View Full Details of Salford HouseMy mum, recently deceased, spent the last two years of her life at Salford House. She went there early in 2021, following a 3-month stay in hospital. The result of her illness, along with Covid restrictions whilst in hospital and before, was that she had deteriorated quite significantly both mentally and physically. The care she received from the minute she arrived at Salford House was fantastic, starting from how the staff helped her to settle into a strange environment, gently encouraging her to engage in activities and helping her to improve her mobility. She became happier and less stressed than we, her family, had seen her in a long time. As Mum deteriorated towards the end of her life, we could not have wished for better care or more thoughtfulness regarding what was in her best interests. Thank you to the marvellous team at Salford House for giving Mum a loving home through to the end of her life.
Our mum has been a resident here since last year. She was not in a good place, having been in hospital for three months, but Salford House has turned her around; she is better than we've seen here in a very long time; she's laughing and smiling on every visit, and I can only thank the staff for their friendliness and there approach to Mum. We never wanted to have her in care, but it was taken out of our hands, but if anyone is looking for loved ones to be placed anywhere, this is the place as the staff and management are so friendly, and they go that further mile for everyone. Our mum has Ceoloch disease, and the night Mum came into Salford's House, they bent over backwards to ensure she had the correct food. She is thriving and has gained some weight, and she has company by the bag fulls. Thank you to the manager and all your truly amazing staff!
My mother has been resident in Salford House for nearly a year, and at all times, has been treated with courtesy, kindness and dignity. All her needs are looked after wonderfully, physically, emotionally and spiritually. The house is always spotless but is still very obviously a home where staff and residents chat and activities are numerous and varied. There is often the sound of laughter in the halls and lounge as staff mix with and care for the residents. It was a hard decision to move her into residential care, but I know she couldn't be in better hands. The Salford House team have given both my mother and our family peace of mind. Thank you.
My mother has been in Salford House for about 18 months now. Throughout that time, the staff have been very caring and considerate. Her health has recently taken a dive, and this has been handled very well. I would not hesitate to recommend Salford House.
In the short time we have been going to Salford House, we have found the staff are very welcoming, regardless of how busy they are, and they always make us feel very welcome! They offer amazing care to their residents and always have little activities for them to do. The house holds a very friendly atmosphere, and they seem to work around every individual.
Salford House is a wonderful, caring family. The residents are treated with the utmost respect, and every need is catered for in a loving and happy environment. The staff are all dedicated to the welfare and happiness of the residents and their relatives. It is homely, welcoming and a pleasure to visit.
When visiting, the staff are always friendly, approachable and lovely. I'm so happy my nan is at this care home. Not only does she get to stay in the village that she loves and be by her family, but they also love her in the care home. They break her days up, and she even started to do things she used to love. She can't wait for the summer so she can get out in the garden area as she loves the plants and gardening. They break her days up by doing activities with her which is amazing to see everything she has done, and she loves the staff, which is a massive bonus. Nan has never been one to mix too well; however, at Christmas, it was lovely to see the other residents in the dining room and enjoying herself. We, as a family, can't thank the staff for all their hard work and friendliness enough. So to you all, a massive thank you.
I cannot fault Salford House care home in any way, and having worked in care for several years this has got to be one of the nicest homes I have ever seen or visited. The staff here go above and beyond all measures. They are kind, caring and professional. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they are more like one big family which is fantastic. The activities and entertainment are fabulous and always done with the residents' interests and thoughts in mind. They are always fun and the interaction with service users/residents is amazing. The food is always fabulous, lovely and fresh and even some homegrown in their little vegetable patch. It’s just a fabulous home all round and I would recommend it to anyone who I knew who was looking to have to put a loved somewhere where they would be well looked after and well cared for with the utmost dignity and professionalism, somewhere to them that just means home.
My mother moved into the care home in May 2020 during the pandemic. We were all concerned for her safety and thought a care home would be the best option. The carers and management here have been fantastic. They are caring and thoughtful and nothing is too much trouble. I can call my mother daily and see all the lovely photos on Facebook. She always talks about the cakes they have. The team are always available to talk to and respond to any queries I have via email. Having considered a couple of other homes this was by far the most homely and personal. Activities are on daily and it's great seeing them in the garden. We are so happy we chose Salford House and it's so reassuring to know our mother is well cared for. Thank you team Salford.
Having visited the care home to work with the residents having fun with communication through puppets, I was elated to see how engaged the staff and residents are with each other. The residents are stimulated, encouraged and respected and the staff are calm, compassionate and thoroughly engaged in the residents' care, fun and education. Since visiting I've seen so many posts and exciting events that the team have on during lockdown and their ideas and encouragement are first-rate. Emails have been responded to, ideas followed up, the communication has been excellent. All during a very challenging period. Well done.
My father-in-law has been a resident at Salford House since January. Prior to lockdown, the staff were very welcoming when we visited and my father-in-law was being well looked after. He was getting stronger, enjoying his food and being cared for properly. We had a slight hiccup when he fell and broke his hip, however, 10 days in hospital saw that put right and he was back at Salford to recover. The lockdown activities that have been organised have looked marvellous; the residents clearly enjoying themselves from the photos posted on FB. We’re looking forward to being able to visit again, however in the meantime, we know he’s in the best place. Thank you to the manager and his dedicated team at Salford House.
Mum has been very well looked after at Salford House. The staff talk to Mum and give her choices. She is well fed and clean, with clean hair at all times. The home provides activities, but also quiet places where Mum can rest. The home is secure with good checks on doors and signing visitors in and out. I can always talk to the staff and the manager when I have questions. Certain staff are assigned to Mum so they know her well and can let me know how she is. Mum has had fewer falls and better health since she moved to Salford House.
My father has been a resident at Salford House for almost a year. I am grateful for the care and support they provide as I live some distance away and only visit once a week. I am always greeted by friendly staff who also treat my father with dignity and respect and have built a good relationship with him. I am very happy with the home.
Excellent professional care.
I think Salford House does a good job and looks after my bed-bound mother as well as can be expected.
My mother has been made very welcome and has settled well into her new home, Salford House. She likes the food and seems to have made some friends with other residents and the carers. She would have made more friends if she wasn't so deaf. The staff are very friendly and many of them have been there for many years which is a good indicator and also means that there is consistent care. There are lots of organised activities and outings most months.
Salford house carers are very helpful and friendly.
The staff are welcoming and very kind and caring towards my mother and she enjoys her time at the residential home. There are lots of activities and trips for residents to enjoy if they wish to.
Homely privately owned. The atmosphere is friendly. Plenty of activities, days out. My mother is very settled and feels part of the family.
The care home is clean and very well run. My mother is happy and the residents all appear happy and content. Home cooked food is exceptional. The management are approachable and have a great knowledge of my mother's likes and dislikes. She is always clean and tidy. The home is a lovely environment and feels like a hotel for retired gentlefolk.
