View Full Details of Weston House Care HomeThis home has looked after my brother for several years, always with great kindness and competence. The staff are thoughtful, professional and caring, the individual rooms are well furnished and equipped, and the communal spaces are clean, bright and comfortable. The food is excellent. Visitors are welcomed - except when there are medical reasons, as now, to restrict visits. Very much appreciated and strongly recommended; a much better care home than others I have knowledge of - much better.
My grandmother was given a new lease of life when she arrived at Weston House. We were very pleased with the overall appearance and cleanliness of the home. The staff were amazing both with my grandmother and myself and my family when we visited. Staff were friendly and thorough and always made us feel at home. We couldn't have asked for better care for our grandmother. She was very much at home and very well looked after.
I only visit Mum approximately once a week so I can only speak as I see. All care is very good and Mum is always clean and seems mostly contented. I don't know how often she is checked when she is alone in her room, but she has had a couple of falls during the last few months because she has such poor mobility. She does not understand how to use the 'call' system to get help. The staff are very kind and understanding and adapt at dealing with the problems arising from dealing with people with dementia issues.
Each time we have visited out friend we have been assured of a welcome, interest and care for ourselves, as well as the residents. Our resident friend is in this modern, well-staffed home. It is lovely to see carers sitting, talking to residents, or just holding their hands as they smile at each other. All the residents seem to know that they are loved. What could be better?!
I have nothing but admiration for all the staff at Weston House. The love and care they show to my mother is wonderful. No matter how busy they are they always have time to greet me and offer a cup of coffee, the hugs and kisses for mum are always there, it's so sad mum ended up with dementia, but if she was the Queen of England she couldn't be in a better place! God bless them all.
