View Full Details of Coxbench HallThe staff are all friendly and welcoming to both visitors and residents. There are sometimes issues with staffing particularly at busy times.
Always a warm welcome when visiting or having the resident out for a few hours. Telephone calls are always answered professionally and messages are passed on to the resident when applicable. My friend is very happy there and food is excellent. She is well looked after and staff treat her with dignity and love. Many activities take place but my friend prefers to sit and read as she has arthritis in her hands. The only thing not 100% is not enough staff sometimes, overnight staff are well paid but not much public transport to get them there. Must remember too that Coxbench Hall Care Home is a care home, not a nursing home.
My mother has stayed at Coxbench Hall for respite care a couple of times this year and I cannot speak highly enough about this home. The carers are wonderful with the residents - they genuinely care for them and are always friendly and helpful. The food is of a high standard and Mum always misses her three-course lunch when she has to go home! She loves the daily activities too particularly the baking club. Every time my mother comes, there seems to have been improvements to the communal areas whether somewhere has been decorated or new equipment - there was a new TV in the conservatory on my mother's last visit. Most importantly of all for me though, it feels like a safe, caring environment and I am confident Mum is receiving the best care during her stays.
I have been impressed by the care, respect and dignity given to my mother, and she is very pleased with it and continues to thrive and enjoy herself after almost two years here. They have been very strict about visiting during and since Covid in an effort to keep residents Covid-free. My mother takes part in all the activities offered but would like to have more opportunities to go on visits away from the home, which are limited due to them having only one minibus.
My father moved into Coxbench Hall three months ago, after a short spell in hospital. The staff were very helpful with this transition, visiting him in hospital to assess him and make sure that they could meet his needs. We had to choose a home at short notice, and we are very glad that we chose Coxbench, as their care of Dad as an individual has been excellent. He has settled very quickly and is happy there. After his hospital stay his mobility had reduced, but we have seen a great improvement since which suggests that the staff encourage him to move around. Whenever we visit or call the staff are very pleasant, and all seem to know Dad. We know that he can be stubborn, but they approach him with patience and kindness! There were some communication issues regarding hospital appointments initially, but these seem to have been resolved now.
Our mum has flourished during her residency at Coxbench Hall. The care is perfect for her, with someone on-hand to help her whenever she needs it. Her room is simple but perfectly adequate for her, and she loves her new life. She is getting three proper meals per day, and the company she gets from the staff and the other residents has made her life easy again. Thank you to all the staff and management who have had a very difficult time coping with the pandemic over the last few years, but they have always been able to put the needs of the residents first.
Unfortunately, the sales rhetoric doesn’t match the reality. It’s not feebly admitted but the facility is/was understaffed and this pays forward into the level of care able to be given. I was also quite surprised by the low quality of the decor.
Our mother has been at Coxbench Hall Care Home for the past few months. It was an anxious time for Mum and all the family making the decision about her move into care but all the management and care staff were helpful, friendly, sensitive and caring during the process. We cannot believe the difference it has made to Mum and how she has settled in, made new friends and feels safe and cared for in her new environment. Safety appears to be a high priority and our family feels reassured that Mum has the best of care at the same time as providing her with compassion, dignity, respect and choice. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and genuinely seem to have their residents' welfare at heart. Well done and thank you to the whole Coxbench team.
My mother was admitted in February and taking into account the 'settling in' period, my mother has been treated with respect, dignity and with her best interest at heart. The safety procedures at this home are of a high standard in that if my mother was to fall, the staff are there almost immediately. This gives me great peace of mind. The staff seem to regard themselves as extended family. I am highly satisfied.
My dad is really happy and settled at Coxbench Hall. Initially, he was a daycare user and had some respite stays and loved the activities, the themed dinner evenings and the wonderful staff. He has been in full-time care almost a year now and is very content. Furthermore, how they have responded to the Covid crisis is outstanding and their introduction of technology to support residents is amazing. My dad can’t wait to get off the phone when I call but I think he quite likes to see me on the iPad! I can highly recommend Coxbench.
Words cannot express how highly our family would recommend Coxbench Hall for anyone considering moving loved ones into a care environment. Coxbench was home to Mum before she sadly passed away and Dad continues to comfortably reside there. The home has a feeling of belonging as carers work with a passion to provide outstanding care catered to each individual. There is literally never a dull moment as residents are invited to enjoy the gardens, take a bus trip or explore new or treasured hobbies. The monthly calendar is always full of activities ensuring everyone is entertained. At this time of Covid, staff have worked tirelessly as a team to ensure residents are protected and the strictest of safety measures are in place. We are updated by daily videos and also offered video chats and window visits. Finally, the home is beautiful, clean and welcoming to all. We feel residents are truly treated as family and because of this, it provides a smooth transition from their previous home.
This is a pleasant and comfortable residential home. management always will to sort out or advise on any concerns, The staff are very helpful, caring and willing to go the extra mile. Extensive grounds offer plenty of opportunity for exercise e.g walking. This is my fifth stay and each return feels like coming home.
The care and love shown by all the staff to both our parents has been such godsend to us a family, knowing their safe and well is a massive help to us. We couldn't ask to find a more caring home. From when Mum and Dad both entered the home, it's been exceptional.
Coxbench Hall has looked after my mum and dad fantastically. I can’t fault them. The care they give each resident is second to none. They treat each resident as an individual and are aware of all their individual needs, likes and dislikes. They always have time for the residents and relatives. Nothing is to much trouble, and “the door is always open” if we have any queries or concerns, which are dealt with quickly and efficiently. During the Coronavirus crisis, the staff have been amazing ensuring that relatives have been updated daily with videos and pictures, which is very comforting when we can’t physically see them. Coxbench Hall treats residents and relatives as part of the family, which I feel is very important when looking for a care home for a loved one.
My father in law was a resident at Coxbench. All the staff were amazing and made his final few months on this earth the best he’d had in years. He was so happy at Coxbench and this showed. Amazing care!
My mother had been a resident at Coxbench for 18 months and she was very well looked after and very happy there. She was in the latter stages of dementia and the care and stimulation she received was great. She received end of life care at Coxbench Hall and was treated with dignity and respect by all the staff who cared for her.
This is a lovely care home, welcoming and clean. No care home smell, always an open door policy. My nana is really well looked after and very happy. Carers are brilliant, this is a very expensive care home but we wouldn't want her anywhere else.
Residents are treated with dignity and care. When residents request help it is dealt with immediately. Food and drink are always available not just at set times. Since I have been visiting Coxbench Hall when I have had a query or question it has always been dealt with promptly and effectively. Residents always seem happy and my relative settled much better than I thought she was going to.
Thank you so much for looking out for Mum. It's great that she is there among so many kind and stimulating people, and not stuck on her own somewhere where nobody takes time for her. I am extremely happy with the standard of care that Mum gets, and appreciate the dignity she is given at such a vulnerable stage of her life. Well done Coxbench Hall team.
