View Full Details of Christ the King Footherley HallMum arrived at Footherley Hall straight from hospital after a fall. Since arriving the care she has received is just beyond wonderful. From the very first bubble bath I have been so impressed with how they have nurtured Mum. The staff go beyond what I expected. All the staff exude professionalism and a top class work ethos, the atmosphere is always fabulous. Looking forward to enjoying the beautiful gardens with Mum in the Spring. Mum is so contented and for that I am extremely grateful.
At New Year, we had an immediate need for short term respite care for my 92 year old father due to a terrible flu that affected his chest and mobility, resulting in a couple of falls. The team at Christ the King Footherly Hall were welcoming, understanding and provided immediate help in our situation, for which we were very grateful. Our priority was our dad's safety 24/7, his recovery, and a period of respite care to rebuild his strength so he could return home if he was well enough. His room was well appointed and had stunning countryside views, the home was well equipped and set in beautiful rural grounds, and the team were friendly, knowledgable and kind. Dad was given a very warm welcome and looked after beautifully, with attentive medical care on hand to support his recovery. A big thank you to one staff member in particular and the team for all you have done for us and for Dad in our time of need. We are very grateful. And although he very much wanted to return home, he found actually saying goodbye quite emotional!
Mum has been a resident for almost 12 months now, in that time whilst her mental condition has sadly declined, physically she is so much better. Her terrible anxiety and depression has also reduced. The kindness and love shown by everyone at Christ the King Footherley Hall has made her feel settled and happy, which therefore has also made me feel relaxed and happy. All the staff take an interest in her, as they appear to do with all the residents, she is always wearing clean clothes and her bedroom is kept spotlessly clean. There is a very caring atmosphere at Footherley which becomes apparent as soon as you walk through the door. There are some lovely activities, and in the summer when the weather was good their lunch was sometimes served in the garden which mum loved. I looked around many care homes before picking Footherley it is an overwhelming task! I cannot thank everyone at Footherley enough for giving me peace of mind whilst navigating the horror that is dementia.
Mum moved into Footherley in early February after leaving her home of 62 years. There was obviously an initial settling-in period, but after just a fortnight we noticed a marked difference in her contentment. We have been so impressed with the management who take a great deal of care in listening to Mum and her family. The welcome from the friendly receptionists to the care shown by the carers, sisters and all members of the team is exemplary. She is enjoying her food and the company of the carers and residents. They are working hard on controlling her medication. Her room is perfect for her and the lounge and her favourite conservatory, where she enjoys reading her paper, are more than comfortable. I have witnessed a broad range of activities in the lounge which obviously are enjoyed by the residents. I have also noted the valued work of the friends of Footherley. Her settling into Footherley has given our family a real peace of mind.
My aunt came out of the hospital and had major mobility issues. She went from living independently to ending up in a hospital bed in the lounge. I contacted Footherly and she was assessed and offered a room. My aunt is now up and dressed and has her make-up on and her hair done and has a good quality of life and is much happier. She has amazing care and I cannot recommend Footherly enough.
My mother has now resided at this home for just over 10 years. On her 10th Anniversary, they made a real fuss of her and threw a big celebration. When she went into the home, she was struggling with recovery from a severe stroke, but has defied all odds and has gained in health and vitality. That is down to the tremendous care she has received at the home. It is well organised with excellent carers who treat each resident as though they are their own relative. And the setting is exceptional, with beautifully laid out grounds which the residents get to enjoy when weather permits. Can't speak highly enough of Footherley and would recommend it to anyone.
My mum entered Footherley Hall last July. It did not take long for my mum to relax and enjoy life there. The whole team are fantastic, everyone is involved in caring for the residents. The home is so friendly and homely, it is set in beautiful grounds and there is a lovely chapel where my mum attends Mass. When we go to see Mum she is so bright and happy, she has engaged with all of the activities quizzes, bingo and concerts she has even won a game or two of dominoes which we didn't know she could play. My mum has never had a better social life. She has made friends in the home which is so lovely to see. She has just spent her first Christmas at Footherley Hall and she had a fantastic time, there were; carol concerts, parties and a pantomime. Whenever I visit Mum the staff are so friendly, and they have made the effort to get to know us as a family which means a lot. I am very grateful to all of the team at Footherley Hall, you are all fabulous.
I have been extremely happy with Footherley with their due care and attention. In a stressful time, they accommodated my friend at very short notice and they were exemplary in making sure everything was taken care of at the outset. Since then I have seen all members of staff act respectfully and caring not only with my friend but everyone else in the care home. It is a pleasure to visit there and if any queries or questions they are only too happy to help and make you feel very valued and welcome to the care home.
