View Full Details of Ashview HouseBefore my mother moved into Ashview House I was invited to see her bedroom and shown around the home by a friendly knowledgeable member of staff which was reassuring and allayed my concerns regarding my mother moving into the home. The manager has been very supportive to both my mother and me, very professional, caring and kind which also applies to all the staff.
My mother is settled here and enjoys herself. She says she enjoys the food, the staff are helpful friendly and pleasant. Overall I'm pleased with everything.
Mum is very happy here. She is settled. She gets on very well with staff, the staff always interact with her, and make a fuss of her. If there are any issues, the home always get in touch with us, and explain what is going on. Not had any issues with safety concerns. Mum not a big eater but she says what she has is nice, it's always hot. The staff always give Mum a choice.
Very good cleanliness very good. Food very good room very good. Staff very good.
I visit my aunt every week, she is bed-bound and has been on end-of-life for three years. I don't go same day and time but when I get there, she is always very clean and comfortable. The staff are always polite and welcoming and turn my aunt every two hours. Would highly recommend Ashview House Care Home to other people. I know if I have any queries, the staff and management are always there to help.
We are very pleased with how my father is being cared for. The staff at Ashview are so kind and patient and are always interacting and making my dad laugh. The food is great, and the cleanliness is excellent.
Since my mother has been a resident she has no complaints about her surroundings or staff. I myself find all staff to be friendly and very helpful. The food menu has a varied choice, however my mother cannot chew a lot of things. So the staff blend her food or make her something. She can chew usually cheesy mash with spaghetti (which she loves)!
My 101-year-old mum has been a resident here for 20 months. Despite increasing age-related frailty and needs, the staff are so kind and lovely with her, treating her with respect and dignity. They are her family at times when we can't be there. Her eyes light up when they are with her.
My mum has been at Ashview now for approximately 10 months, I just want to say a big fantastic thank you for looking after her so well, and to all the wonderful staff and manager, they have there, everyone goes the extra mile and they are so helpful and put my mind at rest by taking care of her so well.
My mother has only been at Ashview House for two weeks, but in her words, she is 'being treated like a queen'. She loves the staff, they are all very pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. There is a choice of lovely meals. Mum has settled in really well with their help. Because it is only small, the staff to resident ratio is really good. I would recommend.
Lovely people who have made my mums transition so much easier than I ever thought possible. Carers are helpful and considerate, the phone is always answered promptly and nothing is too much trouble. The management of the home is extremely good, always available to answer the many questions my family have had. Mum has told me that she is happy at Ashview and that she is treated "like the queen".
Hearing that a dearly-loved, family member's needs can no longer be met in the home environment, is one thing, then the search for a suitable home commences and very quickly different types of emotions come into play. Could I trust someone else to care for our loved one? How will they feel there? How do I feel, etc, etc. Refreshment, however from this journey was soon to be found when we paid 3 unannounced visits to Ashview House. Unlike previously visited homes, we were shown around the facilities by a carer, not an administrator! Although we have been advised by friends and family to pay particular attention to a home's current CQC rating, it quickly became clear the staff at Ashview House passionately cared for their residents; the quality of care homes may be more intangible than the 5 stars can convey. To this day, the helpfulness and caring approach of the staff has been remarkable and the welcome given to Mum's 2 canine friends has been appreciated!
