Mum spent 3 very happy years at Hanford Manor. She was encouraged to
stay active, singing, dancing, and expressing her opinion, as much as
she could while having dementia. The staff paid attention to her
individual needs, so she was always an individual, not just another
person on the list. The staff found time to have a laugh or a joke
with her and cheered her up on her not so good days. We found the house
and grounds tidy, clean and safe. The bedrooms are bright, cheerful and
spacious, with all items older people need. On nice days the residents
can sit out on the patio. The gardens are safe and well-fenced,
residents are always supervised. Mum passed away on the 23rd of February
at the age of 94 years, and when it was the day of Mums funeral a few
weeks later we were all overwhelmed as not just one, but a handful of
staff came to pay respects and say goodbye.
