View Full Details of Westmead Residential Care HomeThe home is always lovely and welcoming. My uncle has really settled and it is a home to him, the staff are very friendly, they go above and beyond. Talking to the clients, making cups of tea. My uncle has a laugh with them, it's like they are his extended family, I am very happy knowing that he is happy and being well cared for.
The home is very homely & friendly every time we come to visit we are made very welcome. My uncle is well looked after and if we have any concerns, we only have to ask and it is always dealt with. The staff are all so very nice, it's like a big happy family.
I was anxious and afraid of where I was going when moving into Westmead but on stepping foot through the door was put at ease, made welcome and looked after. I felt safe and no longer vulnerable. Medical issues I ca with are improving with daily treatment from staff topped with visits from the district nurse. I am mentally in a better place and starting to care about myself again. I'm not as only lonely as I was with contact with staff and family activities for those wishing to join it.
My husband has been in Westmead since Sept 2023, he is very happy & well looked after, he has been encouraged to make the best life he can He is a Ecologist / Herpatoligist by trade & has used his knowledge to hold regular wildlife classes with support from friends and the acivities worker. He had respite at several local care homes and it stood out as the best. The staff keep me up to date on his progress & are quick to lt me know if any issues arise. I would not want him to be anywhere else - Westmead rocks!
Absolutely brilliant care. They make it feel like a home from home. Food is excellent and nutritious. They not only look after the residents, but also their families and we were made welcome at anytime. Probably the best part is their activities. They entertain residents throughout the day with both groups and one to one activities. They encourage residents families to take part in all activities and for this I am eternally grateful. The care staff go way beyond their job requirements and the home is kept absolutely spotless. It may not be the most modern home in Droitwich, but it certainly feels like home.
Mom is cared for by professional, caring & thoughtful members of staff, who we trust & admire. Mom has been at Westmead for nearly two years & there is no doubt her quality of life & companionship has vastly improved. - Thank you
My husband has been at Westmead for over a year and I have always found the staff to be extremely caring and friendly. He is well looked after, clean and enjoys his food. There are activities which help to keep him stimulated and although he does not join in everything he is encouraged to do so.
We've been very impressed with the standard of care at Westmead; the staff all seem to genuinely care about the health and wellbeing of the residents, and our half sister has been well looked after. The food and activities are good too and she has been very happy here, which is a joy to see. We would definitely recommend Westmead to anyone looking for a safe, comfortable and caring place for their relative.
Whenever we visit, my half-sister always seems to be very happy and well-fed. The staff seem to be very caring and attentive. We receive information if she has a fall or anything similar, which is very reassuring.
We have full peace of mind knowing that my parents are getting the best of care at Westmead Residential Care Home. The staff always go the extra mile. They have both flourished due to the variety of activities and the care from the staff.
Excellent home. Decor, cleanliness, general atmosphere. Lovely range of activities and brilliant activities coordinator. Garden is lovely - best I've seen in a care home. Much better than a similar type of care home I've seen in North-West England. All together a superior experience!
I cannot thank the staff enough for the excellent care my mum received at Westmead. This was our first experience of respite and I was really worried but I was put at ease. I phoned after but never felt like I was hindering the staff and they always had time to talk and tell me what Mum had been doing. I also loved the photos I received when we collected her.
We are lucky to have found Westmead. Staff friendly, helpful and always cheerful, keen to help both residents and visitors. We were put at ease. Food was good and healthy, all usually eaten. Drinks being brought around on a regular basis. Rooms always clean and tidy. My wife went on trips on the minibus local beauty spots. She enjoyed the fete and many activities, of which there are many. On visiting we sat out in the garden which is well maintained. We will use again in the future with apprehension. Thank you very much.
My partner was on a week-long respite break. We were treated well and respectfully. The staff were polite and friendly and helped my partner to settle despite a few initial teething problems. They dealt with challenges appropriately, and I was kept informed throughout the stay. I would definitely consider Westmead for future respite breaks.
My Mother had a very pleasant time in Westmead for me to have a holiday. I had peace of mind knowing her needs were going to be well cared for.
Westmead is a wonderful place. The staff were amazing with my grandma always going above and beyond to help us with literally anything. Kate the entertainment organiser did a fantastic job at keeping everyone busy and entertained and it was so lovely to see her doing 1 to 1 with them as and when she could. And Porche the manager was like no other. The staff treated grandma as if she were their own family member. Grandma was well and truly looked after here by an incredible team! And we could never thank them enough for everything they did for her and us as a family.
My husband came here for respite care for a few days. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the facilities are very good. Food was tasty and he was given the option of eating in his room or in the dining room. He would be happy to stay here again.
I visit two to three times a week, I always find my mother clean and happy with her care. The activities are outsanding, a lot of thought goes into them. My mother seems well fed, there is always tea and coffee coming round. The staff are very friendly and very nice to my mum and me. I'm glad I chose Westmead.
Lovely caring staff. My husband couldn't be looked after anywhere else. All care excellent. Staff interact beautifully. Nothing too much trouble. He loves them all. And if he is happy we are. Thank you all.
Residents treated with respect, kindness, and wonderful care. So many activities to keep residents busy, mobile, and connected to the outside world. Visits to museums, and stately homes. Visits to markets and shopping centres. Gentle walks along the river to see and hear the birds. Visits by children from local schools. Concerts from local singing groups. As well as pampering sessions for their well-being. Quizzes to help with memory. Art for joy and satisfaction. All this and wonderful staff.
