View Full Details of Barchester Field House Care HomeMum went in for post op care in Oct 24 and she has Alzheimer's. Field House was highly recommended by a friend of mum's who has made it his permanent home. From the first step in the door I knew it was the place to be. Four months on it has turned out to be such a godsend. For mum she has regained her physical health, made good friends, got a stable happy safe life with round the clock care from people she respects and likes. She feels the team can't do enough for her and particularly "treat me as normal, even when I do daft things"! My anxiety levels about mum's wellbeing, from when she lived in her own home, have dropped completely and the advice and guidance I've received from the team has been invaluable. They are definitely doing something very right and go the extra mile to make the home caring and fun. They do an incredibly difficult job and mum and I are hugely appreciative.
Very comfortable home. Dedicated staff. Mum is very well cared for and enjoys the food and activities.
Community lunch - excellent food, lovely atmosphere. Thank you for your support of local groups.
Wonderful visit for a charity lunch today - we were treated with care and respect from start to finish, we will be back!
Barchester The Field House Care Home is a lovely care home. Our dad came here soon after our mum died - he was frail, sad and withdrawn - he has settled in so well and has a whole new lease of life. It is such a friendly, active home - lots of trips out, entertainment and activities. He is so well looked after and happy. We can not fault it.
My father has been resident in Barchester The Field House Care Home for 18 months now. When he arrived he was withdrawn and depressed as we had recently lost our mum, his wife of 70 years. He has blossomed in a way I would not have believed possible. He takes part in all the activities and is constantly telling me what he has been doing. The staff are amazing they look after him in a respectful manner and are kind and attentive. Everything is clean and organised and the food is lovely, always with a choice. I really can find no fault in the care we/he receives. I am disabled myself and they are always on hand to help me as well as dad. Keep on with what you are doing, it's brilliant
Friendly, helpful and respectful staff. Lovely environment. Very homely. Caring and supportive atmosphere. Excellent all round. All residents look cared for and happy.
I always find visiting my friend a real pleasure. Staff are very friendly and not intrusive when visitors are here.
Very happy with my visit to Barchester The Field House Care Home, everyone is happy.
Visiting a friend who was a resident for a week of respite care. The staff were very warm, friendly and professional. Very impressed with the wide range of activities on offer. Lovely building and grounds and my friend's room was comfortable and clean. She was very happy to be there. Thank you.
Made very welcome when visiting my mum. Staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and flexible. It's always a pleasure to visit Field House.
Mum has settled into Barchester The Field House Care Home and is enjoying the activities and trips out. The carers are excellent and Mum is very well taken care of. The range of activities provided and organised for residents is excellent and carried out with great patience and good humour. Mum loves speaking about the board games, quizzes and other events. Everyone is very helpful and ensures that Mum feels looked after and cared for.
During our visit to our family member, the staff were friendly, helpful and gave us respect and privacy during our visit. They were respectful towards both us and our family member. The room and the home itself were beautifully presented and the views from our family member's room were beautiful. The home had a warm and comfortable atmosphere and our family member expressed her happiness at living there. Lots of activities.
A very friendly and polite staff, making sure we had refreshments on arrival. A clean and well-kept home. Very impressed.
From the moment I stepped into Field House, I was greeted very warmly and with a lovely smile from a carer. She escorted myself and family to my auntie's room. We were then brought hot drinks, again with very friendly carers. The whole place was immaculately clean. Looking forward to visiting my aunty again in such a lovely, homely place.
After visiting different care homes in the Shropshire area, we came across "Field House". It felt more like a first-class hotel rather than a care home. Really good that it's a small care home rather than a big one where the residents are just a number.
My wife and I stayed for a weeks respite after her surgery, the care shown was good and great care was taken of diet requirements. Overall, a good experience she need care again we know where to come.
My husband and I have been here for one week's respite after I had surgery. It has been a good experience. The staff are very caring and helpful. The food is very good and they have catered well for my diet. Thank you for looking after us so well.
I went into respite care in June/July and was impressed from the start. I was invited for coffee and biscuits to do the paperwork, or they were happy to come to me, I had a wonderfully warm welcome and was really happy for my stay. I have been back several times since, to afternoon tea, garden fete and Christmas fayre and have always been welcomed. I would be more than happy to stay there again in the future.
I visited my cousin for the first time today as part of a larger group. The welcome was warm and genuine and my cousin clearly feels at home. His room is wonderful - bright, well decorated and his own furniture makes the transition easier. We were told of quiz events, social evenings and enjoyable mealtimes. I was able to speak to the manager and employee of the month (September) - both of whom were professional and kind.
