View Full Details of Yockleton Grange Residential HomeI have been visiting my friend at Yockleton Grange since she became a resident there. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. The home is tidy and smells clean. Manager or Deputy manager are always available. My friends looks so much more healthier and happier since moving in. She states that the food is lovely and she enjoys the activities, she is well cared for.
From the moment my dad moved here I felt a weight lift off my shoulders. Dad settled in straight away which was down to the care and love shown by all the staff. That care and love extended to the rest of the family too. Sadly, Dad passed away after 2 years there but it was a wonderful 2 years. He often wrote in his diary 'I've had a lovely life and I still am'.
My mum was a resident in Yockleton Grange for the last three months of her life when frailty took her independence. Mum was welcomed and supported in this wonderful old rectory by the manager and her staff, who gave Mum friendship and kindness that never wavered. The atmosphere is a marvellous combination of charm, relaxedness, skill and knowledge. In the light airy room, Mum developed her usual Summer tan, looking out over the trees and church spire or watching her favourite TV shows. And when the end inevitably drew near, Mum was never alone, always a carer or family beside her. Mum never wanted to be in a care home, but Yockleton Grange became a great source of comfort and solace for her. I feel very fortunate that Mum was able to stay at there.
My dad has stayed in respite care at Yockleton Grange on a number of occasions, the most recent one in March 2024. The care and level of attention he gets is fantastic, he enjoys the change of scenery and interaction with other residents and all of the staff and management. They are all so friendly and really care about and remember Dad from each of his stays - he isn't just a number. Cannot recommend Yockleton Grange highly enough and am so very grateful for the care and support they offer Dad and us as a family. He has complex needs at times and these are always met and he comes home with a real spring in his step. Thank you to the manager and all of the team.
Since my mother became a resident in August 2023. My family have been very impressed with Yockleton Grange. Having never gone through illness in our family before, we didn’t know what to expect. The manager and her team have always gone the extra mile for my mother and us as a family. My mother has had a few hospital stays since August and has always looked forward to coming home. Myself and my sister on the last hospital stay 21st March noticed how much all the staff really care and how much compassion they give not only to the residents but us as well. I leave after every visit knowing my mother is receiving the best care possible. Thank you to the manager and the team. You are amazing.
My father has been living at Yockleton Grange for just over a year now and is settled and happy there. He has a pleasant, if small, room with direct access to an outside patio with countryside views. There is a convenient shower room and toilet across the corridor in easy reach. Dad enjoys his meals. The Yockleton staff are all pleasant, friendly and helpful, and always keep me informed about any important issues that come up regarding my father’s welfare. The staff regularly check that Dad is okay, even well into the evening. I am pleased to see that various upgrades are in hand including a new roof, and I look forward to further enhancements which I hope will include refurbishment of the drive (currently in a poor state and possibly dangerous due to large potholes, especially at the narrow entrance from the main road). However, as far as Dad is concerned, I am totally satisfied with the care that is being provided, and congratulate all the staff on their sterling work.
My sister-in-law is a special needs resident and is very well cared for and looks on Yockleton Grange as her home and is very happy and contented. We, the family, are confident that she is receiving the very best care and attention in a loving environment.
The management and staff are all excellent with their care and understanding.
We, as a family, are extremely happy and satisfied with the standard of care of our brother. We understand the limitations that may exist, but fully appreciate all that is done to make a more than comfortable care home. when we visit we are always made welcome, the staff are always happy to talk about all aspects of care, support, activities and needs of our brother. We are always comfortable to go at any time. We understand that there are improvements planned for the buildings/home, which we welcome and fully support.
I have been around several care homes in my time looking for my mother. I did not find one that always smelt so clean as Yockleton Grange! The care for my friend has been excellent. He did not want to go, but after nearly two years, he is now happily going for his meals in the dining room. He also has his favourite breakfast every morning. All the visitors are welcome at any time.
Staff are exceptional - kind, caring and patient - nothing is too much trouble, Homely atmosphere - my father feels looked after and cared for. He is happy and content. Such a relief for myself.
