View Full Details of Vitality Care Homes (Brookside) LtdMum has been at Brookside for almost two years. It's such a difficult decision to trust a care home to look after your loved one. But you will not regret choosing Brookside. The care staff are wonderful, looking after everyone in a person centred way according to their needs. There are so many daily activities with lots of art and craft, a regular visiting fitness team and entertainers. The entertainment includes singers, an accordion player, Shetland ponies and last spring hatching chicks in the home! You know your relative is safe, happy and that all their needs are met. The food is always good and varied. The management team run the home really well. The facilities are good and the home has wonderful views over Doxey marshes. There is outside space to sit in the summer with beautiful hanging baskets and raised beds for the residents to grow vegetables. It feels very much like a family home, so many relatives visit regularly and are made as welcome as the residents.
After first setting foot through the front door at Brookside care home we knew this was the right place for my Uncle. He has been here since April 2024 and has fitted in very well.He has a lovely room with private bathroom and a great view. He is always grateful for the care he receives 24/7 and it puts our mind at rest to know that he is in a safe place. The management and all the staff are very caring and nothing is too much trouble, they always make time for a chat when we visit and we are kept advised of his wellbeing either when visiting or by phone if it it is urgent. There is always some kind of activity on in the lounges that the residents are free to attend and they celebrate all the main festivities during the year. We would recommend Brookside in a heartbeat to anyone that are looking for a care home for there loved ones.
We have had a fantastic experience in all of our dealings with Brookside over a number of months. From the owner, manager and staff, all have gone out of their way to make our friend feel at home. The atmosphere and facilities are excellent. They treat all of the residents and visitors with respect and nothing was ever too much trouble. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Following my mother's stay in Brookside for the last 18 months of her life my Wife and I decided to continue with the Christian witness that my late Mum brought to Brookside. As a regular visitor to Brookside I always find the facilities and staff to be of the highest order, good food and both physical and mental stimulation ensure that the residents are cared for very, very well.
Having made what was a very difficult decision we were guided and supported as a whole family when Mum moved in. Sadly Mum only spent a few months at Brookside before her passing but she was very happy whilst in their care. She loved her bright and spacious room with her own modern bathroom, she enjoyed the various activities that took place, and she kept her usual hairdresser who came into the home and used the salon at Brookside. She particularly liked the food and could choose to eat in her room if she wished or in the dining area. We cannot praise the staff and management highly enough, they definitely go the extra mile. Communication was exceptional, and we regularly received calls to see how we were all coping as a family with the transition. I feel that Brookside is a very welcoming and friendly home, we could call or visit whenever we wanted to. The staff are always approachable and extremely helpful and we are very grateful for the first-class care that they provided.
Dad was a resident with complex care needs for three and a half years and throughout this time I always felt staff were very caring, looked after him with dignity and kept him safe. Dad always told me he was in a posh hotel which is a testament to how he felt about the care he received and how the care home is managed. I extend my grateful thanks to all the Brookside staff for looking after Dad.
My wife has been a resident of Brookside for approximately ten weeks. Overall she seems well cared for, happy and contented. Thanks to the high level of support and dedication from the entire care team. I would highly recommend Brookside Care Home to anyone who is looking for a safe, clean and comfortable environment for a loved one.
The staff are very nice and friendly towards myself and my father. When my dad first moved in staff were extremely helpful with my father's settling-in process. Truly am happy with the hospitality given by the staff.
Loving the new home extension, giving the residents a view over Doxey Marshes. The staff here have always been so friendly and my father-in-law has always felt right at home. The new rooms are so lovely, sending this care home into another category. I wouldn't want him to go anywhere else, first class.
Dad was admitted to the home in September 2022. This decision was very hard for both my brother and myself but the staff were amazing to help settle him. During Dad’s time at the home, he was loved and cared for by all the staff. He did engage whilst he could with the array of activities that were organised for the patients with the staff going above and beyond to create memories and add these to their social media page. Dad’s condition deteriorated and he was fortunate to be able to spend his last weeks at the home with the love and care of the staff. The staff were amazing and clearly obvious that they thought a lot about Dad. We are so grateful for the love and support shown to us as a family on his passing and we certainly couldn’t have asked for better care. Many thanks to you all.
My mother-in-law was in this home for just over twelve months. Myself and my husband were extremely satisfied with the care she was given during this time. The staff were caring, loving, attentive and very professional to Mother-in-law's needs during her time there. The treatment we received as a family during her passing in January was just amazing. We are very grateful to all members of staff for the professional but sympathetic and caring way they also looked after all of us as well as my mother-in-law. Many thanks.
Really cannot thank all the staff enough for taking care of my nan while she resided at Vitality Care Homes (Brookside) Care Home. Thank you so much.
My nan was at Brookside for just over 12 months. Her time at the home was her last 12 months with us. Brookside cared for my nan to an extremely high standard. I feel confident that my wife's needs are met and supported in all needs. Medically, she is looked after and referred to regular treatment. She enjoys this home, and they look after her.
Brookside Care home has given such excellent care and support to my dad, who had dementia. All his needs were attended to so thoughtfully by all the staff and management and without any hesitation to ensure he was comfortable and relaxed. The care and daily activities are second to none. The family couldn't have wished for any more personal and friendly care.

Nothing was too much trouble and the resident's needs were a priority. I highly recommend this care facility, genuinely caring carers, led by a professional management team.
We chose Vitality Care Homes (Brookside) for my mom who suffers from dementia based on a friend's recommendation. During her short stay, mom was looked after extremely well by friendly, caring and compassionate staff. The team always going the extra mile to make sure mom felt safe and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. As a family, we also received excellent support and feedback on a daily basis, regarding mom's needs and progress. Unfortunately, mom has now had to transfer to a nursing home, but we would strongly recommend Brookside, to anyone looking for a family-type environment for their loved one.
My mother moved into Vitality Care Homes (Brookside) with Alzheimer’s and the staff were very caring and considerate. My mother made some new friends and the staff shared footage of her dancing on a regular basis. I highly recommend Brookside and the whole team.
We were happy with the looking after and care you have given mum. She was well looked after, her room was comfortable and bright with nice views over the marshes. Meals were basic but okay. I think mum felt safe and secure, it was a shame she didn't join in much with the activities so really cannot say anything about that.
