keep up the great work!
In general my stay at Regent House has been satisfactory marred in my opinion by a shortage of staff. Problem with recruitment or finances I don't know. Too much is asked from the staff there are and therefore because I'm unable to move around I need two helpers and often have to wait as long as an hour or even more to go to the toilet. Medical help is not easily available - district nurse etc, the laundry and cleaner are very good, friendly. I do need them to keep my room in order as I like it. Always a choice of food and a frequent cup of tea is good. The manager is very approachable, listens, and acts when I've had to say the part.
Went to see my best friend's wife. Have been in a lot of homes but this was the best, lovely caring people, was very impressed. Thank you.
I researched & visited a lot of care homes before opting for Regent. It stood out - mainly for the calibre of the staff. On my initial visit (unannounced), I met the management team and saw other staff in action. All gave me their time selflessly, were effortlessly friendly & answered all of my questions brilliantly. My Dad has been there for 2 weeks and I have to say I am utterly delighted with how it's panning out. Regent exhibits a calm, can-do attitude that is hugely comforting. They are attentive & seem to genuinely want to get to know my Dad in order to help him in the best ways possible. I personally approach gushing reviews with a bit of scepticism, but Regent has truly delivered beyond my hopes and expectations. It's easy to criticise poor service but so much harder to praise without sounding insincere. But the care of a loved one is about as personal as a service can get: I can only applaud & be grateful for what Regent are achieving on a daily basis. It's truly impressive.
Always really friendly service. The staff are top-notch, working in extremes an for very poor money. I really appreciate all everybody does! Thank you!
Very happy with every aspect of my dad's care. We asked if the lampshades I bought could be put up but the electrician needs to come to finish the last one! I do my dad's washing now though as no one checks for paper tissues in the pockets so all his clothes are covered in bits. Simply the pockets should be emptied, simples!
Excellent care home, very pleased with everything you do for my mum.
Regent Residential Care Home is a home-from-home. My father feels safe, secure and well cared for. The staff are all very caring and considerate of each resident's individual needs.
Lovely care home with lovely staff, always clean and tidy. My nan is happy and lovely to see photos of all the activities that are put on for the residents.
I have been visiting weekly for over a year now and I think the home is excellent. Nothing is too much for the staff and the place is always clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend the home to others.
So very pleased with the care and support my mum and my aunty have received since having to move to Regent Care Home. The staff become part of our family, showing love and understanding of residents' needs. Regent is an extension of home! My only concern, which is I believe being addressed, is sometimes food is inedible and cold! Having said that, it is not every day.
My mum was very well looked after. She could have time in her room or mix in the lounge rooms. She enjoyed trips out and playing soft skittles. The staff were very kind. The only criticism would be the food was cold but I have put this further down on the review.
I find the care staff excellent and very sympathetic at difficult times for me. The entertainment can vary but are usually good. The food could be better and the serving of it could be improved. Overall I am happy to be here.
Staff are very caring and lovely to be around. I cannot fault the care they bestowed on my mother. They also support the families of their residents. They are so kind and show genuine respect and concern. While my mum was in their care, the family had peace of mind and she was always happy and well cared for.
My mother is 102 years old next Sunday, she has been at Regent Residential for the last 10 years and has been very happy there. All staff are kind and caring and go the extra mile to make residents feel special. Food and cleanliness are excellent. Although my mother does not join in many activities, there are so many available, including trips to garden centres, seaside and cafes. In all, a first-rate care home.
This place is absolutely brilliant. It's never nice when our parents have to go into residential care but my Mum's dementia had got too bad for her to be safe in her flat even though it was sheltered accommodation. Mum was rather overwhelmed and confused to begin with but every single member of staff made her feel welcome and she soon settled. The rooms are a good size and Mum's looks out over onto the beautiful garden. The food is obviously very good as mum eats everything that is put in front of her, and has put on a decent amount of weight after it plummeted from her not eating properly at home despite me getting her shopping every week. There are loads of activities for the residents to do and Mum appears to be embracing these very enthusiastically. The team leaders keep me informed of everything that goes on with Mum, which has been fantastic recently while I have been struck down by stupid Covid again so have not been able to visit. I'm so happy that Mum is in Regent.
After a somewhat difficult start, Mum seems to have settled at Regent Residential Care Home. My experience of the staff has been nothing but positive and Mum enjoys the various activities that are provided. I'm happy to know she's in a place where she's safe and well looked after. My only small negative observation is the smell of the first-floor unit and the call alarms that seem to be constantly activated.
