View Full Details of Meadow View Care CentreI came to Meadow View for respite after two serious falls which resulted in problems with confidence and an inability to cope with everyday living. The assessment of my needs by management was soon in place and a care plan was followed. Attention was given to my poor appetite and queries were made with regard to prescribed drugs that I was taking. Medical advice was sought. The work ethic of all the staff - caterers, cleaners, day and night staff, was always evident. The carers deservce special mention! Every one of them was extremely hard working and respectful to all residents. They were always smiling, helpful, no matter how difficult a situation. True dedication.
Having visited Meadow View I was impressed with the rooms and facilities. My mother moved in at the end of 2023. She was treated with kindness and respect by all of the staff. As a visitor, I was always made to feel welcome. I was kept up to date with what was happening either by phone or email. With hindsight, I wish my mother had moved into Meadow View earlier than she had.
Myself and my family have been so impressed with the care that has been provided to my mum. She has been treated with dignity, kindness and respect by all the care staff, including her end-of-life care. We are very grateful for everything that was done by the home for Mum, we could find no fault.
The manager and staff of this care home are brilliant. They not only care for my husband really well but they have also supported me through what has been a very difficult decision. If there are any queries the manager is always willing to talk things through as are the staff.
The home is friendly and Dad is happy here which is important.
We have found the facilities, staff, leadership and general care at Meadow View to be excellent. Both our family and my brother who is being cared for there are very happy with all the aspects of this very friendly home. The staff in particular are all cheerful and excellent as is their highly competent leader.
We live in Yorkshire, over 100 miles from Meadow View Care Centre and visit my aunt two or three times a year. She has just celebrated her 100th birthday, probably her longevity is down to the care. She has received whilst living at Meadow View. I am unable to give ratings to some of the questions, however, I have rated the options with the grades I have seen during our visits.
My mum entered this care home in September 2023. I found that my mum was in a home that had created a feeling of security, love and exemplary care. My mum loves all the staff who are so kind and have a ready smile for her. The resident's families are also made to feel very welcome. When I had to travel/stay in New Zealand for over three months I was so reassured my mum was in good hands and I didn't have to worry about her.
My mother is always well cared for. She is kept clean and comfortable and I am happy with her care. All the staff are wonderful and I am pleased that many are people who have been there for some time.
My mother has been a resident of Meadow View Alvester for over four years, and in all the time, she has been very happy. The staff are very caring and also good at communicating with me.
My mum has been a resident at Meadow View Care Home since middle of July 2023. She has received nothing but the best care and kindness while being there. The staff are fantastic and do everything with a smile on their faces! My mum is so happy and settled all down to the manager and her amazing team. Keep doing what you do as it's great!
My 95-year-old father has just been in respite for five weeks at Meadow View Care Centre. The home manager and all the staff were very caring and friendly. What a lovely place.
We were able to spend 48, continuous, hours at the bedside until the sad moment arrived. The loving interest of all the staff on duty was very touching. Even before this, we were impressed by the quality of care given - it cannot be easy caring for upwards of forty residents with varying degrees of dementia. It felt like all residents were treated as individuals.
There was no need for me to go through all of the anxiety of placing my Mum into residential care. The ease in which the manager and staff helped Mum settle into her new home and routine has been outstanding. Kindness, understanding and a bottomless limit of patience is just part of their daily routine. Mum has come alive again, enjoying the company, chatter and activities. She always looks well dressed, clean and the weekly hair dresser is the icing on the cake. Mum loves her food and is thrilled with every meal of home cooked deliciousness. As a regular visitor I am always greeted with a cup of tea and biscuits and any query I may have is discussed and always sorted as soon as is possible. I cannot fault the team here and would recommend anyone having reservations about making these very difficult decisions regarding our loved ones to go and visit and see for yourself. Its definitely worth 5 stars!
Meadow View Care Centre offered my 91-year-old mother respite care for 6 weeks after a fire in her flat. The excellent home manager and all her staff were welcoming and friendly throughout mum's stay. The home itself is clean, bright and cheery and exceptionally well run by the manger who certainly has her finger on the pulse of the Meadow View Care Centre. The food was good quality and plentiful and the staff were caring. Thank you for looking after my mum so well.
I just wish my friend had gone into this home earlier, she was very doubtful about going in but settled quickly and enjoyed it there. The staff were all so kind to her and to me and members of her family. They all had a good sense of humour! The place was always extremely clean and there were a lot of activities for residents to join in with, including trips out for those who were able. My friend's room was spacious and light, and every effort was made to keep her comfortable in her last weeks.
A lovely, warm welcome of staff and residents, good security and nice, clean facilities and a good all-round visit. I have visited several times and it's been a pleasure to see the good work that the staff provided.
My father was a resident of Meadow View Care Centre from March 2019 until his passing in November 2022, at age 101. While there, he lived a happy and contented life. The manager and staff were very caring and made his time there happy. The standard of care was above excellent and nothing was too much regarding his physical and mental well-being. My father was one of "the family" and his dignity was upheld at all times. If their qualities are what you are looking for I would recommend Meadow View Cere Centre without hesitation.
Meadow View Care Centre took on my mother at short notice due to a housing issue. They were very accommodating, friendly and professional. My mum, who doesn't like change at the best of times settled in very quickly and now loves being there.
Due to dementia, Mum lived with me for 18 months until her needs exceeded my capabilities. I feared that she would miss the love and care I provided when she moved to care home. I could not have been more wrong. The staff at Meadow View have been amazing allowing Mum to settle in very quickly. Her room is lovely and she had a perm on her second day which was very important to her. Family visitors have been well looked after and we all feel that Mum could not be in a better place.
