View Full Details of Arden HouseI visited my mum today and it's been a wonderful afternoon as the entertainment lady had some animals come to the lounge for the residents to see and hold if they wished. I watched my mum hold a snake! The entertainment lady was so enthusiastic getting everyone seated and comfortable. All the staff as they are on every visit were so welcoming, friendly, helpful and yet each staff member is extremely professional too. I really do feel like our mum is part of a huge warm caring family.
Arden House is a lovely home. Always a pleasure going to visit my Grandma. She has lived here a few years now so I have come to know the staff well. The staff are lovely. Very helpful and caring. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The manager is always available when needed. Overall I have no complaints.
My dad was a resident at Arden for the last three and a bit years. After suffering a memory condition and having multiple falls at home, we decided he needed more care than my brother and I could give. Arden quickly became my first choice as hard a decision as it was we have never looked back. The level of care and attention shown to Dad was outstanding. I wish it were possible to thank every member of staff as they were all brilliant, but obviously that is not possible. He was always well fed and looked after, kept clean and safe. Dad was essentially quite a private man so didn't necessarily socialise or join in with many activities. He was however always given the opportunity to do so. He has now sadly passed away and his final weeks were difficult to see but the level of care he received went above and beyond in my opinion. I personally would not hesitate to recommend Arden to anyone considering it as an option. Once again my heartfelt thanks to all of the Arden staff.
My mother was in the care of Arden House, she was a very awkward customer! She was made very comfortable all the time she spent there, and was always looked after well - brilliant staff. She always had food issues from day one, catering staff encouraged me to try and help, it didn't work, but they kept trying. She took to certain members of staff better than others, didn't like change, very set in her ways, preferred to stay in her room and not socialise, one member of staff in particular was always there for her, even on the day she died, nothing was too much trouble for her, very much appreciated. Many many thanks from me and her two grandsons and her granddaughter abroad.
My sister has lived in Arden House for about 11 months. She is very well looked after; I observe that she enjoys a good rapport with the staff. She is in good spirits when I visit which is usually once weekly or once fortnightly. She is clean, her clothes are clean and her bedroom is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. I have complete confidence in Arden House and the care it provides for my sister.
Our mum has been a resident at Arden House for coming up to a year now. Mum has dementia, and initially spent time at Arden as part of a period of respite, before transitioning to become a permanent resident. From the outset, all of the team made her feel incredibly welcome and made the transition extremely smooth. The manager was also fantastically helpful to us in navigating the various administrative processes involved with social workers, the local authority and with healthcare providers. The environment at Arden is wonderful, it is always very clean, warm and comfortable, and there are daily activities for all of the residents to participate in. Our family have always felt reassured that Mum is in the best hands and being fully taken care of. We couldn't recommend Arden House and the team highly enough!
I think this place is adequate for its purpose. The staff are alright, they come across as friendly and efficient and they do their job very well. My friend gets on with the residents very well, my friend likes her room very much and likes the food in there.
I have found Arden House to be very satisfactory. The staff are friendly, caring and helpful. The general ambience is warm and gives a sense of security.
Excellent meeting today with the home manager. She put my mind at rest about a number of issues. She listened well and showed she knew my mother as a person and an individual which really matters to me. She explained things clearly and offered a care review meeting which we will arrange shortly. Altogether very satisfied.
My husband has been cared for for two months by a team of dedicated people.
My Mum passed away last month at 102, and Arden House had been her home for the past eight years. When she became a resident it was because of physical disability, however, she developed dementia which became progressively worse to the point where she was a frail and confused soul. Throughout her long stay at Arden House I have always felt that she was getting the best possible care, support and attention from a lovely team of people - and I know that she could be sometimes quite challenging! The quality of the care provided was particularly noticeable in the last few weeks of her life. I cannot recommend Arden House highly enough - a huge thank you from me
Although my mother was only in the home for a very short time we cannot fault the care she and we received. At all times she/we were treated with dignity and respect. It was definitely a home from home. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a real shame that she was not there longer to enjoy it more. It was comforting to know in her words how happy she was there written in her diary that we found after her death. To know she didn't die alone and died happy was all we could ask for. Thank you.
