View Full Details of Hartlands Care HomeMy mother is very happy and settled at Hartlands Care Home and coming up to a year since moving in. What a difference the activities carer has made to mom's happiness, so thank you. What a pleasant difference the new manager has made to the overall look of Hartlands when you now enter the home. It is just so very sad that in the last 3 months mom has taken a turn for the worse, health wise, which has caused her to not be as independent as she has always been (relative to her Altzeheimers). This has meant her care needs have changed and her support needs have increased, which is regular prompting and assistance in dressing and hygiene. The care assistants have been a God send and you know who you are, so thank you. Mom is blessed that she is still be able to walk and feed herself, albeit with more prompting and assistance. We trust, however, her personal and individual care needs will continue to be met because of her deterioration in her independence. Thank you to all the staff for caring.
Very satisfactory. Staff excellent. Food average. Activities very good. My room suits me very much, water not warm enough.
Overall, the home is very good. Lovely staff. The maintenance guy is very good and very helpful. I'm very happy with my dad at this time.
My mum is in Hartlands. She is content and really cared for very well. The staff, all care about her. She is really settled, she takes part in activities as best she can, there is always something going on for my mum to do if she wants to. Mum is always treated with kindness and understanding. The senior staff always keep me informed of anything I need to be updated about. Without a doubt, making the decision to take Mum to Hartlands was really the very best decision I could have made for her. Thank you to everyone at Hartlands for everything you do for my mum.
A happy, friendly and safe environment for my dad. Who has settled in well. Lots of activities to join in. Staff all happy and kind and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone looking for somewhere for a relative to stay.
The care my partner receives is tailored to his needs, he is encouraged to participate in activities but usually refuses. He praises the food and enjoys chats with the maintenance person, the ladies who clean, and the laundry staff. They're all unfailingly friendly and patient. The care staff go the extra mile and they support me.
My mum moved here from temporary accommodation in another home after a hospital stay. She struggles with communication and has dementia. The Hartlands is worlds apart from what we had previously experienced, the staff are friendly helpful and fabulous. Mum has settled so well here and is always listened to and supported to be independent which is so important to her. The amount of time and effort that goes into activities and speaking with residents is clear and I can't tell you how relieved I feel to have found this home for my mum. We have a young family and my children are always welcomed warmly and encouraged to get involved when they are here with activities. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone making the difficult choice to find a home for a loved one. thank you for relieving my fear after having to find my mum a care facility!
Mum has now been a resident for 18 months. I can't speak highly enough of the support care and commitment that she has received from the staff at the home. This home despite its size feels like a home and the staff genuinely care for the residents they support. They have also been supportive of both myself and my brother as it is difficult when you have to take the decision for your mum or dad to enter the care system. We are reassured that Mum is safe and well looked after 24 hours a day.
The home is kept spotless and has a wonderful large garden giving the residents safe access to the outside of the home. The care and attention given by the staff is excellent. They organise activities on most days of the week and have a very good online community site, which keeps up to date, almost every day. My brother-in-law celebrated his 70th birthday in the home this month (April). The staff made his day memorable and baked him a large cake, which I'm sure he enjoyed, having a 'sweet tooth'!
I am very happy with the care my husband is receiving. All staff members go above and beyond.
To my mind the big "plus" is the commitment and dedication of the staff.
My mother has been a resident of Hartlands Care Home for some 10 months. She settled in comfortably in a very short period of time. The daily care and attention she receives from the staff are outstanding in all respects as is the care other residents receive whether incapacitated, confused or frightened. The dedication and professionalism of the care staff cannot be underestimated and it leaves some reassured my mother is in safe hands.
My wife was at Hartlands Care Home for two weeks of respite. This is the second time she has been at Hartlands for respite. She was welcomed by the friendly staff and from the first day, she felt safe. When I collected my wife after two weeks she said how helpful and friendly everyone was during her stay. My wife has dementia and this is one of the reasons for choosing Hartlands. The staff are very experienced with dealing with residents with dementia. My wife enjoyed the food and the staff were able to wash her hair and get her to have a bath. At home, my wife is reluctant to have a shower even though we have a walk-in shower so I am very impressed that the Hartlands staff are able to get her to have a bath. Without exception, the staff are kind and patient and Hartlands has very experienced senior management that are both approachable and efficient. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Hartlands to any relative who is looking for a care home in Shrewsbury.
Management and staff are very friendly, attentive and caring. Mum has settled in really well and receives excellent care. Hartlands Care Home has a very homely atmosphere and a lovely garden. Look forward very much to my visits to see Mum.
My mum has been resident in Hartlands for over two years now and I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care and attention she has received and continues to receive there. All members of management and staff have been so kind and caring towards my mum and I take such comfort in the fact that she is in a lovely, homely atmosphere, is well looked after and safe at all times with somebody always around to help her in any way needed. I am always kept informed and updated with what is happening and how my Mum is getting on and any changes in her behaviour and what is being done to help her. I can rest assured that she is in the best possible hands and always safe and secure and most importantly, happy in herself. I would recommend Hartlands Care Home to anyone who is looking for a place where their relatives/family member will be looked after as if they are their own family. Thank you to everyone there who looks after my beloved Mum so well. You're all brilliant.
The staff are all friendly, caring and attentive to the needs of residents and relatives. Helped to settle dad down after poor experiences in 2 previous homes Atmosphere is relaxed. Only slight downside has been lower levels of activities but hopefully this will now improve post covid.
My mother as been a resident of this care home for a while and I have always found them to be polite, friendly, caring towards my mother and me when ever I call or visit. Activities have been difficult due to covid, so hopefully they will pick up now covid is coming to an end.
Mum has been looked after extremely well since moving into the care of Hartlands. The staff are lovely and have always welcomed us when visiting, nothing is too much trouble. I have no hesitation in recommending the quality of care on offer.
My mum has been very happy here. The staff deal with her needs very well and she always looks clean and well cared for. I am always kept well informed of any issues that arise. It would be good to see more activities/events being organised when the Covid situation improves. I feel happy that Mum is safe and has constant support around her in a lovely, homely atmosphere.
My brother and I were faced with a very difficult decision to put Mum into residential care. The Hartlands, however, have subsequently made that decision the right one for most importantly Mum, but us as well. The staff have been kind and caring not only to Mum but also to us. Mum is receiving excellent care. She is happy, eating well and looks better than she has in a long time, all thanks to Hartlands care.
