View Full Details of Woodland Residential Care Home LtdMum only moved in about two months ago and I'm really pleased that she's settling in so well. The atmosphere in the home is friendly, relaxed and calm, and in my observations all the residents are treated with dignity and kindness by each of the caring and attentive staff. Mum's room is comfortable, the food is good, plentiful and freshly prepared, and Mum has begun to join in some of the activities on offer. She's also looking forward to spending time outside in one of the lovely patio areas when the weather improves. The staff always have a welcome smile for us when we visit too, and make us feel equally welcome. They have been very supportive of us as a family during the process of Mum moving in, and I feel that we are being kept informed of relevant information at all times. I would not hesitate to recommend the Woodland Care Home, and my thanks go out to all who work there.
Amazing place. Staff are all great, really caring and loving towards the residents. Like one big family. Residents are treated with respect and looked after amazingly. Always made welcome when visiting. My auntie enjoys living there and they do great activities with the residents. 10 out of 10.
Such a lovely residential home. The staff are all so caring and there is a great atmosphere, like one big happy family. All the residents are safe and have their individual needs taken care of. The staff are all very friendly and make visitors very welcome. I am so lucky that I found this home for my father, he felt at home from the start and is happy and so I am I that the staff understand my dad's needs and provide an excellent care experience for him and all the other residents.
Knowing your loved one is cared for with dignity and compassion in a safe environment is all you can ask for, and that is exactly what you get at Woodland. Every member of staff goes above and beyond what is asked for or expected. Nothing is too much trouble and they do so with a smile on their face whilst making it look effortless. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a safe and well-loved home for their relative.
I cannot put into words how wonderful Woodland is. The staff are the most amazing, friendly, caring, compassionate and happy group of individuals I have ever met. Nothing is ever too much for them. They go above and beyond in what is already a buty day to make sure the residents and their families are cared for and supported. The extra little details that go unnoticed are especially impressive when you know they do it from a point of kindness and nothing else. I especially need to add that the empathy and kindness given at the most difficult times by all who there there makes Woodland a very special place.
The moment that my mum arrived at the Woodland Care Home she became part of this wonderful family. The care and love goes beyond anything that was expected. I honestly cannot put to paper the time, compassion and love that Mum has received from very busy hard-working people who have treated her with dignity and time always. As a family you couldn't ask for a better place for your loved one to live. Every single one that works here deserve true recognition for being such amazing people.
My Mum has been a resident for about six months now, having been admitted with a limited handover due to a family illness. She suffers from fairly advanced dementia. The overwhelming impression I get from Woodlands is that they care about their residents, from both a welfare and medical viewpoint. Everything is clean, meals are good and drinks are always available. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and it's clear that they're well trained. Mum doesn't have the ability to prepare herself for the day, but she is always clean and well-dressed. They have managed her medical needs well, monitoring measures such as fluid intake and weight. Many thanks to all the team.
Woodlands is a friendly, family-run residential care home. There is a pleasant atmosphere when you enter and always some considerate person to help when needed. The management are efficient and residents we spoke to felt safe. The rooms are clean and comfortable and residents are encouraged to sit and chat in the lounge. We weren't aware of any activities other than TV and talking. Visitors were welcomed. Food was fresh and well-presented with a 'home-cooked' quality. Medications were dispensed as punctually as possible (sufficient supplies for your visit are essential). Thanks to all who enabled our respite stay to run smoothly.
I can't praise Woodland enough. Our elderly mum had to go into a care home last year and obviously, we worried about the care she would get. We chose Woodland and they have proved to be everything we could wish for, for our mum's care. It took her a little time to settle but the staff were so patient with her and so understanding. She now enjoys her life, safe in the knowledge that she's looked after 24/7. There are no regimented rules and it's as near to being looked after at home as we could wish for. Thank you everyone at Woodland Care Home.
All staff are caring and show patience and kindness.
Wonderful care given to my cousin. She was ill but was helped day and night. Staff always made sure she was comfortable. She eventually died, aged 94, after multiple visits by the doctor and district nurse. Woodlands could not have done more.
Woodland Care Home has been looking after my mother for four years. The care has been excellent. The carers are very kind and go out of their way to help. The facilities are adequate and so is the food.
The staff have made my mother very welcome and have gone above and beyond with settling her into the home, my mother is very content and happy. The staff have also been excellent with support for the family. Lovely, caring atmosphere.
Mum has been in Woodland Residential Care Home for quite a few months in-between going into the hospital. I cannot say enough good things about this home. Mum is treated with dignity and kindness by all the girls and the two young men and nothing is too much trouble. Her room is very homely and the food is good also. I cannot tell you the pressure it has taken off my family and I. If you have the horrible task of having to put a loved one into care do not hesitate to put them in the Woodlands Care Home. My family and I highly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff for all the amazing things you do with Mum (you are all angels in disguise) thank you again we really appreciate it.
Mum has been at Woodland Residential Care Home for several years now and regards it as home. She is treated with kindness and understanding by all. She is fed well, always clean, tidy and dressed appropriately. Over the years Mum has suffered from several illnesses which the staff have diagnosed quickly and every effort is made to gain her medical needs. I cannot speak more highly of them in this respect. The past few years have been exceedingly tough with covid restrictions and all that comes with them, however, it is down to the dedication and in some cases extraordinary lengths that some staff have endured to make it all work. I know that she is in safe hands and that is truly comforting.
Mum has been a resident for nearly 2 months. She is happy there, the staff are very caring with her. They respond to my queries about her health and inform me when she’s not well. Visitors are always welcome.
My Mother in law was admitted as an emergency due to a burst pipe in December when she was having care in her home which wasn’t working well. Woodlands helped her to adapt to this big change and I feel they handled things very well and kept me updated. My mother-in-law is now very settled and happy to stay so a stressful situation has ended up in a positive one as she is well looked after now and much better in herself.
My mother has been a resident of Woodlands for many years. She is very happy here and continues to be well looked after by the caring, dedicated and professional staff. I would highly recommend Woodlands Home for your loved ones, they’re excellent. Thank you to all the lovely staff who look after my mum, I’m very grateful.
My mum was at Woodlands care home in Morda Oswestry for 3 years. When my mum arrived from another home, my mum's jewellery was taken from her and put in the safe at Woodlands for safekeeping. My mum passed away on the 7th of September 2022. The manager would not speak to me in person when I went to Woodlands to collect my mum's stuff. I was not allowed in. I've only just today gone through my mum's boxes and there are certain things missing, my mum's single diamond engagement ring and wedding ring are missing, a 9ct gold heart ring is missing too. Also my mum's cross and chain 9ct gold are missing too. I've tried to leave a review but seem to be blocked.
Our dad has been living in Woodland for the past three months. He has only ever been cared for with compassion and professionalism. It is very clear that all the staff are well trained and proficient in their roles, but most importantly, everyone cares about their charges - they are not just doing a job. The accommodation is clean and spacious, and we are kept informed of any changes involving Dad’s health.
