Mum has been a resident at Park View since September 2021, she was previously in a Care Home in Coventry for approx 4 months. It has been a challenging time for Mum as she has always been an extremely independent lady and finds it difficult to be in a Care home rather than her own home. The setting that Park View enjoys and the close proximity to my own home were big factors in deciding on her move to Warwick. The Staff have worked hard to make her feel welcome and are sympathetic to her privacy and independence choices. Park View offers the security her Dementia condition requires and staff work hard to encourage her to join in with activities and socialise with other residents at meal times. It gives our family comfort that Mum is safe and well 24/7 in Park View. Although a very difficult decision to move her from her own home it was the correct one for her at this stage of her life.
Mum has been at Park View now for about 6 months, and my brother and I are extremely happy to have found the right care home for her needs. Since the day she arrived, the Manager, and all the staff have been brilliant. Mum's dementia, and moving out of her own home created a number of initial challenges, but the team handled these with real professionalism, patience and care. She's really settled in now and loves all her carers. She enjoys all the activities, especially the singing and trips out, getting her nails painted and hand massages, and she has a wonderful room looking over the park and trees. The whole home is immaculately clean and the staff and management do a fantastic job. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Mum is coming towards her first anniversary at Park View and I am really happy that we chose this place for her. The staff were very helpful during the settling-in period and now Mum really feels part of the community here. The activities team work hard to involve people and create a programme that everyone can benefit from, and the whole staff team really care about each person individually. Mum has a lovely room overlooking the park and we enjoy sitting and watching the trees and birds. When she first arrived at Park View, Mum wanted to spend most of her time in her room, but after just a short time, she was joining in activities and sharing company in the dining room and lounge. It's been a big journey to move Mum from her own home but I can honestly say it was a good decision and one I'm glad we made as a family.
On arrival at Park View, the entrance is very inviting and feels cared for, the room for visitors is very welcoming and feels calm. The floor layout for all floors is very good, with lots of amenities at hand. The room are of a very good size and quality. The manager at Park View, is running a good ship with all her fantastic staff of varying ages working together, presenting a very caring team.
My mum moved into Park View earlier in 2024, and the team have welcomed and supported her in a way that really exceeded our expectations. Everyone from the Manager, the Care Team Leader and all of the team are such caring people, that it really feels like a home and as time has gone on, we are more and more impressed. There is a real focus on maintaining resident's dignity, involving them in every part of their care and importantly, for us, ensuring fabulous communication with our family. The team keep a brilliant record ( photos and little videos) of the stimulating and fun things that they provide every day, which is so great to see. The home is spotless and warm and bright with a fabulous menu which Mum really enjoys. There are interesting events including concerts and trips out ( something every day). However, it is the small touches like someone having a quiet one-to-one chat or giving a hand massage that really shows the sort of amazing care provided here. Thank you.
My mother has been a resident at Park View for approximately six months. Unfortunately, Mum had a fall shortly after arriving at the care home but she was well looked after before and after that. Mum had several weeks in hospital and was very happy to be back at Park View. The staff are all very kind and professional. Nothing is too much trouble and my mum's every request is dealt with promptly. The food is excellent and the home is always warm and clean. I would highly recommend Park View.
My mother-in-law has been a resident at Park View since March 2024. She has Mixed Dementia and some mobility issues. From Day 1, Park View concentrated on getting her settled in and integrated into all the activities available. They went out of their way to learn what her favoured foods were and what she liked to do as a pastime. Her short-term memory is poor, so getting a clear picture of what she has been doing day to day isn't always possible by talking to her alone. Park View asked our permission to record the activities she joined and then regularly share with us pictures and descriptions. It is so lovely to see her enjoying arts and crafts, exercise, bowling, cooking classes and day trips. Her room is very comfortable and smart and now personalized to make it feel like home. She has a wonderful view of the park and well-kept gardens. Management Team and all care staff are friendly, proactive and genuinely interested in her happiness.
We chose Park View because of its location which allowed for our family member to be visited often. Based on our experience, we would suggest looking elsewhere if you possibly can. We have learned that it is easy to be distracted by a modern, bright, environment and not to think hard enough about how much autonomy a care home resident might be granted, or how much any issue raised might be listened to. We now wonder whether some homes might focus too much on attracting new business and so whether the initial impression of great communication and care might not always be able to be sustained?
Since my father joined Park View he has been treated with dignity and respect by all staff who make time to chat and joke with him. Meals are amazing, varied and nutritious plus the staff really are passionate about clients' individuality and tailor the care accordingly. I am able to finally relax and have memories in my dad's company rather than worry over medicines or care concerns as I did when I cared for him at home. Thank you for seeing dad as I do, a whole human being.
