View Full Details of Four WaysMy auntie and uncle live at Four Ways. Whenever I visit I see the consistent high standard of care. This home has a heart. The staff go over and above to ensure my auntie and uncle are together as much as possible and they even set up valentine surprises for them both. They give little anecdotes to me about things my auntie and uncle have done or said. These are memories I will treasure. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home. It is outstanding.
My parents reside at Fourways. I feel very confident they are cared for to the highest standard. I have seen first hand the commitment and dedication of staff members at all levels/roles as they diligently go about their duties to ensure all residents are able to live their final years to the full in a safe, caring and happy environment. It's great seeing the residents enjoying the activities and entertainment. Dad loves to play dominoes and is encouraged to do so, he's gone for pub lunches, trips to country parks and to community activities. Fourways is a wonderful care home with gardens well kept by staff, residents and volunteers, the floors are themed and there's a kitchen providing freshly cooked tasty meals. When visiting my parents I'm made to feel so welcome by friendly staff. I sometimes visit with my mini dachshund and he receives lots of attention and is made welcome too! If my friends were looking for a residential home for a parent(s) I would undoubtedly recommend Fourways.
My mother in law, now 90 years old, became a resident at Four Ways in the early part of 2023 and has been provided exemplary care by the team working at the home. Her room is well decorated and nicely furnished and kept clean and tidy at all times. Her bed is warm and comfortable and she sleeps very soundly in it. The carers are very attentive and kind to her and she has developed a great fondness for those she sees regularly. They are very careful with her and have provided her the right personal care at all times; nothing seeming too much trouble. They do provide her with good meals (she is a fussy eater and she gets a lot of support over that!) and she is kept very well hydrated, her general health being well monitored too. Proper processes are followed in medication and care. The supervisor/manager, is very personable, capable and effective in all she does. The team at Four Ways is really good and I am very happy with how my mother in law is being cared for.
My dad has been at Fourways now for over 3 years and it is very obvious to his family that he feels very safe and secure there, when we take him out for the day, although he has a lovely time, you can sense his relief when he is back and in his own space again. I do not think you could ask for more than that as a relative of a resident. The carers at Fourways really care and you can feel that when you are there, but also, most of them have been working there for a long time and because of that, they all have special relationships with all of the residents. It is a lovely place to spend time and I always walk away confident that my dad is in good hands. The home is clean and bright and has a happy atmosphere, the food is home-made and tasty and the menu is flexible depending on how the residents feel on any given day. My dad doesn't really engage in the daily activities, but the programme always looks varied and interesting for those that do. Thanks to all at Fourways.
If I had to use one word to sum up the care given by Four Ways it would be outstanding. The staff that took care of dad are, without any hesitation, the most selfless and caring people you could possibly want to take care of your loved one. The love and tenderness they bestowed upon dad was both heartwarming and comforting to witness. They work tirelessly and nothing is ever too much trouble - they genuinely want to care and help. Four Ways is run by an excellent management team and nothing is too much trouble. Dad became quite poorly towards the end of December last year and we believed and were told that he would, at that point, be put on the end of life pathway. However because of the sheer unrelenting tenacity, care and tenderness that was given by the staff, dad rallied and I was given a further 4, precious weeks with him. Dad passed away peacefully very recently and his loss was not only felt by my family, but also, clearly, by all the staff there that had cared for him over the last 4 years.
My mum has been a resident at Fourways now for over 2 years after being transferred from hospital. During the middle of last year my mum became really poorly and was again admitted to hospital after prompt action from the staff involved. On her return she remain slow to recover but with the time and dedication shown by the staff who care for my mum, encouraging her to drink and having to feed her small amounts and maintaining her dignity during her care and management has enabled my mum to recover slowly with there continued support. They have supported me through what has been at times very tough, and always showed me kindness and given me a much needed hug. They are all an amazing team and much appreciated by my mum and myself.
