View Full Details of The LimesMy mum came into the home a few weeks ago and has settled in nicely. She has been helped by the staff to settle in with excellent care and dignity. She says she likes the staff, activities and food. The family are very pleased with the handover from the hospital and very pleased with the overall care. A big thank you to everyone at the home.
Having never had anything to do with care, my mum came into The Limes having been in hospital. For us as a family, it's been the best decision ever made. The management and the staff go above and beyond to care from having months of a very lovely and poorly mum over the last 6 weeks, we can now see a massive change in our mum. She's happy, well looked after and most of all safe. Keep up the good work and thanks to you all.
When my brother came here, he was the happiest he had been for a long time. The staff were so kind, nothing was too much trouble for them and the place is fantastic. Great atmosphere and the food is plentiful. Very cosy and happy. My number one choice.
My mum has only been in this home for nearly a week, what fantastic staff. Everyone goes above and beyond so my mum is now the mum I used to know thanks to everyone there. She settled really well. The Manager is a first-class lady. Nothing is too much trouble and treats everyone as her big family. 10/10 for everyone from the laundry lady who is so pleasant, to all the staff keep up the good work.
This is the second time this year my mother-in-law has used The Limes as respite care for a couple of weeks. We have been blown away by the kindness, level of care and friendliness of all the staff. She was made to feel welcome from the moment she walked in the door. She settled almost immediately which is a testament to the care home. The Manager is amazing and always makes you feel like nothing is too much to ask. Thank you The Limes!
My father has advanced Alzheimer's and dementia and has been here since the 3rd October I can not fault the care my dad continues to have here. The manager is amazing and goes above and beyond to provide excellent care here. All the staff are brilliant, very friendly and caring and it's a comfort knowing that my dad has such wonderful people looking after him.
My grandmother is a resident at The Limes. She is extremely well looked after. The staff are amazing and they take the time to get to know each resident personally. They noticed my grandmother wasn't herself and were quick to discover the cause and soon she was back to herself. They go above and beyond and always keep us well-informed about everything. They are always friendly when we visit. My grandmother always has a cup of tea or a drink to hand and meal times are protected.
I cannot thank the manager and her team enough! My Dad has now been a family member of The Limes now 6 weeks or so. As a family we were in a very bad place constantly worrying about both our parents due to very little available help with care for my dad which was making us and our mum ill. Dad is happy at The Limes and care is tailored to his needs and adapted to help. My mum becomes part of The Limes family when she visits. I don’t know what we would have done without the help of this amazing team of people.
The Limes is fantastic. My father has recently become a resident here. From the moment of first contact, every member of staff made us as a family feel at ease. It is a very difficult time for families making this decision and transition for a loved one. The staff and residents of The Limes now feel like an extended family in just a few weeks. The facilities are lovely. The home is extremely clean and my father says that the food is lovely. The activities are chosen by the residents. My dad loves the one-to-one care that he gets, and also likes the fact that the staff value his opinions. 100% praise to all of the staff. The warm, welcome greetings from the residents when any visitors come, speaks volumes for the home rather than any review that could be left.
My Dad has been a resident at The Limes for over three years. During that time I feel that his health and wellbeing has always been a priority of the caring staff. The staff are always respectful, friendly and approachable. I'm kept well informed and encouraged to be open and honest if I have any concerns. Regardless of when I visit The Limes, it always feels fresh and clean and my Dad's appearance reflects the care and attention shown to him. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Limes to anyone looking to find a caring and safe environment for their loved one.
My mother has been a resident at The Limes in Fenton for a few years now. It was an extremely difficult decision to place her into care at the time but we had to do what was best for her situation. Since being at The Limes my mother has received the utmost high standard of care and consideration that we could only have wished for. Even during the pandemic the staff were very attentive and kept us fully up to date. The rooms are very clean and airy and the home is well kept. We have regular updates via telephone calls or the closed social media page which advises us of the many activities that are happening. All of the staff show lots of care and kindness to my Mum and have lots of laughs together.