I cannot recommend Footherley Hall highly enough. Everyone working there is friendly and kind and they have made sure my mother felt welcome and safe. Moving into care was a big change for her aged 98. She soon realised that everyone there will happily go that extra mile to help her. She is eating well now and has put back some of the weight she lost in hospital. She often says the soup is 'to die for' and that the meals are well presented. We feel happy knowing that she is looked after so well.
My mother went into Footherley Hall for respite and is so happy she is now staying full time. The management team and all the staff are fantastic, so helpful and kind. The home itself is lovely, the grounds are beautiful, there is a chapel where my mum can go for mass. The residents have a lovely dining room where they eat together, there is always social activities happening, quizzes, bingo, singing. The care they get is fantastic, the staff support the residents' every need and always go the extra mile for them. Whenever I visit Mum the staff are always smiling and so friendly. I am so happy that I know my mum is safe and enjoying herself at 93! Footherley has given my mother a new lease of life. Thank you everyone at Footherley, you're all wonderful.
Christ the King Footherley Hall really offers personalised care. Leaders and managers set the tone for all the people who work there, and everyone has a huge professional pride in the quality of care which is offered. They are patient, kind and dedicated, and readily empathise with the residents' needs. The presence of the nuns adds an additional benefit, bringing a sense of tranquility and calm.
Footherley Hall feels like a home. The staff are dedicated, friendly and kind. I felt I had found the best environment for my mum to be cared for. The facilities and grounds/gardens are excellent, with lots of activities in a beautiful, peaceful setting.
My mother came into Footherely Hall for respite a month ago. She is 97 this month and taken full residency. We, as a family have been absolutely thrilled with the care, support and love shown to my mother. The management and carers are dedicated professional people, but also good for a laugh. We all need a laugh. Mother is settling well. Thank you.
I can not recommend Footherley Hall highly enough. My Dad was at end of life when both he and my Mum moved into a double room at Footherley in May 2021. Dad was only there for two weeks before he died but the carers were just lovely. They made both Mum and Dad (and me) feel very welcome, well cared for, safe and secure but also they were treated with the utmost empathy, dignity and respect. After Dad died, they have been so lovely with Mum. Patient and understanding, yet encouraging but letting her settle at her own pace. I just love Footherley Hall and all its staff, from the management through to the carers, the cleaners, the maintenance people, admin, the reception, laundry and gardeners. I have never come across anyone who shows any level of irritation. But for me, the icing on the super lovely cake is the nuns. I’m not religious, but the nuns are a wonderful and integral part of Footherley bringing an extra dollop of tranquility and love.
Excellent care given, nothing is too much trouble. The staff knows the residents really well and enrich their daily experiences. Such a caring atmosphere. The meals are varied and nutritious and favourite dishes are made. The grounds are superb and lovely to walk in. Five-star care.
My mum has been in Footherley Hall since May and we are very happy with the excellent care she is receiving. She is well looked after by caring, thoughtful staff and there is a lovely sense of family. It is a hard, stressful time for a family when you realise a parent is declining and needs to move into residential care, but Footherley has made the transition smooth and easy for my mum and for us. She is very settled there and most importantly, happy.
I have found that the staff are extremely professional in every way. They have been wonderful in ensuring that Mom's transition into Footherley has been as smooth as possible. Whenever I visit, there is always a welcoming, caring atmosphere.
My mother has been treated absolutely brilliantly since her arrival in Footherley. Every member of staff has been thoroughly professional and has shown tremendous care towards my mother. They all helped her to settle and have managed her complex physical and mental needs tremendously well.
I would highly recommend Footherley Hall. Compassionate, professional staff. Excellent communication. All staff are friendly, willing to help. The ethos of the home can be seen and felt everywhere. Peaceful grounds. Clean environment. For me, the real strength of Footherley Hall is the staff. Residents are treated with dignity and respect. An excellent care home.
My mother started a new chapter of her life in Footherley Hall Care Home in March 2021. The care and support she is receiving from all the staff is excellent. Her needs are catered for both physically and emotionally with medical support provided when required and mental stimulation offered through various and numerous activities provided by the Activity Co-ordinations, she is treated with dignity. The food menus are well prepared, well balanced and nutritious and all home-cooked on the premises. The gardens are beautifully maintained with pathways and benches where I have taken my mother for a walk in a wheelchair. The staff are friendly and caring and pay great attention to detail in providing for my mother’s needs. My mother says she feels safe and secure and well cared for and has settled very well. I am extremely delighted to have managed to secure a place for my mother in such a well-managed facility in a beautiful location.