All staff are always very helpful and the standard of care given to my mother is excellent. My mother has been a resident at Arden House for approximately 6 months and is now well settled. Any concerns are always dealt with promptly by the manager/deputy manager and senior carers. I would therefore highly recommend the care given at Arden House to other families looking to place an elderly relative. The Arden House sign however is broken and the canopies in the basement which are on view require cleaning or replacing. I have suggested that the flower tubs etc at the entrance could be filled to which they are addressing. The above are only suggestions to improve the appearance of the building which is lovely.
My mum moved to Arden House in May this year following a deterioration in both her mental and physical health. Mum settled quite quickly and this was facilitated by the excellent team working there. Mum has thrived in the caring, supportive environment and although her mental health has deteriorated again the staff are so kind and supportive that she is coping with her anxiety much better than she would have at home. The staff treat mum as an individual and are keen to know how best to support her. Mum's room is lovely, she loves looking out at the view across Clarendon Square and watching the world go by. She has been allowed to personalise the room and it looks great. Mum is a keen gardener and she has been given the freedom to help in the garden and have her own patch to plant. We love sitting out there together and having a cup of tea. The food is very good and there are plenty of activities to do. I am very satisfied with Arden House and can highly recommend it.
My mother has received a consistently high standard of care throughout her three years at Arden House. During that time, her needs have changed as her health has deteriorated, and the home has been flexible and responsive to these changes. The staff are kind and patient, the food is excellent, and even though my mother chooses not to get involved in group activities, she is still made to feel valued as a member of the Arden House community.
My mother was having difficulty managing at home and needed a period of rebuilding and adjusting her treatment for which hospital was absolutely not the right place. She/we also needed to assess whether it was time to move to residential care. The team at Arden House together with their GP practice did a fantastic job of caring for her during this 6 week period. She is back home with support and better than she has been for many months, thanks to the team.
My mother has been a resident at Arden House for 2 1/2 years. Until April 2020 I visited the home regularly and often spent all day there. The staff were most accommodating and obliging as they knew I lived far away from Leamington. All the staff have shown kindness and behaved in a very caring manner towards my mother. Moreover, they are always cheerful. I have been very impressed by all the activities regularly taking place which is so important to the well being of the residents. The home has an attractive garden for use in good weather and a pleasant dining room as well as two sitting rooms, one for watching TV. On special occasions such as Christmas and birthday, we have been able to use rooms upstairs. Staff have kept me informed of any incidents affecting my mother. I have been extremely pleased with the way my mother has been looked after at Arden House as well as the running of the home and would certainly recommend it.
Mum has been at Arden House for 2 years now. Although she has little understanding of anything in her dementia she is always happy and calls it home which is all we could ask. The staff are cheerful and always say something lovely to her as they pass which in her deaf almost blind state is lovely and she reacts happily with a smile. There are activities going on and before Covid restrictions lovely times with visiting children and dog. We look forward to those in the future. She eats well and is clean and tidy and her room is lovely. A big thank you to all the staff who do an amazing job especially at this hard time
My Mum spent the last 8-months of her life at Arden House, and words cannot truly express the feelings I have about the outstanding care that was received by us all. This place is a home in the true sense of the word - welcoming, safe, friendly, spotlessly clean and cosy. The staff, without exception, across all areas, were cheerful, warmhearted and calm. The home has a delightful, peaceful atmosphere, it is somewhere you would want to be in your later years if you couldn't live independently. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were genuinely interested in my Mum, her likes and dislikes - they noticed and treated her with great respect. The excellent manager, her deputy and the entire team understand the issues faced by elderly people needing care and the effect it can have on their families. I smile every time I pass by.
Our Mother spent the last 15 months of her life at Arden House. From the moment she arrived, she was treated with kindness, love, and, more importantly, understanding of her condition. Within a few days, she had settled in and thought the world of all the staff without exception. The staff were always friendly, knowledgeable and compassionate when we visited and nothing was too much trouble. For somewhere for our Mother to go in later life, I cannot recommend Arden House too highly. It is a hidden gem in Leamington.