My mum has been a resident at The Limes since September 2020. She has recently suffered a urine infection and chest infection. She has been looked after with care, consideration and thoughtfulness. The staff have been wonderful keeping me informed of any deterioration and improvement in her condition. They keep her comfortable and content.
Our mother has been well cared for at the Limes for the past three years, it's a very well-run home, the staff are caring, friendly and approachable, greeting us with a cheery smile and happy to answer any questions we may have. The home is clean, tidy and fresh smelling, it all feels very relaxing. Food is varied, nutritious and delicious, also residents have several choices. There is a full programme of activities each day should residents wish to take part. Relatives are kept up to date via the closed group Facebook page or by phone for personal matters.
As probably many more people feel, the last thing I wanted to think about was having to put my mum into full-time care. I visited many, some only 2 minutes from where I live, but none of them ticked all the boxes, until I stepped foot in The Limes and met the manager. I immediately felt comfortable with the surroundings and all the staff were so friendly and warm. The manager is fantastic at her job, everything is very well organised and she makes you feel so much better during such an anxious time. The rooms are lovely and it's comforting to know that Mum has her own things around her to make it feel like home from home. Everywhere is clean and the residents always look clean and tidy. There is always plenty going on to amuse the residents, Mum especially likes the singing and dancing. It is so reassuring to know that she is being well looked after and that she is safe. I would 100% recommend this home.
My sister has moved from Wales to be near family. Due to funding issues etc this did take a lot longer than we hoped, however this was no fault of the home. Throughout the time they kept in touch and kept the room my sister had chosen available. The support from the manager and the rest of the team has enabled me to become a sister again and not a carer. They have made my sister welcome and have encouraged her to start to come out of her room and get involved in the wider home's activities. Importantly my sister seems happier than she has for a long time and says the staff always have time for her. They have supported her with dignity and respect and are developing a person-centred care and support with my sister, not for her.
I was anxious about my mum going into care but I didn't need to be as The Limes is a home from home. All the staff are amazing they are so caring and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The home is clean and the food is excellent also there are regular activities and entertainment. As a family, we are kept well-informed and we don't feel that there is anything we can't ask.
I have placed my mum into the Limes residential home for respite whilst my father is in hospital. She has settled in really well. The management and care staff have been really supportive and caring for both my mother and myself during a most difficult and stressful period. I can't recommend them highly enough. The room she is in is spotless. The food is of a good variety and there are plenty of activities for the residents to participate in. All care staff are caring and attentive.
My mum has been in the Limes for about eight months now. Amazing staff, great place, safe and secure, food and hygiene excellent - my mum adores it here. There are activities for all the residents to participate in.
My wife and I have been caring for my father for four years now, with no break. When we contacted Social Services for help, they arranged for four weeks of respite at The Limes, for which we were at first equal parts grateful and (frankly) a little nervous. We had no need to be nervous. The staff at The Limes are caring, courteous and gentle with Dad at all times. He is happy, settled and secure. He has company and companionship throughout the day (something we could not really provide with only two of us) and there are regular events and entertainment throughout the week, which he looks forward to. He is as well fed and cared for as we could hope. In short, I feel that staying at The Limes has been a very positive move for both my wife and myself but most especially, and most importantly, for Dad. If only for respite, I would recommend it to anyone.
Excellent/Caring Staff/So helpful. Our brother has been a resident at the Limes Care Home in Fenton for only a few weeks, but in that time we have found the care to be excellent, and the staff too. The room he has is lovely, very clean, and the bedding is spotless. The food is lovely (I have actually seen some of the food). They also have daily activities. The staff here seem to "go the extra mile" for your loved one, if we call to visit my brother or phone The Limes for anything, they know straight away who we are ringing about which is so reassuring. Very special thanks to the staff who have helped us a lot in a difficult situation this week. Also, thanks to one member of staff, in particular, (always smiling and helpful), the lovely lady in the kitchen, once again always smiling. The Limes is run by the manager and deputy and we feel they are doing an excellent job. Many thanks to you all. So appreciated.