The staff at this home are very caring and always make sure the residents are happy in whatever way they can. I'm happy that there are activities on a regular basis which helps the residents to interact with each other and is beneficial to each individual too which I feel is important. Any issues/concerns raised are dealt with accordingly as requested by the family which gives us peace of mind knowing she is being looked after. The outings are a good thing too as it gives us and the relatives something else to relate to when we visit. Well done Four Ways, thank you.
Been resident for 5 years and made a lovely friend since arriving. Friendly and inviting staff - great to know that family member is in a safe space and being cared for. Bright space and great garden too!
My mother has been in Fourways for over 4 years since breaking her hip. She always assures us that she is very well looked after and is very proud of her room. She always looks well turned out - has visits from the hairdresser and chiropodist whenever necessary. Always a fussy eater she enjoys the food - the staff are very patient with her. The medical care is first class. Visitors are always made welcome and the home is always clean, tidy and the staff friendly and welcoming.
I have just returned from taking my mum to Ireland (where she was born) for her 80th birthday. Mum has not travelled for decades and she has high needs so the trip needed careful planning. I wish to thank all the staff at Fourways for supporting me and my sister to do this. They prepared her medication so that I could manage it easily whilst away, they liaised with the frailty nurse for additional medication needs. They prepared staff for her early departure and returns. They also supported her to help with extra things like painting her nails to make her look extra pretty for the trip. (Thank you) All brilliant!
My mother in law as the onsets of dementia, moving into Four Ways coming up to a year ago. Since day one she as been looked after to a very high standard. The care homes is a lovely place for both residents and visitors with great facilities including coffee shop and beautiful garden. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff and always go that extra mile to unsure the residents are comfortable and happy. We have the piece of mind that mother is being well looked after and needs for nothing, all the team should be proud of their work.
My partner's aunty recently moved into the home and the whole team have been outstanding. It's been a sensitive time for him too and everyone went above and beyond to make the process smooth. She's settling in and being well looked after
I moved my aunty into the home early January 2025 and your whole team have been absolutely amazing. I can't thank them enough for helping us manage such a sensitive situation. I already feel my aunty is safe and will be able to enjoy her time and get some fun back into her life.
I am really happy with the service provided. The nurses and carers are very on the ball, knowledgeable and take care of things very quickly. One of the main reasons I am happy is that we as family know she is safe and well looked after.
I always feel at home when I visit Fourways. The staff are friendly and welcoming. All residents look happy to be living there, it's clean, bright and homely. The food smells amazing and looks appealing. I have never felt like it's a care home, when you walk in the cafe is the reception area and it's always busy with residents, family, friends and staff. The have a weekly event schedule and also run fun clubs separate from the event schedule such as dominoes. They go on lunch clubs and participate in local community events throughout the year. My dog is also welcome, which is a nice touch.
Exceptional care has been taken of my mother from March 2024. Nothing has been too much trouble for either the staff or the management and at a very difficult time for our family, we feel we are in safe and professional hands. My mother was made comfortable from day one and there has been an emphasis on ensuring she has the best care. Both myself and my mother are delighted with her care plan and happy with her new home.
Staff always friendly and helpful.
Very pleased with my brother's care it has helped him improve his health and aim for an independent life in the future.
My mum-in-law, who has moderate dementia, has been at Four Ways for around a year. She settled in really well from the outset and has thrived under their care. Visitors are welcome at any time and there are lovely lounge and garden areas to sit, relax and have a cuppa with your loved ones. There is a homely atmosphere that makes visiting a pleasure and the staff are always very welcoming and supportive. There are lots of activities that residents can take part in, and I often see them having a sing-song with a singer/musician who visits regularly. The best thing about Four Ways is seeing my mum-in-law happy and contented in a place that she considers her home. The Management Team and every member of staff should feel proud of their outstanding work.
Our mother has been here now for 12 months and is completely settled and happy. She always comments on the friendly staff and excellent food and feels very comfortable in her room, on the family visits which are very regular we have never had a major concern with our mother's care and feel very reassured that our mother is being well cared for.
