View Full Details of Rugby Care CentreThis being my first visit to Rugby care home I definitely feel a lot more relaxed to know my Mother is in such good hands. seeing the level of care from the hard working team has put my mind at ease. knowing my Mother is in such capable hands and getting round the clock care and attention really does mean the world to me and i can see that she's happy. Thank you so much everyone at Rugby Care Home who make my Mum's quality of life so much better.
The staff are excellent, caring, thoughtful, very happy to assist residents and relatives. The rooms are adequate but really very small and not sufficiently roomy for relatives to visit. Visiting in the sitting room can be noisy at times because of the TV so conversations can be tricky. I'm hopeful that the garden will be used more this year when warm weather allows.
When I saw the house, it looked like the Hammer House of Horror. It is dark and gloomy. My husband's room had only a flimsy 5 tog cover on the bed with the stuffing in it sparse and patchy through age and years of use. The whole place, including the back garden, has exposed pipes (I suspect sewer pipes by the smell). The paved pathways are so uneven and are a trip hazard. Most of the residents were asleep in their wheelchairs or asleep at the table, with faces in their food. Staff were so overworked they had no time to chat to residents.
My father has been a resident at Rugby Care Centre for almost 18 months now and we are more than satisfied with the care he is provided. Dad suffers from dementia, but it is clear when we visit that he is extremely well looked after, and content, in his surrounding. The staff and management are excellent and provide an excellent level of care and attentiveness. It was Dad's 80th Birthday last week and the staff provided food and balloons when his friend visited to celebrate with him, which was brilliant and really appreciated.
I was one of a small group of friends who visited a resident for his 80th birthday. Not only were we provided with a nice room so that we could meet all together, and we were delighted to see that our friend appeared in a good state, evidently well-looked after. Moreover, the care staff clearly knew him well, and were wonderful in providing a lovely buffet for us (too much for us to manage, in fact!). They even took photos that we can share of this very reassuring and enjoyable occasion. Many thanks to all concerned.
My mother has been a resident for several years. Throughout this time I have always considered her support and care to be extremely caring and professional. The carers really care, building a good rapport with the residents. I feel very confident that my mother is in good hands.
I found the care second to none. The staff are so friendly and caring - nothing seems to be any trouble.
The Manager, Carers and the Activities Coordinator and all of the other brilliant staff look after mum with care, compassion, humour, and experience which really engages her and gives our family comfort in unprecedented times, we are really appreciative of all of the things they all do on a daily basis and the chats on the phone.
I am happy and content with the care given to me and feel safe and secure with my care.
I am extremely pleased with the care and attention given to my mum. Nothing is ever too much trouble either for the caring staff or management. You feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. Thank you to everyone your care for my mum is greatly appreciated.
The short time my aunt was in this care home for respite, the service and care for her was outstanding. We all take comfort to know that there is a home for her to go into; should she ever need it.
The staff are always friendly, they spend lots of time with the residents and most important of all, the staff all understand the residents and what is going on at this point in their lives. I would recommend Rugby Care 100%.
I was very worried about my father in law not coping at home and was delighted when he moved into Rugby Care Centre. Its been a great relief and I can see he is well taken care of there.
The staff are wonderful and really took care of nan really well. They always went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble.
I just wanted to send a quick note to say that the team at Rugby Care Centre really are doing a good job. The home is so lively and fun all the time which is so different than other homes which tend to seem so quiet in comparison. There's things happening all the time and I think that's very nice for the people that stay in the home. Also, it's good that they are just on a main highstreet so they can get out and about easily.
My gran came in for respite under the moving on bed system and the staff were absolutely wonderful in getting her rehabilitated and on her feet.
I couldn't recommend this care home more highly - gran has been made to feel very welcome and settled in wonderfully. The activities are great and very lively environment.
-Mum has been really well looked after and taken care of - the food is lovely, and the staff are very kind and caring.
This is a very nice home and I like that my nan has always been treated with love , respect and kindness which I appreciate is not always easy. The staff are lovely and show great care, they are approachable and whenever I visit there is always a lively and happy atmosphere and you can tell that the staff like being there.
My friend came in for respite, and he was well taken care of and encouraged to rehabilitate with great success.