A wonderful, well-run care home for my father, surrounded by staff who always go the extra mile to look after him. He regularly participates in activities which staff arrange for the residents, and he always loves these, as the smiles clearly show. The staff are patient and caring, the food is good, the home is always clean and, importantly, he is always treated with dignity and respect. And, importantly for family members, communication with me is strong - I always receive a phone call or email if I need to be made aware of something. I'm so pleased that we managed to secure a place at Park View - knowing that my father is happy and well cared for is so important to me, and I'm so grateful to all the staff for everything that they do.
Mum moved to Park View earlier this year following a period in hospital. Leaving her home and moving into care was a stressful time for Mum and our family, but from day one the Park View Team did everything possible to help Mum settle and feel happy. Her room is bright and modern, with all the facilities she could need, together with a fabulous view of the gardens and park beyond. The facilities team helped put up some of Mum's pictures etc to make the room feel like home. We were immediately impressed at the efforts Park View make to engage residents in activities they will enjoy. They took time to understand what Mum likes and they provided a weekly view of planned activities. Park View take care of all Mum's medicines, appointments, arranges chiropody visits, laundry and provides tasty and varied meals. The best part about Mum living at Park View is that she has constant company and care, from a well-managed team of carers, who can't do enough to help Mum throughout the day and night.
Our aunt has now been a resident at Park View for nearly 4 years and in that time, we have seen a lot of senior managers come and go. The current home manager's dedication has transformed the home in many ways. Her door is always open for any type of conversation and we are amazed at the trouble she takes performing any task - small or large. Care staff and all staff are kind and respectful to both residents and family members. Our Aunt will always say; 'If you can't be in your own home, you couldn't be in a better place'. Long may this standard continue and we would like to say, 'many thanks to all staff'.
Very friendly and welcoming, welcomed by some nice staff members, the home looked lovely and felt homely. I thought the sweet shop was a nice touch as well. The home didn't feel like a care home and the gardens looked colourful and welcoming.
My father moved into Park View last September. We chose it partly because it is very near our house so we can pop in frequently to see him. But also because it was clean, modern and very pleasant and the staff were professional and very friendly. From day one, the manager has worked closely with us to ensure my dad is receiving personalised, tailor-made care. We feel extremely open to approach her at any time with any concerns, thoughts or questions we have and these have always been received positively and acted upon immediately. My father has deteriorated in recent weeks with dementia, but they have monitored this closely and adapted things to make him as safe and comfortable as possible. He is always treated with care, warmth, patience and respect. The staff do a great job and are always friendly and jolly. We are very happy with the home and their efforts and would not hesitate to recommend them.
My dad moved into Park View in October, it's been a bit of a bumpy road for him. The staff at Parkview have really helped him and our family to settle. The staff are excellent and very friendly. Dad always looks clean and tidy. I love to receive messages and see the social media photos of my dad having fun and adventures. Dad's key worker always goes above and beyond, also the office staff and management keep us informed and are very approachable. The activities team do an amazing job and takes him to some great places that Dad has not been to for years, or if ever. The staff no matter what time of the day always have Dad's best interests at heart and I hope this may continue for many years as Dad may be the youngest resident at Parkview at the moment. Please continue to keep up the good work and standards of care.
My husband is just finishing his first time here in respite care. He has dementia. The care he has received has been excellent. The staff are caring, well informed and empathetic. This man, who was reluctant at first to go into respite care, has enjoyed his time, he settled in very quickly and will be staying here again.
My mother has been a resident here since September 2023. She is very happy here and is made to feel very comfortable from the excellent team of carers. Facilities are modern and clean. There are lots of activities for the residents and the staff work hard to give the residents the best possible time.
Mum was admitted to Park View in January 2024 and became a permanent resident in February. This beautiful care home is amazing, I cannot speak highly enough about it. The home manager is exceptional. She instantly puts you at ease at what is a very emotional and stressful time as well as taking the time to explain everything in detail. When talking to her you never feel rushed or not listened to. The staff are also fantastic. They treat Mum with such respect, dignity and patience. The facilities at the home are also great. Mum's room and en-suite bathroom is a good size with everything she could possibly need. The home is spotlessly clean and the food is great. I haven't seen Mum eat so much in a long time! I always feel very welcome when I visit, everyone is always happy and smiling and I feel comfortable enough to make myself a cup of coffee. All in all Park View and the whole team are fantastic. You could not wish for a better place for your loved one.
Dad is well looked after at Park View. Particular shout out to one member of staff in particular. Everything clean and tidy. The manager genuinely cares about the residents and goes above and beyond. They are doing more activities and days out which is so welcomed as it helps so much with dementia patients.
