View Full Details of The HeathersAlthough my mom's stay here wasn't to be too long from the moment she arrived she seemed to relax and be at peace. I had moved her from a failing previous care home and they made us both feel welcome from the onset. From Admin too care staff and handymen all were friendly and efficient. On the day of my mom's death the staff were so helpful and compassionate, they even cried with me as my mom passed over quite suddenly.
My Mum arrived at The Heathers still very poorly after several stays in hospital in the previous 6 months. Her experiences prior to this had been stressful but from the moment we arrived I felt we had her in the right place. Everyone welcomed us with smiles, and they were clearly a caring and dedicated team. Everyone of the staff were there to help and all of them provided an outstanding service. On the day my mum passed away I was overwhelmed by the care and respect of the team. They are truly a special bunch of people and deserve a high level of praise. There were so many people involved with my mum but from Management team to the Cook every one of them worked so hard and made sure that they met my mum's needs. The Heathers is a very special place, run by very special people helping families to achieve the very best of care for their loved ones. I cannot thank them enough!
We are happy my nanna is in this care home considering the friendly and caring staff, open to any of your requests and happy to help. The room is good and although my nan doesn't use them the lounges are nice!
Both my parents have been in the Heathers since October 2023. They have now sadly passed away within a short time of each other. Whilst we are grieving we are also immensely thankful that their last stages of life were spent at The Heathers. Each and every member of staff has shown such respect and love for our parents. Words cannot do justice to the kindness that has been shown to them. The Heathers is a shining example of how a home should be run.
My sister was assigned to The Heathers after being discharged from the hospital. Whenever anybody has to go into a care home, there are concerns about how the care home cares for their patients. During the few days my sister was at The Heathers, communication, care, friendliness and attitude from all the staff, whom I came in contact with were outstanding, in fact, it was excellent. When visiting, we were made very welcome, staff always had time to answer our questions. All in all, we are very impressed, so well done, The Heathers.
I have already written a review about the care my mother and father were receiving at The Heathers where they were admitted in the palliative care stage of their life last year. This review relates to the passing of both my parents recently and the care both they and myself, my sister received in the final stages of their life. To say this was exemplary would be an understatement. The care and kindness shown to us all was well beyond expectation from all staff, both day and night. Whilst their passing is sad we are able to keep the happy memories of our parents right up until the last moment. I cannot thank the staff enough for what they gave us. This is what end-of-life care should look like.
Myself, my sister and husband visited our auntie today and were extremely impressed with what we saw. My auntie has only been in just over a month and the difference in her is unbelievable. We travelled quite a way and the welcome and hospitality we received was wonderful. We can honestly say it is by far the nicest care home we have ever visited. The place is immaculate, the staff are so lovely and the food excellent. The care she is receiving is second to none. We left knowing she is being very well looked after and she is so happy in there.
My mother was transferred from hospital into The Heathers Nursing Home on the 29th of December 2023, already she has gained weight and started walking again with her walking frame. The staff and management have been excellent with her, they go above and beyond. My sister and myself can't thank them all enough, we haven't seen our Mom eat as well as she has since being there for a long time. Activities staff have been brilliant with her. Thank you all so much for the excellent care.
My mother was sent here from hospital for respite. In a matter of three days, the difference in my mom was outstanding. They got her walking and eating well and everybody was so kind and helpful. Top marks for The Heathers Nursing Home.
My mother was a resident at the Heathers Nursing Home for six months. All the staff are a credit to the home. All the time she was there the care, support, and friendliness of all the people we came into contact with was second to none. My mom was treated with dignity and care at all times we were never worried when we left her after visiting as we knew she was in good hands. Nothing was too much trouble and they made her very comfortable. We really can't thank the staff enough.
My Father was looked after by the fantastic staff at The Heathers Nursing Home Cannock, we could not fault a thing and would definitely recommend the nursing home it was absolutely fantastic. Kind regards.
We were all so worried about mum before she went to hospital then she collapsed at home at the age of 102, an amazing lady who had looked after not only herself but a disabled son too. When The Heathers took her in for her final days it was like a light at the end of a very long bleak tunnel. Your wonderful staff were so kind and considerate and helped us as well. Many many thanks to you all.
As the nominated 'next of kin' of your resident (he had no family at all) we were very impressed with the care given to him during his three weeks at The Heathers, receiving palliative care.
The Heathers is a lovely home and the staff are very friendly and helpful and care for their residents.
Words don't do The Heathers and the wonderful team of people that work there enough justice. Before we met the team at The Heathers, we were really struggling. The sad reality that old age catches up on us all, coupled with dealing with the reality that you think you can do more than you actually can and need help. This was a hard one for us all to come to terms with. Thanks to The Heathers, from the moment you press the bell to enter the building, you are made to feel welcome and get a warm feeling from all. Everyone from the receptionists, cleaners, nurses, and activity/events team who are all brilliant. Two members of staff who got my mum interested in her art again and make her laugh every day and have given her a purpose. The wonderful cooks who make wonderful home-cooked food and deliver it with a smile. Everybody is there to help. It's a great place to spend your final chapter or maybe a few new chapters and I would highly recommend it if you are struggling.
Outstanding care. Outstanding compassion. Outstanding team. An outstanding nursing home. The mother-in-law was only in The Heathers for a short period for end-of-life palliative care. We could not have asked for more. She called The Heathers her new home and was looked after like family. Everyone showed so much kindness and respect. She loved them all, as they did her. We will always be grateful for the dedication of the nursing staff to keep her comfortable while the carers made her feel special with their kindness, respect and care. We were so grateful for the support given and the willingness of all to take the time to talk to us through this difficult time. Thanks again to the nurses, carers, kitchen staff, cleaners, maintenance and administrators, you all make The Heathers a lovely home.
Having my mum transferred here from hospital to be assessed, it was decided she was on end of life. So it was decided it would be at the The Heathers she would end her days. The care she received was just perfect, caring and respectful of her wishes. They were very kind to our family, nothing was too much trouble. She was there two months and her last days on Earth were made easier by the The Heathers nursing home and their caring staff. Thank you.
My mother spent just under a month at The Heathers Care Home. She always said how well looked after she was and how friendly the staff were. The open visitor hours made visiting easy and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The premises were always clean and the building's interior was bright, clean and welcoming.
My aunt has been here for a few days now and it is quite far from where we live but we have visited and the staff are lovely. They have phoned several times and kept us informed every step of the way. It is very clean and well-presented.
After receiving the worst possible news about my Mom's health, I wanted to find a caring, professional and comfortable home near to me where Mom could spend her last days. The Heathers offer everything I wanted for her and more. All staff take every care to make her time there as good as it can possibly be. Even down to making sure that Mom can see the trees outside, which is important for her. She is treated with dignity and respect, care and efficiency and, above all, smiles and warmth. My family and I are so glad that she's safe, comfortable and so well cared for. And that care extends to the family too. It is remarkable that despite the number of residents and visitors, the nursing, caring and office teams remember us and make time to check how we are and what they might be able to do to support us too. I can't speak highly enough of The Heathers. They've lifted a weight from my shoulders and that allows me to make the most of the precious time I have left with Mom.
Although my mom's stay here wasn't to be too long from the moment she arrived she seemed to relax and be at peace.
