View Full Details of Cherry Tree LodgeI am a friend of a resident of Cherry Tree Lodge and have been visiting for over a year. From my experience, I can't fault the home. Lovely staff, unbelievable cleanliness everywhere and my friend has been so happy there. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely spacious, light and airy, spotlessly clean home with wonderful service.
A lovely care home. I'm pleased with every aspect - staff, cleanliness, activities, outings, decor. There is always something going on - everyone is so happy when you visit. Mum was very apprehensive when she first arrived but soon found her feet and enjoyed all of the activities.
My Mum has just started living in Cherry Tree Lodge in Whitnash. I would like to send a special message to you for the brilliant managers. The customer service is fantastic, also I would like to praise all the carers.
My mother is happy, well looked after. I would recommend Cherry Tree Lodge to anyone needing care. The home is clean and friendly, makes all guests welcome. Has a lovely garden. Do different activities to entertain e.g. cooking or writing practice or knitting, exercise activities. Rooms are a good size with private toilet and wash facilities. Really glad we looked about and found this home. Even take residents out if well enough on different outings. My mum went to watch carol service in local primary school.
Following a terrible experience at a previous home we began to look for alternatives. As soon as we visited Cherry Tree and met the team we knew that this was the right place! 4 months on after moving my mother-in-law to Cherry Tree we can’t be anything other than complimentary about the care she receives. The home is immaculately clean, safe and secure and the rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated with a door leading directly into a beautiful garden. The food is very good quality and always plenty of it, my mother-in-law requires support when eating and there’s always a dedicated carer at the table to help. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to move to Cherry Tree, it’s safe, well-run, friendly and welcoming, I am filled with confidence that my mother-in-law is well cared for by a team that genuinely care and always show kindness and compassion, the activities are also well thought out and engaging, there’s always something going on and it’s great seeing her engaging.
Every single member of the team at Cherry Tree Lodge Care Home was so kind, respectful and understanding of my aunt’s needs from the moment she arrived. As a family, we can’t thank you all enough for everything, we knew you were all making her time with you the best it could be. Thank you so much!
Excellent care for my mum who has been here for over two years. The only thing is food could possibly be better but other than that it’s a lovely home with lovely residents and staff. Mum can make her room her own.
My mum has been there for three years now and is very happy. The staff are lovely. The Activities Coordinator organises new activities every day to keep the residents stimulated. Everyone can join in... or not. My mum's room is always clean and tidy. The staff make sure her phone is always charged and help her to ring people when she forgets how. The family are welcome to sit in the lounge with other residents and I can honestly say I've never met an unhappy resident. Would recommend 100% for anyone needing care for an elderly relative.
Cherry Tree Lodge is a high standard of care, with the building purpose built. My mum has settled in happy and continues to enjoy everyday life. The staff go the extra mile in taking care and responding to needs and also entertain residents daily. I would definitely recommend Cherry Tree Lodge to your loved ones.
Cherry Tree has transformed greatly over the last 12 months due to new staff and management who have made Mum's experience more enjoyable. The staff are extremely entertaining, happy and caring towards all the residents. The home itself is fresh, clean and tidy and maintained to a high level similar to a 4-star hotel. Mum's room is always immaculate, the food is to a high standard. To sum up, I find Cherry Tree Lodge clean, friendly, caring and fun. Well done to all the staff.
My uncle said- 'I was reluctant to come into a care home but very pleased that my niece finally convinced me. Cherry Tree Lodge is a very happy place and I came here with my wife who also loves it here'. Personally, I am relieved that, 18 months after I suggested this, my uncle and auntie are now settled at Cherry Tree, comfortable with items from their old home around them. After a dreadful Christmas with my uncle in hospital and my auntie at home with carers, both extremely poorly and frail, this was a need must move. Thank goodness we were able to get them into Cherry Tree in January and the home has worked its magic, they are both so much better mentally and physically, and it is great to have them back as real people. The improvement in their health, strength and well-being is a testament to the care, good food and social interaction the friendly staff provide, I believe my uncle and auntie have re-gained their independence rather than lost it.
My grandad was a resident and sadly passed away at the end of January. I came to visit him a couple of days before his passing. The team were just the best you could ask for. One of the nurses heard who I was coming to see and she actually stopped as she was leaving to give me an update on him. The care home itself is just a beautiful place. Lovely and open with lots of different activities for the residents. Thank you for making my grandad’s end of life less painful not only for him but for the family as well. My nan is now here and from the photos and what my parents have said she is so much happier.
My dad has been at Cherry Tree Lodge Care Home since July. He has settled here. My dad has got a best friend who he gets on really well with. My dad enjoys the food. My dad enjoys all the activities, especially the singalong. The staff are really pleasant. Cherry Tree Lodge is a well-run home.
In the eighteen months that I have been here, I have been able to settle down so happy that I am now in my comfort zone and happy in this condition. The care and the friendship I get absolutely make me very happy and certainly never want it to change. Happy in the serenity that I have got here. My room is my world in which I am content.
My mum has been at Cherry Tree Lodge Care Home for over two years, she enjoys the fun activities and singing/music. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. My mum gets along with everyone. My mum is a vegetarian and is well catered for. I am pleased with all at Cherry Tree.
My wife has been at Cherry Tree Lodge Care Home for eighteen months. I was sceptical at first but am glad that my wife is here as she seems happy and enjoys singing and dancing and all activities. I even participated in singing and play your cards right with my wife. My wife is settled and happy. I feel she is being cared for and eats very well. I find the staff very helpful. Nice that I am kept up to date with the welfare of my wife.
I found the staff very caring and kind, explaining to residents all the time what they were going to do regarding moving them or other duties they carried out. The home always smelt clean and the bedrooms kept tidy. Sometimes the clothes got put in the wrong room but this was quickly sorted. The staff were very polite. The food was very good and lots of choices for individual needs.
Think carefully about placing your loved ones in this Care Home. You will wait an eternity to gain access due to no reception staff. Be prepared to hear room buzzers sounding for prolonged periods due to understaffing. We have been present when Mum buzzed for help and it took over 10min to get staff to help her to the toilet; feeding being their priority. More often than not our mum's buzzer button is out of reach (she can’t throw it away). No one ever answers the phone if relatives are looking to check in on your loved one (some can’t use mobile phones). Clothes keep going missing and Mum is being dressed in stuff that isn’t hers. Perfume got stolen on Mum's birthday. Mum has been left sat in her own urine for long periods of time despite buzzing for help. Room is often dirty with crockery from previous meals sitting around for hours. The only reason we haven’t moved Mum is because of continued promises of things getting better coupled with Mum's anxiety on relocation.
My 100-year-old mum has been at Cherry Tree Lodge for 6 months. She settled in very quickly and has made a couple of friends. I feel that she is well looked after and I find the staff kind and caring. They are always happy to make a cup of tea for both me and my mum. My mum says that the staff are respectful and treat her with dignity when showering and dressing her. The cleaning lady is lovely and waters her windowsill plants and the laundry lady knows my mum's clothes and puts them away with care. My mum is very particular about her plants and clothes so these acts of kindness are very important to her. During the Christmas lockdown, a member of staff made sure that my mum had her hair cut, washed and dried weekly which is also something that my mum appreciated. The receptionist always greets us with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble for her to do. I am kept updated if there are any changes to my mother's health. I feel very happy leaving my mum in the care of Cherry Tree Lodge.
Change of management has improved the overall performance of the home. Staff far more attentive in all areas of caring and appearance with more communication and far more welcoming. Overall appearance of the home with regard to cleanliness better. Definitely a noticeable change from my aunt in her demeanour and manner, seems much happier.
