View Full Details of Lanrick HouseThe care team at Lanrick House provide great quality care, which is respectful, friendly, person centred and warm. They have recently increased and promoted my mum's independence, while respecting and listening to her choices and decisions as an individual. With a new manager, Lanrick House appears to be entering a positive new chapter, which is reassuring for mum and myself.
We needed to move my mum very quickly out of a long term hospital stay and the manager of Lanrick House was fundamental in arranging this for us. She is extremely professional and highly knowledgeable in all aspects of care. My mum stayed at Lanrick House for 3 weeks and we found the home to be clean, welcoming and the staff to be very caring and kind. The food is excellent.
Mum has been at Lanrick for two and a half years and has had great care and support throughout her stay. Staff have always sought to involve her in day to day activities and are forever kind and cheerful with her. She is looked after far better than I could manage on my own.
There is always a warm, pleasant and welcoming atmosphere when visiting the home. The standard of all round care is excellent.
Mum has been in Lanrick House for some 13 months following a move from the south. From the moment she arrived, the family have been more than happy with the care provided. We are now able to visit regularly and just turn up when we want. The staff not only engage with the residents but family too. There are activities, some of which family/friends are invited to which we have enjoyed. Mum always compliments the food and there seems to be a varied menu to suit all. As Mum gets older, Lanrick House is the safe environment we would want for her and have made the best choice for her needs.
We are pleased that my sister is well looked after and cared for .We are always informed by the staff if she needs anything has a fall or isn't well. The staff are always helpful and pleasant. The bedroom is always clean snd tidy. The garden very pleasant for residents to sit out.
I cannot speak highly enough for the care and respect that the staff give to our Dad. Lanrick House is a very professionally run home that has a well-run regime and a safe, enriching environment. There is excellent access to management and regular opportunities for families to have an input into how the home is being run. But the most important thing is how the staff interact with my Dad in a personal and caring way. I can always be confident that our Dad is safe and getting the best care. Thank you to all the staff for the work you do.
My sister and I are very pleased with the care given to our mother, she feels safe and well looked after, and she couldn't be happier. The staff are excellent and very supportive. I would recommend this care home to anyone thinking of placing a relative into care.
The staff at Lanrick House Care Home are very welcoming to all visitors and know the residents very well. They offer daily stimulation to those in the home that are able to take part such as bingo, card making, local musical entertainers visiting, celebrating all key events and many other activities to keep residents engaged as much as possible. My mother has been a resident over 2 years now and is settled in her surroundings. She has a dedicated carer so family can communicate with them, which works in the main, but there is always someone to talk to should I have any questions. All of the staff know my mom and she seems to like all of them, which is important when I live over 50 miles away. I would recommend anyone to stay, short or long, at this care home. The team work hard to ensure everyone is well looked after and happy.
My mother has been in Lanrick House for three years, she is there for care for the elderly as she couldn't live at home any more, due to mobility issues and the personal care required. From the moment she moved in she says she feels happy, safe and well cared for. She no longer has to worry about not being able to get around very easily. She has an en-suite room, with TV, some of her own furniture, her pictures/photos, and great-grandchildren's drawings/paintings everywhere. She's always clean, warm and well-fed. She calls the carers her friends, and goes to the events that home put on regularly. Her friends visit, some with their little dogs, which she loves. I spent weeks researching local care homes. My brother and I chose Lanrick House after talking to our mother and visiting. We have never regretted it. She is in the best place she could possibly be. Her well-being, health, and happiness have all rocketed immensely. She is respected as a person and not just a resident. What more could you want?
A great clean home with loving carers who keep you informed and up to date on any issues. Mum has settled in really quickly and appears to be very happy which was our biggest concern having lived in her family home for over fifty years. Location is good for all the family who live in a 15-mile radius.
My sister has settled in to Lanrick House very quickly, helped by a very good team. The surroundings are very clean, tidy and warm so is her room. She always looks very neat and tidy and says the food and drinks are food. So for me and the rest of the family we feel she is in the best place for her future health and happiness.
A really nice, clean house. The manager and all of her staff are really friendly and helpful and always make me welcome.
My mother is getting more stimulation and better meals than she did when living at home.
My dad moved into Lanrick House in October 2023. He was a bit unsettled at first, to be expected. Now he is very happy there. He has made friends and the consistency is good for him. I find all the staff very professional and lovely and he is very well looked after. Activities are always going on too.
It's been a lovely experience. My grandad was not a fan when he first went in as he has always been independent. However, the staff have welcomed him and helped him with any problems and now he loves it! They have fun days and trips and 5 meals a day! I'd wanna move in! Only problem is laundry, people's clothes get mixed up, but if that's the only problem I'm happy.
Mum settled in very well. Mum is really well looked after by all the staff. Lots of activities and all staff very caring. Cannot fault any of the care Mum receives. Always made to feel very welcome when visiting and the home is always spotlessly clean.
We are very happy with Lanrick House. It's clean and tidy. All the staff are lovely with Mum, she is well dressed and happy. We cannot fault the care she is given. She has settled in very well. We are made very welcome when we visit.
My husband has been a resident at Lanrick Hpuse for the last 18 months. The staff have always treated him with respect and kindness and I cannot fault the care he receives. I have nothing but praise for Lanrick House and I am always made welcome when I visit.
Having placed my dad in two other care homes for respite before permanently staying at Lanrick House I can safely say Lanrick House is the best by far. My dad struggled with new surroundings but settled quickly at Lanrick which is all down to the excellent staff. Their knowledge and understanding of dementia coupled with their warmth and caring attitude has made my dad's stay the best it could be. Lanrick House has many positives but the staff are their biggest asset by far.
